Restasis blurred vision

Common Questions and Answers about Restasis blurred vision

restasis

Avatar f tn I am having the same issue since starting Restasis about 2 months ago. The first month my vision seemed to be fine, but around week 6, my left eye has become very blurry at all times. Even my up close vision, which I've never had issues with has become blurry, and fuzzy. Also, everything in my left eye looks very dim, almost a shade of blue. I went to an eye specialist last week about this, and he told me that there were no signs of anything wrong.
Avatar m tn 9 weeks ago after the birth of my second daughter, I started having some discomfort from dryness in my eyes, and then one day after a panic attack (my wife had complications post delivery and we had to rush her to ER), my vision went blurred and it has not returned to normal since then. I will say it has improved from where it was that first week, but seems to be stuck at about 90% of normal.
Avatar m tn s impossible for anyone here to tell what is actually causing your blurred vision. As Dr. Oyakawa says, you may need an additional LASIK enhancement. If it's dry eye, some dry eye symptoms are chronic, and some lessen or go away over time. I would strongly encourage you to get a referral from your optician to an ophthalmologist.
630166 tn?1222287376 I had Lasik sugery about 4 years ago and had dry eye for a couple of years, but then that improved with the help of using Restasis. About a week ago I woke up with redness and mat in my left eye. My first thought was I had the pink eye. I went to my doctor and he gave me Tobramycin Ophthalmic Solution. That didn't help, so then he gave me Sulfacetamide Sodium Ophthalmic Solution.
Avatar m tn When I went to my eye doctor today, she said my eye was still dry and to keep on using Restasis for another month. I have been on Restasis a month now. If my vision doesn't improve, she is going to do lasik on the posterior capsular membrane. At that time my cataract surgery will be around 90 days old. Is it unusual to have that type of lasik so soon after the cataract sugery and will this improve my vision? My vision is much clearer in my right eye with my contact lens.
Avatar f tn HAD THE BLURRED VISION AND EYE DRAINAGE STILL GOT IT GOING ON,BUT NOW IT IS TIME FOR MY EYE CHECK UP,DO YOU THINK I SHOULD PUT OFF TILL THIS STOPS WHENEVER THAT MAY BE DOES ANYBODY KNOW? OR SHOULD I EXPLAIN TO THE OPT. SEE WHAT HE SAYS? I REALLY DONT WANT TO COME OUT LOOKIN LIKE MR.MAGOO HAHA!
Avatar n tn My distant vision started looking blurred out of my right eye.I went to my retina specialist whom had laser a retinal tear 18 months earlier. He said all looked fine, after a lot of test and pictures. The only thing he said was I had a few small hard drusens in that eye which had not change in 4 years, he did not think they were the problem.,He sent me to the doctor who did my glasses to check my prescription, he said it was right.
429949 tn?1224691579 t want to ever have blured vision again! Did the Restasis cause blured vision with you? If so was it temporary and how long did it last after you put the drops in?
Avatar f tn My eyes also seem to strain very quickly (working all day or driving several hours). I have blurred vision all the time, reading and close work is out of the question, must use a magnifier which does not stop blurring, just allows me to get the job done. Everything I read said that is was not a painful surgery, my right eye was and still is very painful. Check up reports say everything is o.k.
Avatar f tn They both did a vision test and it shows 20/25 and 20/30 so neither one will prescribe correction lenses bc they said I see better with the naked eye than I do with a prescription. How can that be??? I have since gone to my optometrist with my frustrations because I couldn't believe that an opthamologist would not give me a prescription. My optometrist friend too said I could see better with my naked eye than I could with the lenses he switched back and forth.
Avatar n tn My 9 year old son, who has been diagnosed with pediatric MS, has blurred vision for over 48 hours. A couple of times his eyesight returned back to normal but then it got blurry again. The MS specialized opthamologist said that he did not see any inflammation. We did an MRI and it also came back clear. What else could be going on?
Avatar f tn I would wake up in the middle of the night with blurred vision, scratchy, hard to focus, and sensitivity to light. I also wake up in the morning with this. I have been putting perservative free eye drops in my eyes but it doesn't seem to be helping. I was told that taking fish oil & flasx seed supplements helps with dry eye. Is this true? If so how many milligrams should I take and how many a day? Thank you.
493068 tn?1224765315 I just went to my eye doctor and have a corneal scratch and this has been happening very often. My vision is so blurred in this eye and both my eyes hurt all the time Could something more be causing this? I am not scratching my eye or had any injuries. I apprciate any feedback.
