I have wheezing, shortness of breath. Doctor has prescribed LAVOLIN inhaler - it works for a very short while and my wheezing, breathing difficulty returns back again. Can anyone please help?
Its toxicity depends on the route of administration, duration, exposure and dosage. The route of administration is the most important determinant of toxicity. I hope this helps.
Another posibility is a reactive airway disease. That is really more of a collection of lung conditions where the lungs are too reactive to harmless substances. It is important to rule out other reactive airway issues to get the propper treatment. There are other conditions that cause broncho-constriction besides asthma.
Would this route of administration work similar to faster acting benzodiazepines such as Xanax or Ativan, or does it depend solely on having a steady amount of Klonopin in your bloodstream already?
I'm confused; why would a doctor prescribe Klonopin for anxiety attacks (i.e., take it as needed)?

I've been stressed out, and I drink a little bit of caffeine daily.
Anyone think that the twitchiness could be due to exercise?

My midwife is uncertain if I can use this while pregnant and I have read up on possible effects to the baby and I am terrified. Has anyone used this while pregnant??

I am a 21 year old male living in Toronto, Ontario and do not smoke. I have severe allergies to most trees. For the past 6 years I have developed a chronic dry cough in the fall season until it snows in the winter. When I blow my nose, there is a sticky white mucus that comes out. I have been told by the allergist that this is asthma and allergies. I am taking 2 puffs of QVAR in the morning and night, half a tablet of reactine and singular at night, and Avamys in the morning.
t had any xray then, because I got pregnant August 2016 while taking my medecines, I gave birth May 21,2017 and always attacked by my ashtma, and now I went to my doctor and gave me co amoxiclav 625mg and salbutamol+guaefenesin tablet started taking October 18,2017, and had my xray ang got my result just yesterday, and result is upper right lobe infiltrates, ptb considered. what does it means ?
This can cause bloating of stomach and consequent breathlessness. Check with your doctor for adequate control of asthma. Ventolin or salbutamol is a rescue inhaler, that means you take this when you have an episode of Asthma. There are reliever inhalers which work for up to 12 hours after taking each dose. I took her to the doctor who prescribed her Salbutamol cough syrup 3.5 mg 3 times a day saying that she has wheezing. Is it safe? It is not releiving the cough at all, already tried for one and half day. It is about the same.
There is no benefit to taking this sublingually that I know of. Generally the reason you take anything that way is to get it into your system as quickly as possible or because saliva is beneficial to absorption. With 5-HTP, it takes some time for your system to react to it assuming your body finds it necessary to have more coming in -- if it doesn't, it just evacuates it. The same thing is true when you take medication targeted at serotonin, though they work quit differently.
I had stridor 7 hours ago and rushed to hospital as I cannot have salbutamol. I had adrenaline IM and also nebulised. 7 Hours later my heart rate is still sitting at 120 at rest and I have tingling in my fingers and hands, waves on pain in my left chest (that I had at hospital nothing showed on ecg), and short of breath. Should I be worried????
The result was non reactive. I inhale sometimes salbutamol because I have asthma. Do you think it can alter the result of the test?

Not sure how it works, but a drug company will conduct multiple trials of the same phase before progressing to the next stage?
Flovent inhaler contains steroids and is given to prevent an attack of asthma. Ventolin inhalers contain the active ingredient salbutamol, which is a type of medicine known as a short-acting beta 2 agonist. This is given when a person actually has an attack of Asthma, and is referred to as an ‘escape inhaler’. It would be good to have it with you, handy to use it when you need it. When I consume antibiotics (like levooflaxin, ofloxacin), antiamoebics (ornidazole, metronidazole), I remain fine for the time period I consume the medicines.
