Avatar n tn In extreme cases, pineal cysts can result in loss of consciousness, suicide, or seizure disorder. So please take this seriously, particularly if the cyst is causing intracranial pressure such as hydrocephalus. 2) Pineal cysts can be symptomatic if they are larger than 0.5 cm. Problems occur when the cysts cause compression in the brain, or when they are associated with apoplexy or hydrocephalus.

Avatar m tn I am aware of the precautions with Trazodone. I currently take 50mg at night to help sleep (and to try and help with depression, but it doesn't seem to). Like so many others here, I try to rationalize my problem by searching for ways to mitigate my upcoming discomfort before I stop taking opiates. I sit and count the remaining pills to determine when I have to start weaning (a point which I have probably passed already).
Avatar f tn My daughter takes it for complicated migraines that lead to seizures and topomax is an anti seizure drug. Her neurologist never mentioned hair loss. I even called to verify. She said that hair loss isn't mentioned. but that everyone's system is different. If extreme weight is involved then that is the culprit not the drug. The drug only helps kill the appetite. YOu still need some will. The weight loss you are taking about is fantastic.
Avatar n tn they know a seizure is coming on.) This is usually a feeling of lightheadedness and a drop in blood pressure. I can usually avoid the seizure by putting my head between my legs to get more blood to my brain. I have read that others have had a diagnosis of GAD (generalized anxiety disorder) and IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) related to these events. I have been diagnosed with both in the past. I am sure that this is vasovagal fainting associated with valsalva.
Avatar n tn Has anyone experienced any seizure-like activity? Not actually a grand mal but almost like your brain is having misfirings and they all the sudden catch up w/ each other. I hope this makes some sense. I have been having this for a few days now. I am worried because it seems like everyone here is having a slow-down of symptoms and I feel like mine are doing the opposite. I have tingling everyday and now this.
Avatar n tn I think we could be experiencing some type of epileptic seizure, which only manifest itself when the brain is the sleeping mode. The sleep study will clear this one up. Just think how colorful things will be once your sleep study is conducted, and the answers start to pour in. Just a few more days--hang in there, my friend—Good luck—Please keep in touch. Bobito.
