provigil

5509293 tn?1428531475 Has anyone using provigil in 200mg doses had problems with either elevated blood pressure or blood pressure spikes?
Avatar n tn I still feel pressure in my temples and forhead even though I have stopped taking Provigil. Can you have withdraws from Provigil?
Avatar m tn A decent GP would be the place to start ..... provigil is actually indicated for treatment of CFS .......... Its an expensive drug at 10.00 a pill prescription.....lots of insurance companies dont wish to cover it for that reason...... but it is being widely used now - - it will most likely be rescheduled before long because it has more of the shortcomings that straight amphetamines have than was thought during trials........
429700 tn?1308007823 After all this time, three years at least, my insurance company is no longer approving me for Provigil. This drug is the one thing that I've taken that has made a huge impact on the quality of my life. Without it, I'm unable to think clearly and I'm too fatigued to get up out of bed or off the couch. I may have to retire on disability because there's no way I will be able to teach. The drug also helps with the ADD (diagnosed after the MS as an adult, LOL).
398059 tn?1447945633 Provigil will cause problems with sleep if I take it after noon. I have no problems with it keeping me awake when I take it in the morning. I'm up now if I've got spasticity or something like that going on or if hubby has the TV on.

Avatar f tn After getting the run around for months, my insurance company has now denied payment for Provigil. They refuse because using Provigil for MS fatigue is an "off the label" use for the medication. Any advice???
871962 tn?1244730028 The one that upsets me the most is not being able to do anything and I have so many other problems to complicate matters. Provigil costs about $500.00 per month. I do not take it anymore because I can't aford it. I fell in the donut hole in March. It would be a good thing if the "Low Income medication help" groups would consider this. Thanks for listening.
1088527 tn?1425313375 I started taking provigil yesterday and wow I cant believe the energy I scrubbed the shower down washed the cabinets down went food shopping then took dog to dog park for 4 hours then home and dinner usually just one of these activities wipes me out . 968560 tn?1307451498 Anybody know if there is any problems taking tramadol and provigil together?
400099 tn?1282954864 m glad your doc is treating the fatigue, but I wonder why the Ritalin instead of the usually more favored Provigil. Have you tried and failed Provigil or something? Yes, people have been helped by Ritalin and it's (better, I think) cousin Adderall for the symptoms of Cog Fog and the ADD it can cause. I'll be interested in hearing how well it works for fatigue. I thank the stars for you finding such a good doctor. They are a treasure!
620048 tn?1358018235 by the way, i do use provigil or else i dont function well at all.

Avatar f tn If your employer has been good so far, that's to their favor (yours too) and they have given you hours. If you need the money but can't work, you aren't left with too many options at this point but to file for disability. It's a pain in the a** to file, it's a humiliatating process, but .... what else are you going to do? It might take a few years, but it might not.
Avatar m tn I am taking nuerotin, Provigil, and copaxone. Last month during a blood test the Dr said my kidneys are working alot harder than they had been 6 months ago. I am currently having weird back pain and not feeling very well. Could the drugs be making my kidneys work to hard? (Along with the gallon of diet coke I drink a day). I searched the net and found some facts on how these drugs affect your kidneys...anyone else had these problems? Thanks.
Avatar f tn Has anyone heard that the insurance companies are starting to approve Provigil for MS? The company must have changed the recommendations for use. I did a prior authorization for a patient today. She needed Provigil for Sleep Apnea. Sleep disorders are what this med has mostly been used for. But this time, where the approved diagnosis' were listed, MS was on the list. It's the first time I have seen this since I have been doing the authorizations.
Avatar n tn I don't think that Provigil would cause these problems. I have never used Baclofen. Maybe it is time to revisit it? I always ask about medicines because if there is a reaction, I usually get it...lol I hope I find you feeling better.
1710955 tn?1309446473 The propanolol increases the Provigil in the blood. I only take 100 mg. of Provigil. I have tried other medicines for fatigue and they don't work for me. I don't have any adverse effect and it actually makes me feel human. Typically, the medicines used for attention deficit disorder or ADHD are used to combat fatigue.
Avatar f tn Anyone on medicare have any experience or enlightenment on provigil financial help? I've been quoted 33% copay (tier 4) by my drug insurance company which is over $300 for me The online sources I've contacted no longer cover provigil since the generic came out and the generic is about the same price... Looking for financial assistance sources if anyone knows of any thanks!
934553 tn?1275274379 Now I have to tell you I have a great Neurologist. She started me on Provigil and neurontin today. Said there is a new drug out there in trials that may be what I need that is showing great promise. She just called it demylenating disease. Anyway I am sill here, still depressed, but hopefull the provigil will help me feel better every day and the neurontin will help me feel better every night.
401095 tn?1351391770 Is anyone familiar with the drug provigil or monafinil for enery and depression...? It is a drug for narcolepsy....wakes me up but not sure about use during tapering tabs...
390916 tn?1204840470 Has anyone tried ProVigil? My sleep specialist suggested that I try it for the deep tiredness that I experience, even after getting great help with sleep from my CPAP machine. By the way, my trip to Seattle went very well. Though it is indeed very hilly, the cooler weather and low humidity made it easier to get around than here is muggy Baltimore. The weather seems to have a huge impact on this disease.
