630166 tn?1222287376 I had Lasik sugery about 4 years ago and had dry eye for a couple of years, but then that improved with the help of using Restasis. About a week ago I woke up with redness and mat in my left eye. My first thought was I had the pink eye. I went to my doctor and he gave me Tobramycin Ophthalmic Solution. That didn't help, so then he gave me Sulfacetamide Sodium Ophthalmic Solution.
Avatar f tn ACUVAIL™ (ketorolac tromethamine ophthalmic solution) 0.45% is a member of the pyrrolo-pyrrole group of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) for ophthalmic use.
Avatar f tn On my patients I use tear duct plugs only AFTER a 4-6 month trial of ReStasis. ReStasis is a revolutionary eyedrop that has changed the treatment of dry eyes world wide for the better. In the USA it is the second most widely prescribed medication. My wife and many of our friends are on restasis. Also recent studies indicate that 2 or 3 Omega 3 (enteric coated fish oil) greatlyhelp dry eyes. Takes 3-4 months to kick in.

Avatar m tn Im a 23yr old male. I have been seeing halos around lights for about a month now. They started in my right eye a couple of days after a bad case of viral conjuntivitis (pink eye). I went to see an ophtalmologist who told me I had "scars" in my retina and put me on RESTASIS® (cyclosporine ophthalmic emulsion) 0.05% and Flarex for two weeks. After a couple of days using the drops the halos disapeared, but they came back about 2 days after I stopped using the drops.
Avatar f tn Before doing anything that is permanent, have you considered using Restasis for your dry eyes? I had no luck at first with Restasis, but it turned out I had not used it long eneough. Now, after using it for 2 months, I am noticing a dramatic improvement. I now do not need any eye drops or eye ointments. My bottom ducts are plugged.
1533563 tn?1292285307 This questions is answered by me on the other forum. Pred forte would not cause this. You may need restasis. You need to be sure that your glasses RX is right especially that the reading segment is strong enough. When you read put drops like BLINK artifical tears in before you read, each 10 minutes look up from your reading, focus on something very far away like down the hall or out a window and make 5-6 very hard, strong blinks.

Avatar m tn I'm going to trust my doctor's judgment and work with Restasis for a few months- the challenge is that my vision is not good and I don't want to rely on Restasis as my only solution. I've been taking omega-3s and have pushed the tears pretty heavy (using Optive) in the hope that the cornea will heal as soon as it can. Otherwise, things are gonna be a bit rough for the next little while until this all gets figured out. I go back to see him Monday.

Avatar f tn So, chronic rebound redness is something permanent right? I have told everyone about it and many doctors get mad. but i didnt know at that time. i thougt i was doing the right thing because it is over the counter plus it said calm dry and tired eyes. so i thought i was helping me not destroying me. i live in Europe and we dont have doctors like u. i find it amazing that you even take the time to help on this site.

Avatar n tn t wear them when my eyes get like this) I went to a doctor (the last time my eyes got all red) and he gave me (Polymyxin B Stilfate and Trimethoprin Ophthalmic solution USP) drops.. they made my eyes look like someone poured blood in them. So I stopped using it. All I am doing now is wearing my glasses. my right eye feels like someone punched it. What is wrong? I can say that I have also been feeling a lot more anxious lately, hot flashes and my urine is neon yellow...
Avatar f tn I just got back from my optomologist & he prescribed for me Restasis. He mentioned that once you're on Restasis, it's an on going thing it's not really temporary. Is that the case, do I have to stay on it. I was hoping that once my eye is feeling better, I could just use artificial tears to keep my eyes from drying so badly. He also changed my contact lenses to Acuvue Oasys. Any advice or info would be great.............................
Avatar n tn My ophthalmologist recently prescribed restasis for dry eyes. I read that cyclosporin can causes cancer. Is this true? Are these drops safe?

4319578 tn?1352739861 But not getting the best result. What could be the best for allergic solution or should I take any NSAID for permanent solution? And what is the solution for very high eye dryness?
Avatar f tn I'm on restasis, my wife is on restasis, I use restasis in my practice. the medicine does not cause floaters. Floaters can occur at any time. If they start and you are doing something else like mowing the yard, reading a book or starting restasis the relationship is COINCIDENTAL. On the other hand if you are hit in the eye with a fist and note floaters the relationship is CAUSATIVE.
