Avatar m tn How do you justify enduring the pain, in order to do something you love... Is it worth the pain and even possibly further injury, to do something that you love? I am a pianist...although I am no Beethoven and can't read sheet music (I play by ear), I still do get enjoyment out of playing around on the electronic keyboard and even trying to compose from time to time. My major problem is the fact that I have arthritis in both my wrists.

11119474 tn?1428702170 LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. And all the comments here are hilarious. I can't help but chuckle now thinking of someone trying to take a horse through a small Asda (UK Walmart) in the UK!!!! Maestro is beautiful and his registered name makes me hear sparkling piano notes. Just lovely. Bless you.
Avatar m tn It all started when one day I played the piano and guitar for several hours. The following morning my wrist hurt and were going numb. I had no swelling. I waited a couple days, then when I thought I was ok I lifted some weights. I realized it wasn't better. School made it impossible for my wrists to recover. I tried playing the piano a week later, but they still hurt. For months I've been trying to let them recover, but they won't.
Avatar f tn The things I use to love doing (like playing piano, going out with my friends, watching movies, etc.) became uninteresting. I feel like everything is more difficult and I can't do anything the right way (like piano or school). I can't always manage to fall asleep, but when I do, it's because I'm exhausted from crying so much. That makes me worn out all day. I always have bad headaches and sometimes heartache.
Avatar m tn The color of an eye come from the iris. The iris does not change color. However it may appear to change color due to changes in ambient light and also pupil size. (much like the colors of a painting may appear to change if the light is varied by a reostat).
Avatar m tn He subsequently had a trabeculectomy in one of his eyes in his late seventies and an IOL was fitted in that eye he also ended up with the iris sticking to the lens capsule and the iris was very badly torn in the operation.(maybe Pilocarpine was slightly to blame) All in all a very sad state of affairs for my poor old Dad. When he died age 84 his eyesight was in a very bad way with tunnel vision and very bad acuity.
Avatar n tn I have hazel brown eyes, sometime they look very green, sometimes very amber/gold and sometimes light to medium brown, but they have always had a black ring around the iris. I am 43 years old, and I've always had this black ring. It actually accentuates the color of my iris and I love it. I've read a bunch of personal comment on the net about this ring being a condition of the immune system.
Avatar f tn I find out on the 29th what my little babe is, I have a really strong feeling its a girl but we'll see :)

7491288 tn?1405987203 Omg so excited my baby Iris Elaine was born today 1:36pm. I went in yesterday morning at 4am to be induced and by 7-7:30pm or so they took me off potocin drip, and placed cervidil strip in me at 9pm. This morning woke up with some contractions but nothing to get me excited, and I woke up early about 6am. I tell you at 9am my contractions were coming every 5 min and strong. Got the cervidil out at 9:30 and epidural by 10am. By then I was dilated 4cm.
Avatar f tn OK so my husband and I are having another beautiful baby girl. I named my first daughter Sophia and I love it. But my dilemma is that my husband won't settle on a name for this little girl. I want to stick with the Greek tradition of names.Every time we sit down to look at anything he says he doesn't like most of the ones I do or he is not interested enough. My husband is Greek so I want her name to match. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks ladies and good luck to you all!
Avatar f tn I feel sad for her because it looks like one eye is blue and the other brown. The doctor said they could try to fix it but he felt the damage is permanant.Amother suggestion he had was to put a contact in to make her eye look more normal. My mother is too old(she says to mess with contacts)She is 77 so I can understand her, but do you have ay other cases like this. Please advice. Thank you.
1638091 tn?1300391180 I'm currently 16 and have fairly poor eyesight. I've been considering Lasik but definitely for years down the road. I also have central heterochromia and I love it. Although I don't think anything could happen, I was wondering if Lasik has the possibility of hampering with my heterochromia. Any thoughts?
Avatar f tn One thing my grandmother had asked was when she left this earth, she wanted me to play the piano and sing a hymn at her service. Dear God give me strength. I did write this poem, thinking that when something happens Imight could read it, but I am not sure if it is good enough. It surely captures her..... For Grannie: You are part of all I am and part of all I’ll be You are part of my every thought and precious memory.
Avatar f tn Iris color can be affected by trauma, if there was bleeding in the eye (hyphema) it can make the eye darker and also stain the cornea, or trauma can cause the pigment in the iris to fall out making it lighter in color.
1925822 tn?1333705617 Iris, rest up and do not let this flare up last more than it should....it is hard when we have a good day, then wham we get hit the next few days...most times it is bcuz we tend to over do it when we do feel good.... Rest up and remember moderation and also keep in mind the weather patterns at this time of yr can affect how u feel, so do watch the weather reports when planning ur outings.

Avatar f tn Seuss books, and some music (Mozart, some Piano music, and a few select songs from my favorite artists talking about love. Creed - Arms Wide Open, P!nk - Perfect, I Hope You Dance, can't think of her name now, etc...) i wanna play for it, and the father isn't in the picture (his choice) but i want the baby to know my dads voice. I'm so excited for this!!!
565060 tn?1216416169 I have really dark brown eyes. In one of my eyes, there are three little white spots in the iris. I've searched online to see if this could be an eye condition that I would need to be concerned about and I couldn't find anything! I'll be very grateful for any information you can give me. My vision is pretty bad and it gets worse every year. I also have a picture for you to look at. You'll see that one section of my iris is a bit brighter than the rest of the iris.
