Avatar f tn muscle and/or joint pain, debilitating fatigue, headaches, memory loss, difficulty with concentration. Patients with fibromyalgia often have chronic fatigue syndrome as well. Coginitive behaviour therapy is quite helpful in chronic fatigue syndrome and you can go in for this. There is no medication available that can treat CFS specifically, but different medicines like pain killers and antidepressants are quite useful.
Avatar f tn ve taken both Provigil and Adderall to help with the bad fatigue I get. I like Provigil a lot more than Adderall. It seems to have less severe side-effects for me. The only problem is that it causes my Irritable Bowel Syndrome to get out of control. So frustrating! Other than that, I would really recommend it. Best of luck to you, I hate the fatigue of this illness.
398059 tn?1447945633 I read that some of you use provigil or whatever and some other drugs for fighting fatigue. What are the good, the bad, and the ugly on using them?
789572 tn?1334424879 Provigil did it for me. 200 mg daily or when I need it (I don't need it everyday.) Hep C + for over 30 years, last biopsy 2003, under care of hepatologist, tried tx in 2004, waiting until VX-950 is available. Labs are stable.
Avatar f tn I have debilitating fatigue due to MS and have tried everything - Provigil, Amantadine, Adderall, Ritalin - the works. While Provigil helped for some time while I was still working, that was many years ago and its effectiveness eventually petered out. At the time, I was taking a very large dose in accordance to doctor's orders, and my side effects (heart palpitations, increased rate of speech, crashing, etc.) were quite bothersome.
1100837 tn?1267668675 m experiencing from the RA and FMS with Provigil (for fatigue) and Effexor XR (for pain). What do you all think?
Avatar m tn my Doctor passed it off as situational life stress issues......and was put on low dose of Prozax 20mg, Provigil and ambien for sleep.....none of this improved the fatigue. So doctor changed my mess in 2007 to Vyvannse 60mg, dropped the Prozac and kept me on Ambien but started me B12 shots since it was very low in the 220 range....the Vyvannse greatly improved my activity and work productivity significantly even though my body continued to feel worn out.
Avatar n tn rash on her face every now and then. chronic fatigue. high white blood cell count. huge lymphnodes in her neck/ behind her ears and in her armpit. she is anemic. has severe depression and anxiety(hence why she attempted suicide in the beginning of the month and thats why she is in inpatient treatment right now ). her joints are incredibly sore and has a rush of warmth into them from time to time. and she has terrible migraines very frequently... as for the period thing.

I dont want to use it all the time anyway. And i use 200 mg of provigil now, and i sometimes i could use a bit more. But i try to stick with 200 mg.
5509293 tn?1428531475 Hi Joie, I took Modafinil for over a year. 200 mg a day but as far as I know I did not have any bp issues but no none checked so I can't say for certain that I didn't.
Avatar f tn there are no companies that offer discounts on provigil.....sorry.........I fought that battle for 2 years............sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I went to the company and several other organizations with no luck.
Avatar m tn What type of Dr would prescibe this med? I suffer from chronic fatigue and being the sole caregiver for an ailing parent now for eight years, I have develped caregiver burnout. Energy/motivation has never been lower. I've tried all kinds of nutritional aids to no avail. I would like to try this medication for the short term. I don't have a regular Dr so I am curious what type of Dr I should see to discuss this with........
Avatar f tn How do they help with the pain? Do they help with chronic fatigue as well? I have been diagnosed with chronic fatigue, and the aches and pains(especially legs from my thighs to my ankels) are leading the doctor to think fibromyalgia. I was just wondering about these meds because I NEED some relief and I've heard many mentions of these meds. Can they be taken with provigil?
1316973 tn?1313257227 What tests do I need now, and what does anyone know about chronic fatigue syndrome? A doctor I came across suggested I might have it. How would one know?
1480022 tn?1300099054 HiDrBoo40, I have fibro and CFS, plus a heart condition, so I am on several medications. I know exactly how you feel!!! As for your depression, maybe you need something different then Effexor or is it really helping? You have said it is severe, so I am thinking you need a different med or you might need a dosage uppage. I have just started taking Savella for my fibro and it has a anti-depressant in it. I found that it has helped me pretty good, but I still get depressed some days.
Avatar f tn I am starting to wonder if perhaps I have chronic fatigue syndrome and was wondering if this sounds likely from this group of symptoms, or if they suggest anything else and, if so, what.
