Provigil with wellbutrin

Common Questions and Answers about Provigil with wellbutrin

provigil

Avatar f tn s to be taken at the same time. I kind of remember something on the Wellbutrin label that says it should not be mixed with anything else (not referring to the treatment meds here). I tried Wellbutrin as an AD but could not take it as it made me completely unable to sleep (only got about 2 hrs. per night). Took it for about 12 days before I was told to quit it and it never got better as to insomnia. SLEEP is extremely important while you are on chemo.
429700 tn?1308007823 I was wondering--have any of you been diagnosed with attention deficit disorder (ADD)? I was quite surprised when my neuro diagnosed me with this last week. I think it's related to my MS, but not sure (dummy me didn't think to ask). He told me that Provigil actually helps with this problem and raised my dosage a bit. The cognitive stuff has improved greatly since taking Provigil, but if it would go away completely, I don't think I'd mind one bit!
Avatar f tn so whats the deal with this drug? all the side affects listed are the same as with phentermine, is it a speed or like a wellbutrin? have you ever taken it?
1511858 tn?1290477459 My muscles tremor when over exherted and I need Provigil to get out of the bed and drive and function without fear of falling asleep ...I've been taking provigil with great success however, I am having a hard time with insurance filling it with new Medicare ins. restrictions and pre auth's required etc.
1401877 tn?1288107639 Your cardiologist is probably the best person to ask about this. Given the "I am not a doctor nor a pharmacist" spiel, my best *guess* would be that the Vyvanse would be the most likely of your meds to conflict with POTS.
1203197 tn?1265555829 things arebecoming desperate and I am afraid I am about to lose my job because of my lack of ability to function. What do I need to do to fix this? can I take provigil in the daytime to help me with energy, focus, and my appetite? please help, i am so very afraid.
1807991 tn?1438779770 Most antidepressants prescribed these days are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors but there are some atypicals like Wellbutrin that could be appropriate for fatigue. I have experience with both Wellbutrin and Provigil but our neurologies in response to these drugs vary among individual......... For energy per se you would need either caffeine, Wellbutrin, amphetamine, or Provigal: these are all indicated for such and other suggestions are anecdotal.
Avatar f tn Adding Wellbutrin which has norepinephrine and dopamine reuptake inhibitors would help you in two ways, one with pain and two with energy from dopamine. Taking the regular and not the XR form would allow you to sleep easier at night as the drug tapers down.
1142551 tn?1264736930 Provigil is more expensive and I actually had more side effects with Provigil. Nuvigil is the 2nd generation of Provigil and the manufacturer has lowered the price to get everyone "switched" before the patent on Provigil expires in 2011. For me, the difference between Nuvigil and Provigil was amazing. Nuvigil gave me back my life. Provigil let me leave the house but I had trouble functioning. And since Provigil is "going away" it is tough to even get samples.
Avatar m tn i'm posting a question asking for your medical advice as i've suffered from long term depression since i was 18 as i'm now 38 going through various medication regimes throughout that time. I've previously been on mostly SSRI's ie prozac and seroxat, with in addition dosuphin and amtitrypline. Prozac and seroxat worked well with me for some time until they "pooped out" on me.
Avatar f tn I haven't checked this site in a few weeks. Sorry. My old doctor gave me Wellbutrin and that's the furthest he would go with anything resembling a stimulant. It didnt help that much, but he helped me therapeutically. Now I don't have any security seeing this new doctor and I want my old one back, but he had told me he wanted to take me, but he is too busy. My new doctor is now saying she and the attending physician never got the help I needed and plan to fool around with my meds.
2164295 tn?1337019528 Hello, I am looking for alternative treatments, natural remedies, and various exercise suggestions to help me increase wakefulness. I was diagnosed with Narcolepsy in November 2010, but I had been experiencing symptoms since I was around 10 to 11 years old. I am currently taking Vyvanse 70mg in the morning, 10mg of Adderall (short acting) in the evening, and trying to implement a daily nap schedule. Over the last year the cataplexy I experience has increased and my muscle tone has decreased.
Avatar m tn Lexapro, Zoloft, Wellbutrin, Effexor, Cymbalta, EMSAM, Savella, Strattera, Abilify, Prozac, Pristiq, Provigil, Neurontin I'm now on: Vyvanse, Buspar, Aplenzin. I've also suffered from sinus problems during all of this. I've had sinus surgery but I still wake up congested, and have a loss of smell.

619930 tn?1260374254 You are in a trial correct? Somewhere around week 40 now? Does your trial not permit rescue drugs like Procrit? I know different trials have different guidelines. Hgb is low and if Procrit is not permitted why hasn't your doctor reduced your Riba? At this point a reduction in riba will not be as critical if it were to occur early on in treatment. I have two unopened boxes of Provigil sitting on my dresser since Oct 08. After reading possible side effects I opted not to take it.
5509293 tn?1428531475 Has anyone using provigil in 200mg doses had problems with either elevated blood pressure or blood pressure spikes?
1394098 tn?1385960134 So now my Dr is thinking of prescribing Provigil. Has anyone tried this drug. If so does it work well for fatigue. I read that it helps with focus but I haven't read anything about it helping with tiredness.
233622 tn?1279334905 I'm taking Provigil and have high blood pressure. I also take a beta blocker, Propanolol. I think the too interact with each other. I tried to take the full dose, but never was able to. It must strengthen the Provigil or something, because I just don't feel right on the full dosage (I've even tried it recently after being on it for 6 months and couldn't do it). However, on the half dose, I love it! I'm more alert and less fatigued. My blood pressure is about the same.
Avatar f tn I dont know if this is accurate or not, but I thought it should be shared. I just read this in the "Health" Section of Foxnews.com I have heard a lot of really good things about Provigil, although I've never used it. It was recommended to me many times though. Just some food for thought. Seems EVERYTHING comes with its own set of dangers attached.
Avatar m tn it's not like a party drug. that's why they've come out with the nuvigil. it doesn't have exactly the same properties as provigil. dr didn't go into details. it's safe to give to the elderly and it doesn't feel like you drank a pot of coffee.
Avatar f tn You need to get yourself to a different neurologist. It sounds to me like that this neurologist has done absolutely nothing to get to the bottom of what's causing the odd sensations, fatigue, and myoclonus jerks. It may be hard to get the Provigil without any type of diagnosis, but it really depends on your insurance company. I was diagnosed with a demyelinating disease prior to the MS diagnosis, and it was difficult getting the Provigil.
Avatar n tn Hi, hyperkinesias and agitation are associated with provigil but incidence is around 1% only. Dechallenge or removal of drug followed by normal behavior is the only way to find out relation between drug and symptom. For information visit http://www.rxlist.com/cgi/generic/modafinil_ad.
518001 tn?1212419235 s really great how I just have SO much more energy now. Sometimes the tank still runs low - but I am better by far with the Provigil. I am fortunate as well that my insurance covers it. I've seen Ads all over the internet - in fact at this very site - for a 7 Day Free Trial. You could ask your dr. to write a script and give it a try.
