Anybody know if there is any problems taking tramadol and provigil together?

Can anybody tell about a website that I can trust,where I can buy Provigil(modafinil)for less?.I dont have medical insurance and I cant afford to.pay for it at regular price.I suffer from MS and I have chronic fatigue at all times.please,Anybody know about this.

Unfortunately, you cannot get Provigil/Modafinil or Nuvigil from any reputable Canada pharmacy. I am looking into any costs savings available now since my appeal for coverage was denied by my insurance company. I will post again soon when I have more options to share.

I am currently taking provigil for my fatigue. The pharmacy had to order it so I was out for a few days. During those days I have been headache free. It seems that my headache has come back since I started taking it again. It isn't as bad as a normal one but it is enough to be irritating. I am curious as to whether anyone else has had this issue and if so did it go away after a while. It has really helped the fatigue but I would hate to think that the daily headaches are back.

My neuro suggested maybe trying Ritalin.....he says Provigil is the best, but it is kind of pricey even w/ my insurance.......So is Provigil worth it? ....Has anyone tried Ritalin? Has anyone had any weird s/e w/ either med??? I would be very grateful for any input....

I recommend using only half a tablet for a few days to get your body used to it. This is a mental stimulant and some people feel a little revv'ed up by it at first. Taking the dose up a little slowly has been helpful with that. I recommend taking it as early in the morning as possible. It can have as long as a 15 hour action in you. If I take it after 10 I have Bright Eye well into the next am. Until you see how how it acts in you, do not take it after noon.

Provigil is more expensive and I actually had more side effects with Provigil. Nuvigil is the 2nd generation of Provigil and the manufacturer has lowered the price to get everyone "switched" before the patent on Provigil expires in 2011. For me, the difference between Nuvigil and Provigil was amazing. Nuvigil gave me back my life. Provigil let me leave the house but I had trouble functioning. And since Provigil is "going away" it is tough to even get samples.

The Ritalin is not as good as the Provigil, but it helps a little bit with the fatigue. I am going to see how it works when I start back in two weeks--that's the real test. My doctor wrote me a prescription to get the generic version of Provigil through a Canadian pharmacy. I'm going to try that if I'm too fatigued at work. I was discouraged the day of that post. If could have bitten nails! I will try really hard to hang in there at work before having to retire.

Wow! I took my first 100 mg. of Provigil yesterday. I had to get up really early to make it in to a 8:20 appt. with my PCP, and took my Provigil at 6 am. After my shower, I was feeling pretty good, still dizzy and shaky, but moving fast, ready to go in plenty of time, and took everything I needed to have with me. I got into town in time to go to my apartment, pick up some items I wanted, check in with the forum, and go to my appt. after chatting briefly with a neighbor.

I started taking provigil yesterday and wow I cant believe the energy I scrubbed the shower down washed the cabinets down went food shopping then took dog to dog park for 4 hours then home and dinner usually just one of these activities wipes me out . I am glad that I have energy but I feel jittery my legs feel like they are going hundred miles and hour and I am stuttering badly in the am I think I am trying to talk faster then I can get it out.

Actually, if you can get some Provigil samples from your doctor (from a pharmaceutical rep) - those are the strongest Provigil you can get (usually). Also you might consider trying a different pharmacy provider for your Provigil - theirs might be fresher. I also tried green tea with ginseng which was pretty good at restoring some energy.

So now my Dr is thinking of prescribing Provigil. Has anyone tried this drug. If so does it work well for fatigue. I read that it helps with focus but I haven't read anything about it helping with tiredness.

The propanolol increases the Provigil in the blood. I only take 100 mg. of Provigil. I have tried other medicines for fatigue and they don't work for me. I don't have any adverse effect and it actually makes me feel human. Typically, the medicines used for attention deficit disorder or ADHD are used to combat fatigue.

Also, month ago, I completely lost my appetite (which has never happened before). I went to the hospital, EKG is clear, and the doctor told me to get off the Valium because I was on way too much and it was the cause of all my problems. I am going to follow up with a primary as soon as my insurance is good. But could all these symptoms be a result of the medications I'm taking, I am a little skeptical?

So far Provigil has mostly been beneficial for me . . . it usually gives me the energy and focus I need to get some things (but not all) done. But yesterday and today I just can't seem to focus on anything. It is SO frustrating . . . I think I have the energy to do things . . . but I don't know where to start . . . or I begin something only to be sidetracked to another.

I was in an accident, I currently have a metal plate, screws, & cadaver bone in my neck, operation 4 yrs ago, I have Fibromyalgia, Arthritis, Restless leg syndrome, & depression. I have been on Oxycontin 20 mg 2 x day & Endocet for breakthru pain when needed, Provigil 200 mg 2 x day, Prozac 40 mgs which is on Walmarts 4 dollar plan.

The side effects look a lot worse than those listed for Provigil. I wonder how long the patent on Provigil lasts, and when there will be a generic form? Does anyone else have trouble getting medications that they need or that are really helpful in improving your quality of life? Ess and I discussed on another thread how both our insurances only allow you to get half a month's worth of Ambien. Are we only supposed to sleep every other day?

I still feel pressure in my temples and forhead even though I have stopped taking Provigil. Can you have withdraws from Provigil?

This is my first day on Provigil, taking 200 mg this morning. This is an attempt to replace Adderall 15 to 30 mg per day. Provigil walloped my blood pressure. It dropped by 10 points when I check 12 hours after taking the first dose. I've been lethargic most of today. I finally took an Adderall so I could function.

Is anyone familiar with the drug provigil or monafinil for enery and depression...? It is a drug for narcolepsy....wakes me up but not sure about use during tapering tabs...

Has anyone tried ProVigil? My sleep specialist suggested that I try it for the deep tiredness that I experience, even after getting great help with sleep from my CPAP machine. By the way, my trip to Seattle went very well. Though it is indeed very hilly, the cooler weather and low humidity made it easier to get around than here is muggy Baltimore. The weather seems to have a huge impact on this disease.

Is anyone taking Provigil? Has it helped you? What does it help? Do you have any side effects from it? I'm going to try it, after I get my results back from my next set of MRIs. Does it make the tremors worse? Thank you!
