Baby seems to sleep almost 24 hours per day at age 24 days. Eyes not open at birth and continue to be closed except for a few minutes per day. Cannot rouse baby by patting face, tickling feet, speaking in loud voice, etc. Does this indicate any particular problem?

The husband of missing Utah mother Susan Powell said in his first interview in almost a year that he believes reduced public and family scrutiny of her will lead her to return.
30 AM, it hurts and I have to try to get into a comfortable spot in bed. After I get up, move around, and eat, I'm fine. No weight loss, yellow eyes, blood in stool or anything. Sometimes, though, I may feel a fullness in that area (doesn't hurt). My GI dr. dismissed me - doesn't believe it is intestinal (I suggested an endoscope, since I have a colonoscopy coming up). My primary suggested a CT, but I don't want to jump into another one of those (more radiation).
I was diagnosed with thickened vocal chords in 2010 after spinal fusion surgery. The surgery lasted 12 hrs and anesthesia was Propofol. That seemed to be the start of almost everything. I have always had dry mouth. I am now in the progress of getting veneers and bridges since my teeth became so damaged. I have dry eyes, dry skin, joint pain, back pain and continuously have MRSA. My family doctor died a couple of years ago.
I was just diagnosed at 47 years old with Dry AMD in both eyes. The Retina Specialist I saw was of no help and told me, "don't worry you won't go blind", take PreserVision, and come back in 6 months. After my visit I asked for my records and found out on my own that I also have possible CNV in the right eye, cataracts in both eyes, confluent soft drusen, and RPE changes. The doctor also stated in my file that he discussed the use of the Amsler grid with me but he never did.
It shouldn't affect the baby at all in the womb, and your doctor will talk about delivery options if you are still infected at birth. The biggest risk of chlamydia is that it can infect something in the baby's eyes and blind it. BUT most hospitals routinely treat newborn babies eyes just in case so it should be fine. You should still be able to deliver vaginally.
My vocal chords are basically destroyed by acid reflux, so have great empathy. Stomach acid is very strong, it can and did not only wreck my vocal chords but in a very short period of time, ate away the enamel on my teeth. My situation that caused the problem was extreme and fixed with surgical procedures, but I croak when I talk.
If you take PPI's, I'd suggest you take them exactly like your doctor prescribes, which is usually 1/2 to 1 hour prior to a major meal.
I had my vocal chords damaged during intubation (2.5 hr. surgery). They kept telling me wait, it might be GERD, try this and that. Well, almost 2 years of suffering with a voice that sometimes was there and sometimes wasn't. It was very hoarse and I had trouble being heard. Next week I undergo "Direct Laryngoscopy" to remove vocal chord lesions. I have been told that I should have a 50% improvement in my voice and the lesions can come back.

Keep an eye on baby and if you notice any unsoithabls crying, drowsiness. Not being able to rouse him from naps ect. You know your baby and you know when something isn't right.
It's difficult to say exactly what's going on without examining you, but if your problem doesn't get better gradually, see your surgeon. There are a number of unusual situations where you can have issues after a trach tube is taken out.
they scrapped infection off of optic nerves causing total blindness in both eyes in 2002, total blindness was for three years, then i started seeing shadows and shapes, now i'm visually impaired. so now the question is how to replenish the optic nerve because i have chronic pain all the time. is there any treatments available???? please respond to ***@****.
I am 14 years old, and I was adopted when I was 4. I sometimes do think about killing myself. I'm a Christian girl and I don't understand why life is so complicated. My mom is trying to figure out how to make me happy but there are so many things I want to tell her but I can't. I just don't want to get hurt. I keep trying to tell her that I am so mean to other people because when I get close to someone they always die. OR they bully me and hurt me.
