(. But the dr also gave me vicodin for the pain and it really helps i feel like a walking drug store BUT walking is the key word :). i would recommend the energy pill no jitters outside of the norm I do have a little nausea that comes in goes but somewhat,lol.

I still feel pressure in my temples and forhead even though I have stopped taking Provigil. Can you have withdraws from Provigil?

Hello, my name is Leila. I read your post on Provigil and wanted to talk more with you. I have RA and Fibro with extreme fatigue, brain fog, and of course... pain. My doctor originally said he was going to prescribe Provigil for me but after hearing all of my other symptoms (inability to stay focused and complete tasks...) he decided to start me on Adderall (10 mg 2x/day). This medication makes me feel very jittery and sometimes anxious.

I take Coreg for bp and tachycardia and am also taking Provigil. I get relief from my fatigue on just 100mg a day and have had no problem with the bp. I have noticed some mild tachycardia recently, but I think it may be connected to the recent switch to generic Coreg. I'm curious . . . can tachycardia be caused by MS?

But, there is a strong case for you to stay on it, and not try the others. i.e., vulnerability to adverse reactions and what that can do to you and MS in terms of set backs and exacerbations.

The medications I have used are provigil and adderall, and I don't take them every day, so tracking them would be helpful. (I currently take provigil.) Tracking the degree of sleepiness is also helpful, since I am sleepy almost every day and a yes/no doesn't do much. Others with narcolepsy might benefit from tracking sleep paralysis but fortunately I don't have that problem. That being said, I really like all the trackers here.

A fwhile ago a friend gave me a huge ziplock bag of PROVIGIL 200, and a massive amount of ritalin, 5s,10s, and extended release 20s. I have attempted to research PROVIGIL, ate one and it seems to add to my energy level. I am not looking to trade addictions. (I am feeling withdrawl, cold, night leg shakes, sweat, uncontrollable yawning, and the dreaded running to the restroom) Does anyone know if RITALIN and/or PROVIGIL will ease my lack of motivation and energy untill the WD passes?

I started taking provigil yesterday and wow I cant believe the energy I scrubbed the shower down washed the cabinets down went food shopping then took dog to dog park for 4 hours then home and dinner usually just one of these activities wipes me out . I am glad that I have energy but I feel jittery my legs feel like they are going hundred miles and hour and I am stuttering badly in the am I think I am trying to talk faster then I can get it out.

I am just concerned about treatment now, my fatigue is probably my most bothersome symptom, I have deal with the pain all the time, but the fatigue affects my family, and I have bipolar disorder and am concerned about the drugs they use for the fatigue portion. The neuro wants to give me samples of Provigil, but I am not sure how that will affect my mood. Also, I am concerned about Lyrica, which was another drug he mentioned, but said it could make my fatigue worse.

She also is putting me on Humeri and says that should take care of the sleeping issues and some of the pain. I had to order it and it should be here tomorrow. Have read some not good stuff about the side affects. I also take Forteo and Gabipentin and so so many more. I don't know I am just discouraged and tired of feeling this way all the time. I want to get back to life.

Lyrica is also supposed to help with the sleep problem, muscle pain and the tingling in extremeities. My dr. had told me not to take cymbalta and lyrica together... but again you NEED to consult a professional on that. I was not able to take either meds because they made me too loopy (swimmy headed). So I do take a benadryll to help me sleep. Good deep sleep is very important.

Anybody know if there is any problems taking tramadol and provigil together?

I do use OTC sleep aids like you said and i think for now i will continue, i have some ambien, but i will keep it to use when i need it, since i had to beg for it. I dont want to use it all the time anyway. And i use 200 mg of provigil now, and i sometimes i could use a bit more. But i try to stick with 200 mg.

My neuro has just prescribed Provigil for me. (I emailed him and he answered within 5 minutes! Gotta hand it to him for that.) Anyway, I had previously had Amantadine, which did zilch, even at 200 mg. I am authorized to take 100 mg of Provigil, and can go to 200 if necessary. From what I recall, many of you take half a pill, so I guess that's 50. Have looked up the drug info online and it said side effects include nausea and anxiety, among other things, including a serious rash..

m a healthy 25 y/o female that has been dealing with chronic back pain for 11 years. Since the back pain started after an accident i have been getting more and more tired. I have trouble staying awake at work, thinking, driving and getting off the couch in general. on or off depression meds i feel exactly the same. I do not take pain meds. I had a sleep study done last year that showed over 200 spontaneous arousal over 8 hrs. My MSL is a 6.

when i first went on Provigil, the difference was immediate and made a huge difference, I could actually get up and move. It might depend on how much you need it. I suppose my body got used to it but I also have some different symptoms now, but it still works, just not like the miracle it was at first. But if I don't take it, I can really tell the difference. I am so happy for you, fatigue is one of the worse syptoms in my opinion.

I have the same issues (MS and Sleep Apnea). There are times when I can take the Provigil and still lay down and go right to sleep. I told The Physician Asst at my Neuro office there are times when the fatigue is so bad the Provigil doesn't help. She said that when someone has that level of fatigue there probably isn't anything that will help except sleep. Quix might be able to tell us what the half life of Provigil is. I only take it in the morning.

m glad your doc is treating the fatigue, but I wonder why the Ritalin instead of the usually more favored Provigil. Have you tried and failed Provigil or something? Yes, people have been helped by Ritalin and it's (better, I think) cousin Adderall for the symptoms of Cog Fog and the ADD it can cause. I'll be interested in hearing how well it works for fatigue. I thank the stars for you finding such a good doctor. They are a treasure!

I saw my PCP today, and he told me Provigil was VERY expensive, $500.00 a month and insurance co would fight it, and even then my co-pay would be out of sight. He started me on a perscription of Bontril. I took one about 11:30 today, and had no problems today at work. I'm excited about this, I sure hope it works. I do have to see him every month to get a refill, as it does have some serious side-effects. But I really need the feeling of wakefullness and energy it gave me today.

She said the depression was from the disease process and we needed to get me feeling better and the provigil and neurontin would do that. She did not want to do DMDnow as that actually would make me feel worse at present.
