I have had protein off and on throughout my pregnancy with pre-eclampsia in labor with my first. My midwife told me that unless there is an issue with my BP, all is OK. Eat more protein and drink a Crap ton of water. Like 8 bottles or more a day.

Hey, I had protein in my urine with my last pregnancy n had to do the 24 hr urine. Come to find out I had preeclampsia. This pregnancy they found a trace of protein n I had to do the 24 hr urine n blood work but I didn't have preeclampsia this pregnancy.

Protein in the urine in not a sign of pregnancy but can result in pregnant women who expereince a complication called preeclampsia (does not occur until 2nd-3rd trimester). Protein in your urine could indicate a problem with your kidneys. I do hope you have a follow-up with your doctor.

I had high protein 2 weeks ago. Tested again this week and it was normal. Most women test high at some point in pregnancy, doesn't mean anything unless you get more than one in a row. I hadn't eaten much 2 weeks ago, that was probably the reason it was high for me. Dehydration can be another reason. Odds are you have nothing to worry about, just take it as it comes. So I understand protein in urine during pregnancy is not a good sign. I read up on something mentioning pre-eclampsya. But what I dont understand is I dont have high.blood pressure. Can it be possible to have it but with normal blood pressure?

Hello! Anyone else get protein in their urine? I'm 6 weeks and 5 days and I'm hoping it's nothing serious although my doctor called me back to her office to discuss it. Any support would be great! Happened to me im 38w+2d and they said my blood pressure was high sent me to the hospital and it was normal. They also said I had protein in my urine made me pee in a cup for 24 hours .

Hmm usually protein in the urine and swelling is a sign of pre eclampsia. If she's not concerned to the point where she's forgot to bring it up I'd say its nothing drastic but maybe call her and ask?

So Im 28 wks 2 days and I took a 24 hr urine test and my numbers came back high 171 when they should be between 50-80...I have also had persistent bad headaches some dizziness shortness of breath and fatigue. but no high blood pressure so am I preeclamptic or not? I had protein in my urine at 32 weeks and they said they thought it was because I was not drinking enough water and could be dehydrated. They had me come back in 2 weeks to check as it could be a sign of pre-eclampsia. I had my appointment yesterday and no protein. The big sign of pre-eclampsia is high blood pressure so they will want to continue to check you for that. So make sure you are drinking a lot of water!

ve been showing a lot of protein in my urine, the first time it was 2+ and the the pat two times it was 3+ the last one was just today at my drs. My Dr is concerned because my actual urine analysis showed no signs of infections or illness at all besides this ton of protein always in my urine.

During during my pregnancy their were obvious signs of protein in urine but the doctors didn't not look any further. My son was delivery one month earlier due to placenta abruption. Right after I gave birth I had preclamsia and an absses in my C-section. When I went for my 6 month check up I was referred to a urologist.

I had high BP and had to do a 24 hour urine test and came back with protein in my urine. As long as the protein is not accompanied by high BP or swelling, you're good. :) I'm actually being induced on the 14th at 37 weeks because of Pre E.