Avatar n tn One year later (now) my eye still red, in pain and my vision in that eye is better some days and others not. I had been trying everything, antibiotics, eye drops...I went last week to another eye doctor and this one put a paper on my left eye and she mention that I have very little tears and she thinks that all this is dry eye. Can dry eye give you pain in your eyebrows, burning sensation and 24/7 bloody eye?
Avatar m tn While I can work on the comuter and at times, can read without glasses, I always seem to have a light sensitivity. Coupled with that I have blurred vision for intermediate and distance, so much so that reading traffic signs is extremely difficult.Whenever I venture out in the daylight, I must wear sunglasses because of the brightness. At night, I get a lot of glare from headlights & streetlights. My intermediate and distance vision were great before the surgery.
Avatar n tn I have this condition that occurs occasionally where my vision shifts very quickly for a brief moment. The best way I can describe it is like this; it is as if my eyes are moving a mile a minute, side to side , but only for a split second. It happens mostly when I am looking down. I have seen 3 doctors about it (including a neuro opthamologist) and no one has any idea what it is. Anyone ever heard of this?
Avatar m tn I'm going to trust my doctor's judgment and work with Restasis for a few months- the challenge is that my vision is not good and I don't want to rely on Restasis as my only solution. I've been taking omega-3s and have pushed the tears pretty heavy (using Optive) in the hope that the cornea will heal as soon as it can. Otherwise, things are gonna be a bit rough for the next little while until this all gets figured out. I go back to see him Monday.
Avatar m tn Can I put temporary plug and try Restasis at the same time as Restasis takes quite a long time to kick in.
Avatar n tn I was sure that the ReStor lens, which I had implanted 4 weeks ago, was causing my problems with what I called waxy vision, but which my doctor calls fluctuating vision. After seeing him today, I have a better understanding of what is going on. Vision is good in the morning and gets worse later in the day. I'm not diabetic. The last three visits to my doctor have been at 4pm, 7:30 am, and today at 1pm. At each visit he was able to get my vision to 20/20 with a different prescription.
Avatar m tn 8 to 10 years ago had LASIK...slowly vision has diminished, but can still drive without glasses - but prefer to wear them. 3 months ago, developed conjunctivitis. Treated...right eye remained red most of the time..saw eye doctor...who saw no problem. Using eye drops for dry eyes. Over the past 2 weeks, eyes so dry, they wake me up, burning, very blurry vision...put in drops once or twice per night and throughout the day. Last week, noted vision much more diminished bilaterally.
Avatar f tn i had cataract sursery 9 months ago, have been noticing poorer vision, was diagnosed with 'dry eyes'. Have been using Restasis for two weeks now, eyes seem irritated, are red, I need to blink a lot. Is this normal? Will this go away if I have to use this product for the rest of my life? How is this helping me?
Avatar f tn If your vision improves with blinking or instilling artificial tears the variable vision may be due to drying of the cornea. Step up the artificial tears. Read the postings here about dry eyes. Both my wife and I are on restasis and it has done miracles (after about 6 months) on our dry eyes. 3. You don't want to do the fellow eye till your right eye is stable and you are "happy". You will soon need an end point refraction and glasses prescription for the RE.
939968 tn?1294948736 I am on week 42 of treatment and recently saw eye dr because I couldn't see either. He said it was because of my dry eyes and to use over the counter Systane ointment at night, goggles that hold your eyes shut because eyes are partially open during sleep, Systane Ultra several times during day. He also prescibed Lotemax for 2 weeks to help the inflammation caused by dry eyes, This has improved my vision tremendously.
Avatar n tn I had cataracts removed and restor lenses implanted over a year ago. I have suffered from blurry vision ever since. When I sit in the ophthalmologist's chair, I check out 20.25 in each eye. I've had plugs inserted and removed to increase tear production. I religiously use Restatsis night and morning. I use eye drops throughout the day. I have made countless visits to the Dr. and he keeps telling me to be patient and try different drops, etc.
Avatar m tn light and contrast sensitivity, at sundown vision is a little darker, vision is blurred and distorted at all distances more so at distance. A crystalens clinical instructor in the midwest has mentioned that the slightest start of debris on over sensitive patients can raise havick. With the above comment, would a YAG laser treatment be to my advantage.
