No. It's clear and regular. I'm not taking anything. I did Clomid during my period and then just a regular IUI (no injections).

I did temp charts while on clomid, prometrium and they never looked like a "normal" chart, and still continued for six months. I never ovulated on my own so that could have been a factor. My sister has been charting for four months, nothing looked right and the doctor told her to stop. She now has found out that she also has PCOS and I guess if you hormones are messed up from that that the temp is going to follow.

Right now I am CD45 and just put on Prometrium. I had blood work done and found I have no HCG levels and progesterone levels were below 10. I am really hoping for an AF visit but I was wondering has anyone used Prometrium to get pregnant? I was thinking if it is for increasing your progesterone level during pregnancy and it can also be used to help you ovulate. Can you get pregnant by being on Prometrium?

t have any symtoms yet except feeling tired and irritablity. Do you take Prometrium? could be from that. Clomid since you took it for awhile, it's will not stay in your system by now. I am on Prometrium for 15 days after IUI. Let's hope for BFP. the mind does plays trick on us and makes us think we are pregnant. Just relax and wait until your AF due..... I will take my HPT on 5/26.

you take clomid usually cd5-9 or cd3-7, so you have to have a period to know when to take it. you can use prometrium or provera they both induce af. the side effects of prometrium are horrible, i have never taken provera but i have heard good things. you might want to start tracking your bbt to see if you are ovulating.

I have pcos and just took clomid and now i am 6 wks and 3 days along. i just saw the heartbeat today and everything looked good but the doc started me on prometrium 100 mg daily to help reduce m/c... i hope yours is going along good!

I went to my ob/gyn and she put me on provera 10mg for 10 days. I started 2 days after my last pill and then started Clomid 50mg days 3-7. I went on day 21 to have my levels tested, found out I did not ovulate. So we tried again the second month, same treatment, started 2 days after my last Provera pill and did the Clomid cycle. Did not ovulate. Well this past month she decided to up my dosage of Clomid, but first put me on Provera 10mg for 10 days to enduce my cycle.

I was prescribed prometrium since the month of Feb. In Feb.,I ovulated with the help of clomid and prometrium. My progesterone levels were 34. In March my cycle never came and I contacted my Dr on Apr. 9 letting her know I never had my cycle. She schedule me to take some test to take . On 14 my cycle visited and was very weird . her instructions for the prometrium is to take on cycle day 16 and continue to take until a cycle comes. I stopped taking the prometrium th week before I called her.

I had my trigger shot yesterday at 9am. My doc prescribed estradiol, prometrium (both in pill form) and progesterone suppositories for the next 2 weeks until my pregnancy blood test. Anyone else on these and do you know why? My doc just said my hormone levels were very low and he wanted to me take these to sustain the embryo if it does implant. I know that sore boobs and nausea can be from the prometrium, and fatigue, which I have had plenty of... But today I got up to let my doggies out, and as I was moving around I felt really dizzy... Is this the prometrium or could it be an early symptom? It really freaked me out, I'm trying not to get my hopes up as usual, but just looking for some hope I guess... Is it too early????

I would have to say yes. I took Clomid and then after I o'd I started on 200mg of Prometrium. It made me feel like a basket case, but it did the trick! Be careful with progesterone I just found out I have a cyst because of it. I am worried that the cyst will cause me to miscarry. Why can't it be easy??? We need a large amount of progesterone to sustain a pregnancy but yet it can still back fire, this just crazy to me! Good luck!

iam on 3rd cycle now...my doctor give me 50mg clomid for 2cycles and for 3rd cycle also she is giving me clomid 50mg.......iam taking clomid 50mg from 3rd day to 7th day of my cycle and from 22nd day of my cycle to 28th day iam on prometrium...my doctor asked me do pegency test on 29th day and if it is negitive she want me to stop prometrium and wait for my periods...this is what ihave done for last 2 cycles and i doing the same thing for my 3rd cycle also.......

