prometrium with clomid

They have done ultrasound, pap smear and it says i having pco with fibroid. I still bleeding with 3-4 clots per day.I'm 29 now,I think I am too young to be in menopause.How can i stop this abnormal thing? Do i really need D&C or i should take one more course of prometrium 200 mg until it stops? Can you please tell me what is going on? Thanks in advance.

I am using provera to induce my period and then I am taking clomid cd 5-9. Currently I am talking 50mg with no side effects. On my firth month the doctor will bump me up to 100mg.

So after you did IUI, you are not prescribe to help your lining with Prometrium or something like that?? Mine are also almost clear a little yellow but the pill that i insert is yellow so I know that since I started to take that pill vaginally, I started to have discarge. But because I started the pill next day after IUI, i don't know whether it is because of the pill or IUI..

I did have to go to the doctor a lot more than with clomid. I went on cd1, cd3, cd6, cd8, cd9, cd10, and cd11. The last 2 visits were IUIs. The others were u/s and b/w. You need to research where you want to buy your meds from. I have a document with 6 different pharmacies and prices of the meds I used. Estrace and Prometrium are not on there because my insurance covered them. Follistim and Gonal F are supposed to be close to one another.

I was prescribed prometrium since the month of Feb. In Feb.,I ovulated with the help of clomid and prometrium. My progesterone levels were 34. In March my cycle never came and I contacted my Dr on Apr. 9 letting her know I never had my cycle. She schedule me to take some test to take . On 14 my cycle visited and was very weird . her instructions for the prometrium is to take on cycle day 16 and continue to take until a cycle comes. I stopped taking the prometrium th week before I called her.

Hi guys, so I am currently at 8dpo, I took 50mg clomid cycle day 5-9 and have been on 200mg x2 daily of prometrium orally since 3 dpo. I know that sore boobs and nausea can be from the prometrium, and fatigue, which I have had plenty of... But today I got up to let my doggies out, and as I was moving around I felt really dizzy... Is this the prometrium or could it be an early symptom?

my doctor put me on 200 Prometrium to start my period then Clomid 50 last month, no positive preg test so this month he did they same but uped my Clomid to 100. I did my OPK on days 10-today, which is day 15 with no LH surge. Can I still become pregnant without an LH surge? I thought for sure i ovulated, I got the little crap in my lower stomache and also had the extra mucus. is it possible or not? Anyone have any pregnancies without an LH surge???

I would have to say yes. I took Clomid and then after I o'd I started on 200mg of Prometrium. It made me feel like a basket case, but it did the trick! Be careful with progesterone I just found out I have a cyst because of it. I am worried that the cyst will cause me to miscarry. Why can't it be easy??? We need a large amount of progesterone to sustain a pregnancy but yet it can still back fire, this just crazy to me! Good luck!

For the last few months I have been super late getting AF and have had to call my doctor about getting put on prometrium..Well he said if I am still not having my peroid with out prometrium he will need to put me on Clomid! I thought that was a fertility drug! I would love to get pregnant but have never heard of that being used to help get peroids regulated! I am agian late for AF this month. Due on the 18th and no sign of it comming! light crampiness but nothing else!

Thanks for responding, this is still my first round and our first trial with prometrium and clomid. I still have til the second week in December to see if I miss my period or not. I do have irregular periods and sometimes go months with out a period and sometimes go months with having a period. Last year I had a 60lbs cyst removed that they believed to be coming from my left ovary and I had to have my left ovary partially removed so I'm workin on one ovary and one fallopian tube.

my 5th IUI (3rd on Clomid) ended with a BTN, but still no AF. wondering if the prometrium might delay my AF. I stopped it 2 days ago but still no sign of AF. I did blood test today but won't know the result till tomorrow, just to confirm the failure. I am really fed up with the trying and no knowing what could've gone wrong. Hey Girl, first of all did you do any hormones with your IUI .... clomid/fsh shots/ trigger shots.... Is your ovulation being monitored via Ultrsound and LH levels???

I remove them in Nov. 09 and have been trying to concieve ever since. I was on clomid briefly last year and decided to stop for a while because I needed a break. I went back to the same RE in Jan 11 and started clomid again which I have been on for the past 5 months. He does monitor me with 2 blood tests per cycle, one at ovulation and one a week later and an ultrasound at ovulation (always found 3-4 follicles on each side and said my uterus looks good.

