I do not want to stop taking Propecia because it has done wonders for my hair. Propecia has halted my hair loss and has re-grown considerable amount of hair. Thus, I need to address my erection problems while still being able to take Propecia. I read that L-Arginine could help with my erectile problems and that it works similar to Viagra. Thus, I began taking L-Arginine, 1500 mg. twice a day. It has helped but it has not solved the problem.
Hi Bud, and welcome! Sorry to hear that you've had a relapse. From what you've said, it sounds like you're pretty confident donating blood has had at least somewhat of an impact on your symptoms, and I would probably agree. However, there could have been other factors as well, such as the running/exercise. Maybe next time you should try 2 weeks of resting after donating blood, before running.

I took this propecia pill for 5 years 1mg a day everyday.. since I was 17 with little to no side effects besides no morning erections and watery semen.. turned 22 oct 2nd of 2016.. as the months went on I felt like my penis wasn't working like it should.. my erections seemed much weaker.. I stopped being hard during sex twice with my girlfriend..
And there was some talk about a phone call and twenty four hours thing. She can check her cholesteral and other blood things via phone call. Would they use that to notify her? And would they be as prompt? I don't know? What do you think? And she also wants to know if I recent flu or cold would mess with the test scanning? I told her she needn't worry about her status, I think she was conclusive a long time ago but she keeps saying you never know.

So, maybe you can just ask your doctor where and under what circumstances you would be donating blood, and what your options are in this respect. Unless you have another condition, being gay would have no bearing on this. I also hope you are not embarrassed to say you are gay, because you shouldn't be.
Either way, if this is your only solution then I would think your doctor would have a way for you to donate annonymously.
Well it was unprotected oral and I'm a college student and he is a college student and I know the prevalence of STDs in my age group. It was two weeks ago I don't have any symptoms but I guess I'm just freaked out cause I know better! I'm A negative and try to donate whenever possible. So you think I should still donate?

To my horror I came across this page and saw your posts. I stopped taking propecia more than a year ago and have not regained any of the sexual funtion i lost while taking the meds. My erections are LAME, my seaman volume is a joke (and it used to come out like a garden hose) and my orgasms dont even feel that great. I can go months and months now without masterbation and dont even feel horny. This NEVER used to happen to me.
There's no blood or any other symptoms whatsoever. I'm an avid bodybuilder and frequently drink 1 gallon of water a day. I doubt its hydration. I've seen mentions of high protein diets that may cause this and seeing as my diet is a high protein one, that could be the cause. One of the urologists first concerns was a semen analysis to get done, which came back completely normal. I guess it could be due to the propecia(Finasteride) however it's nothing of concern, according to him.

Hello I have been using Rogaine and Propecia 1mg a day for the last 6 years , my alts and so on have always been high around 150 , my gastro doctor 6 years ago it is fine to be using it , now I have stage 11 Fibrosis and will
start treatment probably in the next year or so I wil try and wait for telaprevir .
Is it safe to use rogaine & propecia while on treatment ?
