My son is academically very bright-he memorizes street direction within 1-2 trips, he knows his right from left, he can spell 3-4 letter words, he memorizes songs and book within a few times hearing/reading them. He has always preferred books to toys. He is very emotionally intelligent-he is extremely empathetic and states, while crying or upset, that he is mad/sad/worried/scared. However, he is not potty trained. I have been trying for about 6 months.
Have u girls heard songs that you can dedicate to your baby?...I was hearing some n thought I'd share some with you girls...whenever I'm having a bad day listening to these songs help me..makes me think of my future with my son who is due march 8th..here are a few ill post more as I hear them...

Yes I cried badly because my boyfriend was sleepy and didn't want to talk and it made him sad so he talked to me but I was still crying because he didn't want to talk to me in the beginning!
My father in law started hearing songs , actually marching band type songs and his mind other than hearing things he was fine. The song would be repeated over and over and it sounded just like a radio he said. He did wear a hearing aid in his one ear. I can't remember which ear heard the music when I try to think back, but I do remember reading that when a person starts to lose their hearing, these audible hallucinations can start. This might be what your mother is experiencing.
I saw a suggestion on Pinterest to get the baby an email and start emailing songs, stories and pictures, along with a blog and keep doing this until its 18th birthday... Btw, Pinterst has great baby stiff ideas for decorating, seeing/crafts, etc... Great way to pass the time! :)
Try music therapy (think ckassical), and what I REALLY suggest along with the others, is to read your bible. Start in the book of Psalms. You can go online and read it, too.

The holidays are extremely hard on those of us who have lost someone. Take it easy. You need to be in safe place with family if possible. It takes about a year to get through the grief process. All the 'days' to get through without the loved one, and as you mentioned....songs of the holidays. Whew.
I just found this question and hope I am not to late to put in my vote. The main problem is I do not always have the author right or te exact name of the song. I like "The Chimes Of Time" by Elvis Presley. It talks about someone slipping and falling and was that someone you. I rededicated my life to Christ when I was listening to that song.
