Avatar n tn In my opinion, this is probably one of the worst side effects of SSRIs. After a taper off of these medications with the doctor's approval, you will see a marked improvement as the dosage goes down, in my experience. Sorry to be so ambiguous, but these medications effect people in different ways, but it does get much better:)....keep us posted!
Avatar f tn I looked online and found out that Tramadol ( a generic for Ultram 50) will help it and it has no side effects. I told my doctor and he prescribed it for me and it works wonders! I take it about 2-3 hours before I go to bed. I have restless leg real bad. I used to control it with a glass ofmilk and a banana every night but it progressed beyond that. Try it!
Avatar m tn you can discuss with your doctor about starting only half the starting dose initially to give you some assurance of its side effects. paxil can be sedating so most people take it at night. the top 3 side effects are headahces, nausea and sexual dysfunction. all of these resolve over time as the body becomes accustomed to the new medication.
Avatar m tn I already know how the medicine is suppose to work, what I wanted to know is how safe it is to take long term,or at all.I read all the side effects and I am not sure I want to try it.It scares me,one of the side effects is to your heart, and I read on line of people dying from it.Need more info.
Avatar f tn So right now I am currently taking ziprasidone 80 mg, chantix 1mg, topamax 50mg 3x day, and ropinirole for side effects 1 mg once a day. I can't believe I actually made it through the night last night. I had some psychosis and was up all night long, but laying and I had the shakes at first but I'm actually proud I made it through the night without popping that pill. Took my medicine this morning and slept for about 5 hours and no psychosis, hallucinations or anything.
Avatar m tn I am having some severe side effects concerning short term memory loss, irritability, and fatigue. I have taken Ibuprofen 800mg, nortriptyline HCL 25mg, promethazine 25mg, acetaminophen COD#3, cycmbalta 30mg, pamelor 25mg, cyclobenzarrine 10mg, hydrocodone 500mg, methycprednisolone 4mg, tramadol HCL 50 mg, and viagra 100mg. My question is will any of the medications i was subscribed or taken in combination have symptons of severe memory loss?
Avatar f tn Can you tell me about its side effects? Recently I went for a checkup and my doctor gave me Metformin for weight loss (It suddently went up to 99 kg though I was at 85 before and was following a strict diet plan). I don't have diabetes and I haven't been diagnosed with PCOS, and I think Metformin is generally used for these two issues. So I'm concened whether I should really be Metformin. Can it mess up my insulin system?
Avatar m tn I was on PPIs for 3 months and was taking 20 mg 2x a day, it gave me a whole bunch of side effects , the worst being severe stomach pain. I always felt like I didnt need to be on them. I find that people with high HCL tend to be bigger/fatter, Im thin. The only problem now is,... where and how can I convince my doctor to let me get this Heidelberg pH diagnostic test done. My doctor(s) kinda haev big egos and always reject my ideas and requests for testing.

Avatar m tn lots of psyc drugs cause nasty side effects and nasty withdrawls. Ive been on zoloft for five years and have liked it because for me it had no side effects. these meds react with people differently. I have GAD and am getting off zoloft bc I need something stronger but it helped with low- moderate anxiety and my depression.
1004161 tn?1252481849 I'm a 56 year old female and I've had RLS off and on for years. I have even had it while sitting in chairs, and a few times in the car on a long trip. That's the worst because you can't stretch your legs in the car. I have to pull over to walk around. The only time I've never had it is while walking. There,s nothing I can recall that has precipitated it. I have poor circulation in my legs, many varicose veins and a family history of circulation problems in the legs.
Avatar m tn I have been taken Ropinirole for sometime now and it helps a little. As for sleep,I get very little of.
Avatar f tn t take it I will most likely lose my kidneys. I refused because the antibiotics have serious side effects for long term use and there is more than just me to think about. I am not comfortable risking the baby...
Avatar m tn You missed the most important measure. The heart rate. A blood pressure measurement without a heartrate is meaningless. A drop to 58/47 is unacceptable. There are also "missing pieces" in the reasons why the various meds are prescribed. I think Gabapentin is a medication with many side effects that is overprescribed, but that's an opinion of one. I can see no reason for prescribing Gabapenton for numb hands.
225237 tn?1333138999 m really nervous about taking it due to side effects an lactic acidosis.....can any one please helpe!!! I would really appreciate this. I do have high blood pressure an take lisinopril but other than that I think I'm healthy. I have had one incident where my liver enzymes were elevated but they checked for hepatitis an it came back negative. I just want to make sure it's safe for me to take this an maybe let me know what I could experience!!!
Avatar f tn The sex drive is good to know. Citalopram also gave me that side effect. I am glad the Wellbutrin did not make you gain weight. I wonder how long until it is out of my system. The doctor said if i quit cold turkey on Citalopram, it can cause bad side effects. That's why I am taking half a pill of it. I know you are not a doctor, or maybe you are, but how long until you think the Citalopram is out of my system? Thanks!
Avatar n tn What are the effects of taking vitamins b, c d with Protonix?
7126533 tn?1388405470 My RLS started over 20 years ago and has been really bad for about 15 years. Ropinirole, once I was put on it in 2007, was a Godsend and just about covers it as long as I don't miss a dose (currently 4 x daily starting at 10am) My consultant has now suggested trying Slow Mag (Slow release magnesium) in hopes that I can reduce the number of Ropinirole I have to take to be able to function normally.