I do not have periods without taking progesterone. I can go many many months without a period without the progesterone. I am on cycle one of 50 mg of clomid (5-9) now. I have been using OPKs and they have not shown a LH surge but I think I have noticed changes in my cervical mucus. Could I have ovulated and it just didn't show on the OPK? I was also cramping something fierce on day 16. Is this common on clomid?

Yeah, Clomid helps you ovulate, and if you ovulate you'll have a period...or you're supposed to.

I was on Clomid 50mg cd5 to cd9. I did accupuncture twice a week for 3 weeks and 3 times after the IUI. my NP told me to use Prometrium twice a day after IUI which I did the last 2 cycles when I was on Clomid and my AF came before the end of 2ww. but now it's been 17 dpIUI and still no sign of AF. I've already stopped Prometrium althought my NP told me not to. I just don't want to have any false hope any more. I had 4 follis size from 24 to 20. did IUI 48 hrs after the surge.

Hey Girl, first of all did you do any hormones with your IUI .... clomid/fsh shots/ trigger shots.... Is your ovulation being monitored via Ultrsound and LH levels???

I remove them in Nov. 09 and have been trying to concieve ever since. I was on clomid briefly last year and decided to stop for a while because I needed a break. I went back to the same RE in Jan 11 and started clomid again which I have been on for the past 5 months. He does monitor me with 2 blood tests per cycle, one at ovulation and one a week later and an ultrasound at ovulation (always found 3-4 follicles on each side and said my uterus looks good.

Thanks for responding, this is still my first round and our first trial with prometrium and clomid. I still have til the second week in December to see if I miss my period or not. I do have irregular periods and sometimes go months with out a period and sometimes go months with having a period. Last year I had a 60lbs cyst removed that they believed to be coming from my left ovary and I had to have my left ovary partially removed so I'm workin on one ovary and one fallopian tube.

We've been TTC for 10 mths and I started with Clomid and Ovidrel in December. I had a Progesterone test on Day 21and my levels were low so my RE started me on Prometrium (3 doses of 100 mg). My cycle is typically 28-30 days. Today is day 33 and still no AF (I had a blood test yesterday and it was negative). Does Prometrium delay AF?

But my doc told me to start trying after I get two periods after my last Lupron shot. And she gave me Prometrium to get my period back quicker because it didn't come back on its own. My thing is that I don't want to wait any longer I want to try now!!

I am on cd17 after using Clomid 50 mg, this is my first round. I have not ovulated yet. I am charting and taking OPK and both indicate it was not happened. My question is should I be concerned. I was under the impression that i should have ovulated between cd12 - cd16. Has anyone ever ovulated later and gotten pregnant? I do ovulate on my own, but my cycles are long 32-40 days and ovulation occurs between cd18 and cd24. So, I am taking it to be a little more regular...

you're welcome! I imagine your dr prescribed such a high dose of Prometrium just to be super safe and give you a little more help with building up the lining. I had to have my levels checked a few times, and for me the worst was always the scary time when he would wean me off of the Prometrium at 11 wks. I kinda felt like it was my "Dumbo's magic feather", and that I'd immediately mc if he took my "magic pills" away from me.

number was 58 and I was preg. but mc at 8 weeks. Then it was in the twenties and thirties each month and BFN each time. I just finished my first IVF and my prog. level was 85 and it was again a BFN. Sorry, but just try to focus on positive and don't read too much information - you'll drive yourself crazy! For every person who has had one thing happen, you will find three that had different things happen :) I hope you get your BFP!

This is my first time posting a question so bear with me. I'm a 24 y/o F who has been trying to get pregnant since last April. I have very irregular and missed periods so my Dr. put me on 10 days of Prometrium. I had few side effects, fatigue, dizziness and some nausea. After the 10 days on the pill I am supposed to get my period and on day 3 of normal mentration return to the clinic for lab work to diagnose polycystic ovaries. It's been 7 days and no period yet.

I recently underwent IUI after Clomid, Follistim and Ovidrel, in that order. Since my IUI i have been on Prometrium twice a day. My question is... will i get a period if not pregnant while taking Prometrium?
