Avatar f tn s important to notify your doc about it - depending on how high your fever is, they may ask you to remove the patch tmeporarily - for the same reason as avoiding other heat sources - too much medication can be released. When I was using the patch (I had to stop it due to negative side effects), one time I had a fever of 103.6 from strep throat and my doc had me remove the patch until my fever was below 100 (and use my BT meds during that time).
230948 tn?1235844329 I realized these were all side effects of this patch. The side effects of the patch so adversely effected my life I decided to take it off one night. I went through a detox like you'd never imagine. I had hallucinations, vomitting etc. I had no idea what I had done. I put the patch back on, and weened myself off of it over the next two weeks. I just couldn't live that way. I know how much it helps and would never tell anyone not to use. I may need it in the future.
Avatar f tn Ive had 4 epidurals and just like anything there are potential side effects which is why they make you sign the form prior. But my first was 14 years ago and I've never had a single side effect.
909257 tn?1242668182 Pain medications have numerous side effects and those who do take pain meds on a regular basis do usually have some kind of depression due to the fact that they do have chronic pain but as far as the meds causing depression or bipolar no I do not believe so.
899491 tn?1243773627 I know Abilify like all antipsychotics can cause anti-cholinergic side effects (although less so then other antipsychotics) which include dry mouth and urinary retention. Sometimes some of the side effect pills used to treat the motor restlessness from it such as the anti-cholinergics (Cogentin, Artane, etc.) can make that worse. That might be one cause but generally its not so severe. Your psychiatrist should be able to explain what happened though.
Avatar f tn Seen an ade on T V commerical about lawsuits because of side effects of patch birth control---ade went too fast to read need to know
Avatar m tn My wife seems to be experiencing some severe headaches as a result from the lp procedure which was admin 40 hours ago, her head hurt to begin with 8/10 then 10/10 (pain scale) immediately afterwards when we were attempting to leave the er, resulting in her being admitted. Tomorrow she's scheduled for a patch to help in case there's a leak but I'm thinking she should give it at least a week or two??
Avatar f tn I took 25 mg 3 days in a row. I decided not to take it anymore. I am hoping that the side effects will go away very quickly. I have a 5-year old and a 6-week old and can't afford to spend a couple of weeks feeling like this.My doctor prescribed some Xanax to "take the edge off" which does help. My main question is: How quickly will the side effects go away after me taking it only 3 days?
631676 tn?1333718203 I never had side effects from follistim, but when I took clomid I felt a bit emotional and sometimes I'd get a hot flash.
Avatar f tn I have tried to explain to you the side effects in your last 2 posts. They will go away. If you are that worried about the patch then maybe the patch isn't for you.....The more you over-react the worse you will make yourself feel. The patch your on is a VERY low dose. ...............You may feel a tiny bit nauseated but NOTHING to worry about.
Avatar f tn t put up with terrible side effects for very long. I did that when I tried a new medication in January and I had extreme side effects. They weren't just annoying; they were scary. But every time I called the NP, she'd tell me it can take up to two weeks to metabolize in your body. On day 11 I finally told her I couldn't take it for another minute. She gave me another medication but it still took about a week for all the side effects to subside.
Avatar f tn For all those out there who have had post lumbar puncture headaches and other symptoms and side effects that comes with it, have your headaches ever gone past 3 months and have they completely gone away? Same with the nausea and tinnitus...those who have experienced these symptoms beyond 3 months, have they ever gone away for you? I'm just afraid that all these symptoms are here to stay and I can't imagine living the rest of my life with them!
767538 tn?1276575320 Just in case you didn't notice (I miss it all the time,) this post is really old. If you have questions about the patch, you may do better to post your own question on it. I will say I have not had any side effects from the patch but I didn't have the same side effects to the other meds you did. (I did have that itching from Vicodin and was told to never take it again. Morphine also didn't work for me due to side effects other than itching.
767538 tn?1276575320 The effects did last 72 hours for me. Expect some side effects until your system adjust to the medication. I only took it for a few months. I developed a horrible allergy to the adhesive. Others will post with more information. Good luck. I hope it works well for you. Please let us know.
120574 tn?1240767840 Can anyone tell me what type of side effects you had with Avastin. Did you take it alone, or with a chemo drug?
Avatar n tn Welcome back to the forum. I have no personal experience with sinechatechins (Veregen); we don't use it in my STD clinic. The reports in the medical literature indicate it works no faster and no better (and no worse) than other genital wart treatments. All available wart treatments work well about two thirds of the time and none is significantly better than any others. If one treatment doesn't promptly clear up the warts, we switch to another.
Avatar m tn Since then we found out that Risperidone is know for side effects such as tardive dyskinesia. We are seriously concerned now. Will this be permanent ? What is the best way to examine this problem ? Thanks for any suggestions !
Avatar f tn Hm, so you are diagnosed as PCOS or they just started the metformin for the reason of the adrenal gland issue? I'm trying to understand. LOL I know things that affect any part of our hormonal system will result in some mood changes. Are you taking the metformin as they intended? Have they also considered clomid? You've been working with a fertility doctor--- and done all the testing and this is the only issue they see with regards to getting pregnant?
Avatar f tn Anyone else on Emsam? I started it about a month ago. No side effects but I am not sure that it is doing anything for me. It is an MAOI transdermal patch. It requires a restrictive diet or you can go into a hypertensive crisis.
Avatar f tn I am on a patch too - I am not sure of your brand, but mine is bio-identical and just that it bypasses the liver means less side effects. The side effects are typically caused by too much or too little of the hormone. Have you consulted an endocrinologist to see how your hormones are as you may need a thyroid increase or other medication and you then may not need depression and anxiety medications.
585414 tn?1288941302 Except for the delivery device its honestly not that different from other mood stabilizers in good effects and side effects although clearly for no one would it be used as a first line choice but then again its never been suggested as one. The world and people and their effect on me seem a bit toned down so that certainly must be one sign its working.
