Avatar f tn Oh I think mine was per month though not per three months. The doc would write the script for 3 months worth but they'd only give me one month at a time, so 40 a month.
1722607 tn?1335747858 I contacted my insurance company today to ask about the price of the meds for triple treatment. A 3 month supply of interferon, ribavirin, & Victrelis would cost $180.00 (so about $60 a month) I thought it was going to be a lot higher. But I forgot to ask about "rescue drugs". Not sure how that works and how much that would be. Any one have an idea?

148588 tn?1465778809 With only 10 to 30 grams of Sovaldi needed for successful treatment, the difference from the $30 production cost for Gilead’s full course of treatment—30 grams x $1.00 per gram—to $84,000 for the 12-week treatment program represents a retail markup of 279,000%.) Weinstein’s letter to state Medicaid directors also reminds them that, “Gilead did not pay to research and develop Sovaldi. In 2011, it purchased Pharmasset, the company that had already developed the drug, for $11 billion in cash.
Avatar f tn i pay 300 per month in copays for treatment. Each injectable is 100 per month and I'm on 3. 700 is pretty steep but that's the way things are going in healthcare. A year ago my co pay on neupogen was 45 a month.
Avatar n tn Propose that your partner try Avodart. I think it really helps with prostate enlargement. That is what the television commercials say anyhow. Unfortunately it also can cause a large reduction in semen production. AND women wanting to become pregnant should NEVER touch the pill as it can cause birth defects if they are exposed at all to it. You can Google Avodart read all of this yourself from a variety of sites, including Avodart's manufacturer.
Avatar f tn Hello! Clomid is relatively inexpensive. I think it's about $60 or so per month. The HSG shot is also $60 or so. IUI should cost ~$300.00. The other costs will be associated with blood tests and ultrasounds, though somehow my RE billed all that through insurance under PCOS. It started costing me quite a bit of money when I did an injectible cycle. That was a flat rate of $1300, plus $300 for the IUI, plus another $1200 or so for the medication. Ouch.
559187 tn?1330782856 I just got the letter from Novartis about my share-of-cost for the oral drug Gilenya. I was astonished to see that they expect me to pay $150 per month. This amount is probably a result of what they negotiated with the insurance company, but I have good insurance and can't believe this is the best they can come up with. My neuro has a good reason for putting me on this drug versus going on the interferons and I'd hate to think I can't go on this because of cost.
Avatar m tn I was told by my gastro-enterologist that the cost would be 30K per month for 12 weeks = $90,000. His office and the company that makes it are working on the supplemental insurance I need to pay for it, and I am not sure what I am supposed to be doing about it... maybe will head for the SOcial Security office again to ask them... I have the same question as you about the co-pay.
Avatar m tn I had quite severe BHP and taking proscar and cardura. Had always difficulty urinating. I tried saw palmetto and it made me unable to urinate at all. I had to go to hospital.
Avatar n tn You will definitely need to contact the company for financial help, because unless you are quite wealthy- you can't afford to pay cash. You also can't purchase just one u=injection. My pharmacy paperwork said that one month cost $4300 this time. I've seen it as low as $3800. With insurance, I paid $35.00- at least until they change the insurance coverage. There are programs available out there. One place to look is www.needymeds.com.
Avatar n tn 5 days later he had prostrate problems and ended up leaving the hospital with a catheter. He ended up with an infection and after taking proscar and flowmax for 5 months (and using the single use catheter) he went in for an opening of the urethra. He since has had recurrent bladder infections, terrible gas and bloating. He is still on nitrofurantion (2 pills a day for 5 days) one pill a day for 30. He has no relief. He is up every night with terrible pains.
Avatar f tn Per month cost no, over all cost about the same, inc is only taken for 12 wks so per month cost is higher than vic
Avatar f tn My insurance changes in less than a month now, but at present, I'm paying $60 for the Tecfidera, and maybe $20 total, per month, for a few others. I have alerted my neuro to the change and he and the pharmaceutical reps are prepared to do the legwork with the new insurer, but it's scary to think my new insurance might not cover my med. We'll see. And yes, I read your other post about the insane cost, and like you, I'm livid about it.
Avatar n tn observation if another biopsy done in 04/09 shows increase in positive cores to 3 or more or if any one core shows 50%+ positive for cancer? Also, is there any current opinion regarding use of Avodart or Proscar while in Watchful Waiting mode? I understand there would be a likely reduction in PSA, but that new PSA baseline be established and return to monitoring of PSA velocity. Not sure what, if any, benefit this would provide.
572651 tn?1530999357 In NZ the cost is roughly between $1000 and $1250 NZ per month. It's fully subsidised so patients pay about $5 per month once they get approval for the subsidy. Are you guys in the US being ripped off, if it's so much cheaper in NZ?
Avatar f tn My drug coverage is 34.00 a month with a 325.00 deductible. With max out pocket of 5500.00 per year. but with out this drug coverage it would have run around 50,000. without any other unforeseen medication.
Avatar m tn The normal level of testosterone in your bloodstream is between 350 and 1,000 nanograms per deciliter (ng/dl). Medications include oral, intramuscular and transdermal agents, but results vary a lot. Before you start any medication, I suggest you try a natural approach: physical exercise + DHEA, vitamins C,D, B, E and fish oil. Make sure you're not taking any meds that may influence your hormone levels, e.g. finasteride (brand names Propecia, Proscar) for male pattern baldness.