We've been TTC for 10 mths and I started with Clomid and Ovidrel in December. I had a Progesterone test on Day 21and my levels were low so my RE started me on Prometrium (3 doses of 100 mg). My cycle is typically 28-30 days. Today is day 33 and still no AF (I had a blood test yesterday and it was negative). Does Prometrium delay AF?

Hi your temp will spike with the clomid because of the hormones, you didn't miss ovulation. most people o between cd13-16 . I do not temp while i'm on clomid or prometrium it gives you a false high. I start temping four days after my last pill, that's when i start taking opk's too. I take it cd3-9 though. I know this is very frustrating!

I am understand what you are feeling right now because i am in the same boat as you. I have my 2nd IUI done on 5/8 and since 2DPIUI i don't feel good at all. feeling tired and cranky. I want to hope that i am pregnant, but dare not to think about it because i have been thinking about being pregnant each cycles and turn out to be a BFN. :-( Today is my 5DPIUI and i don't have any symtoms yet except feeling tired and irritablity. Do you take Prometrium? could be from that.

iam on 3rd cycle now...my doctor give me 50mg clomid for 2cycles and for 3rd cycle also she is giving me clomid 50mg.......iam taking clomid 50mg from 3rd day to 7th day of my cycle and from 22nd day of my cycle to 28th day iam on prometrium...my doctor asked me do pegency test on 29th day and if it is negitive she want me to stop prometrium and wait for my periods...this is what ihave done for last 2 cycles and i doing the same thing for my 3rd cycle also.......

I take Robitussin because of the clomid. In 30% of women, clomid can cause problems with the fertile mucus your body naturally produces to help those swimmers. Robitussin helps counter act that. So I take 100mg a day, starting the last day I take the clomid. I stop taking it as soon as I have ovulated. The key is to make sure it's the kind of Robitussin where the ONLY active ingredient is Guaifenesin. The DM type isn't what you want. I also use preseed.

Some get their periods anyway, but other have to stop taking prometrium before AF shows. They usually tell you to take it until you take a pregnancy test, then if positive, you'll continue to take it, and if negative, you'll stop. Best of luck!

hi everyone i have a question for you guyes i am trying to get pregnent and my doctor give me 100 mg clomid day 3 to 7 i ask her to low dose she said thats not too much and she also give me estrodial and prometrium estrodial day 8 to 13 prometrium day 17 to28 i am using clear blue easy digital ovulation kit today is day 12 on my period i am taking early morning test can any one tell me when to cheak please help me this is my first round and i also have a very regular period

last shot on may 1st,2009 and my ob/gyn dr told me to start clomid on june 1st. now the question is, when can i start trying to concieve at this point... i know that the week after taking clomid is the expected time to try, but knowing that i havent had a period yet, is that possible. or when is it gonna be possible? after my first period maybe? im confused.

I don't know what's up, but I don't think it's rare, I'm not sure what he means. I do have low progesterone, but my RE still thought pregnancy was possible, and progesterone should be taken at the first positive test. Also, I am going to try this month adding natural progesterone cream to the mix starting 2 days post ovulation. There is alot of information about that on the net.

Well, I have pcos too and my doctor put me on metformin 500mg three times a day and prometrium 200mg twice a day for 10 days each month. The metformin is good for me insulin levels and working with the prometrium my periods have come back after years of not having one. If your periods aren't coming and you're not ovulating it's so hard to have a baby. Ask your doc about putting you on metformin and prometrium or clomid. :) Good luck!

So I took the progesteron and I got AF after a few days. I finally got clomid after being pushy with them. Anyhow so I have to wait for another AF because I got the clomid to late. So I hope the New Year will bring good news.

My doc just put me on 200 mg of prometrium on days 14-28. Does anyone know anything about this medication? How is it different than progesterone? If I concieve while taking it then what? I would have asked my doc these questions but I thought that it was the same a plain progesterone which I have taken before. Also for the Poll If you took prometrium and it helped you conceive did you get a boy or a girl!! We are using shettles method to sway for a boy. We have 2 girls.

I think prometrium will raise your levels whether you're pregnant or not...but hopefully this is your month!!! Best of luck!
