prometrium withdrawal symptoms

I'm on prometrium and my doctor said that if I was going to miscarry it would not stop it from happening that it would just happen on it's own. So, from what my doctor said yes you will still miscarry even if you are taking the prometrium it doesn't stop it from happening. It will not prevent spotting bleeding or cramping. I have been spotting since the 22nd and been on prometrium since the 28th. So you will still bleed on prometrium. Is this sound clear?

I use a generic weekly estradiol patch (.1 mg) and Prometrium (200 mg) every night due to extreme menopausal symptoms. I change my patch on Monday evenings. I bleed for several days beginning every other Monday. Could this be caused by the patch losing effectiveness before the week is up? Would switching to Vivelle Dot, which has a twice a week schedule, help prevent the bleeding?

Anyone on prometrium ? I was on prometrium which is progestrogen.. they took me off of it because i hit 11 weeks but now i am having crazy withdrawl symptoms.. i am tired cranky moody , crying all the time .. is this normal withdrawl or is it just preggo symptoms .. any imput ladies ..

I had my 3rd IUI on 5/7/08. I took Clomid on days 5-9. This morning I was not feeling well (nausea, tired, etc). I am really hoping that I am pregnant but I'm not sure if my "symptoms" are just in my head or real. It seems too early to have pregnancy symptoms but what do you think? Has anyone had symptoms this early on? Could they just be related to Clomis? Any input is very much appreciated. Thanks!

This is my first time posting a question so bear with me. I'm a 24 y/o F who has been trying to get pregnant since last April. I have very irregular and missed periods so my Dr. put me on 10 days of Prometrium. I had few side effects, fatigue, dizziness and some nausea. After the 10 days on the pill I am supposed to get my period and on day 3 of normal mentration return to the clinic for lab work to diagnose polycystic ovaries. It's been 7 days and no period yet.

My ob/gyn has put me on Prometrium to help regulate my menstrual cycle. My husband and I are trying to concieve our second child. With my first child I was put on prometrium for the first trimester due to low progesterone levels. This month I thought there was a chance I was pregnant and he told me instead of taking it days 16-25 I should remain on it until I know for sure if I am pregnant. I still have not gotten my period, and I am 3 days late.

m wondering though if provera is essentially the same as Prometrium? I know Prometrium is more of a natural progesterone and Provera is synthetic, but I have already done 10 days of prometrium and no period came. Ugh...so frustrating! I have not been diagnosed, but I have heard of Metformin. Of the symptoms of PCOS, the only one I have is the absense of a cycle. I will for sure ask about it...it's worth a shot!

Prometrium makes me incredibly, incredibly dizzy if I haven't had enough water. Unfortunately all the symptoms associated with it are also pregnancy symptoms. Just a few more days to test!!!

I had the same symptoms on Prometrium. I had to start taking it late at night so i wasn't affected by the side effects. I would get so dizzy the room literally felt like it was moving and i couldn't walk in a straight line then i would have a stomach ache, get super nauseous, then incredibly tired. It happened about half hour after i took the pill and would last for about 30-60 minutes.

This month I used an ovulator kit and BD on the right days and took prometrium as soon as I ovulated, so why am I not pregnant. I have all the symptoms; but this can also be prometrium side effects. I really do not believe that I am pregnant because I have not experienced any spotting. I am SO frustrated. Has anyone gone through the same experience?

Hi Everyone I was just wondering if any of you have been taking progesterone prior to getting a BFP or BFN, and the side effects you had? I have just started the supplements and typically my body does not like medications and reacts badly. The day I started taking the progesterone I began having heartburn, headaches,nausea, bloating and bone pain.

I'm taking prometrium (200mg) once a day at bedtime post ovulation. I should be 9 or 10 DPO. I've been taking it 9 days. I know that taking this can cause pregnancy symptoms, but my question is: does it build up and intensify as you take it day after day. Ex: my breasts are larger but the tenderness has been very mild, then disappeared, until last night. They were very sore on the sides mostly last night, but then this mornng they are tender all over.

I've been doing some research on prometrium . I was prescribed prometrium since the month of Feb. In Feb.,I ovulated with the help of clomid and prometrium. My progesterone levels were 34. In March my cycle never came and I contacted my Dr on Apr. 9 letting her know I never had my cycle. She schedule me to take some test to take . On 14 my cycle visited and was very weird . her instructions for the prometrium is to take on cycle day 16 and continue to take until a cycle comes.

Question about taking Prometrium (progesterone) after an iui--does it cause cramping? I've been feeling crampy since yesterday (day 6 after iui) and I'm wondering if that is due to the progesterone. I don't want to get my hopes up thinking it's possibly implantation cramping if it's probably just due to the Prometrium...

Yes, Prometrium does delay your AF. First time when i was on prometrium, i didn't get my AF until CD40.

I was in prometrium 200mg once a day with my 3rd pregnancy..and still i m/c at 17&1/2 weeks.. and i stopped taking the prometrium at my 15&1/2weeks( i should only take them for 12 weeks, but my dr told me to continued the left pills..) still don't know the reason why,, if it's bec. i stopped taking the progesterone supplement or there is some thing else..

So I have now been on Prometrium (orally, 300mg a day) for about a week. I have looked it up on the web, and all the sites related to it say to take it before you are pregnant, but not to take while you are pregnant. I am completely confused. My OB prescribed it knowing absolutely I was pregnant, and has me on it up until the end of the first trimester. Also, it seems the symptoms mimic pregnancy symptoms. I am supposed to stop my prometrium when I'm 10w which is this thursday, but I have read that some people have miscarried because ur body is not making enough progesterone of its own. I been trying to get preggo for almost 4 yrs and to miscarried now would be devestating. I have also heard that if ur preggo with twins which I am its good to keep taking the prometrium to minimize the chances of premature labor.

I have been on bio-identical hormones for 3 years and they have worked wonders until recently. I wear a climera patch all month of .075 and I take Prometrium 12 days of the month. Is progesteron different from my prometrium? Should I stop all hormone therapy to see if the bleeding stops? I really don't know what to do from here.

Anyway, I had started prometrium 100mg 2x a day 5 dpo. Since BFN this month I am wondering if the prometrium will have screwed things up for next month? Doesn't it prevent o? I stopped taking it last nite, but I hope that its not to late and I'll still be able to get a BFP next month.

I got mine the next day, as soon as I stopped prometrium I started spotting and the next day I got my AF.
