I took this propecia pill for 5 years 1mg a day everyday.. since I was 17 with little to no side effects besides no morning erections and watery semen.. turned 22 oct 2nd of 2016.. as the months went on I felt like my penis wasn't working like it should.. my erections seemed much weaker.. I stopped being hard during sex twice with my girlfriend..
Very high blood pressure (150/100), high heart rate (80-90 at rest, 100-120 while just walking around the house),
extreme anxiety, and dropped about 5 pounds in the last week without trying.
I took progesterone cream for 2 months (June and July). All of these issues seemed to have popped

To my horror I came across this page and saw your posts. I stopped taking propecia more than a year ago and have not regained any of the sexual funtion i lost while taking the meds. My erections are LAME, my seaman volume is a joke (and it used to come out like a garden hose) and my orgasms dont even feel that great. I can go months and months now without masterbation and dont even feel horny. This NEVER used to happen to me.
There's no blood or any other symptoms whatsoever. I'm an avid bodybuilder and frequently drink 1 gallon of water a day. I doubt its hydration. I've seen mentions of high protein diets that may cause this and seeing as my diet is a high protein one, that could be the cause. Hello I have been using Rogaine and Propecia 1mg a day for the last 6 years , my alts and so on have always been high around 150 , my gastro doctor 6 years ago it is fine to be using it , now I have stage 11 Fibrosis and will
start treatment probably in the next year or so I wil try and wait for telaprevir .
Is it safe to use rogaine & propecia while on treatment ?

s assistant pretty much ruled out telogen effluvium, told me it was androgentic alopecia, and wrote me a prescription for Propecia. I almost wish I had not went to this appointment as I now have to decide between what this PA concluded and what seems like common sense.

Forgot the most important word but you can insert mind, energy level, memory, skin moisture, restful sleep and a few others and the sentence will still be correct. Treatment is tough and in the big scheme of things hair loss is the least of your worries. I know as young man of 32 it's difficut to understand that but it's very true.
My sex drive is no where near where it was before taking propecia and besides the erections I get in the morning or when I am sleeping, I still do not get spontaneous erections. I also don't get erections unless physically stimulated. My imagination or the sight of an attractive girl doesn't do it like it did prior to taking the drug. I don't feel aroused or want sex hardly ever.
5 mg for one year and 1 mg for 1 year till today), In october 2016 my derm put me on accutane 10 mg and minoxiline(100mg) for treating my mild acne, I had been drinking heavily for 5 days before starting my accutane course, 10 days into the course, I started to have Gyno(Unilateral, right breast with a movable tender lump), I dropped accutane and minoxiline and also propecia after 23 days. It has been a month now but my Gyno hasnt reduced, I restarted propecia as I was starting to lose hair.
I went to a dermatologist and she put me on propecia for the hair loss. I also took a blood test and said my iron was low. But other then that I my blood was normal. Is it possible they ran certain tests on my blood and not others which maybe why I am misdiagnosed. I have a follow up in late july. I didnt have this burning sensation before i went to see my doc. And my burning scalp is not a symptom of propecia. Any ideas to what this could be? A disease?

Long story short....
m taking minoxydil and propecia for hair loss for the last 6 months did the affect the HIV first test reading which came positive as I stopped taking those medicine after the first rapid test which came positive, and do I need to repeat the HIV test again as the doctor asked me to do the HIV test again in 1 year time which made me worried as he might knows something which I don‘t know and honestly the last days were a disaster for me but what about waiting for 1 year which I‘m sure I will die b
I do feel tired and have appetite and sleep problems and high blood pressure now. My doctor believes that this is all stress induced and that don't require any testing. I also stopped taking a medication (Propecia) about a week ago and believe that it may have put my system out of whack. Please help.
I took him to dermetologist, he priscribed Propecia for him. He said it has sexual side effect and goes away when yo sop taking the drug. He has lots of hair now and he does not lose any more hair. However, news is floting around saying that the sexual side effect comes from propecia is sometime not reversible. Asyesterday,he stopped his medicine. I am really worried if it has done any damage to him or not.
Could this all somehow be in my head? I had a blood test which showed very slightly low blood pressure and very slightly elevated cholesterol but the urologist said that was nothing. I did not have an STD panel but it has been a long time since I've had intercourse and it's at the point where I'm afraid to get intimate again because I feel like I probably will have difficulty preforming.
