prometrium tablets

No I have not had sex in over a week and haven't actually got to see my doctor yet. I'm so worried cause this is how my miscarriage started. I called the doctor answering service and they want me to up my prometrium to 300 MG, but my 200 MG tablets are liquid filled and won't split. I think I took 400 MG with my last healthy pregnancy. Someone on here suggested I ask for 400 also. I guess tonight I'll just have to take 2 tablets.

I took follistim, ganirelix, and ovidrel injections. I am now on estrace and prometrium tablets. I spent close to $1100 on medications alone. My insurance does not cover any meds. I did not notice any s/e, not even bruising. I developed 6 follicles. By day of ovulation, I lost 1 follicle due to being too small, the other 5 were as follows: 24, 22, 20, 17, and 14. I will find out next Friday if it worked. I did have to go to the doctor a lot more than with clomid.

As a preventative measure, my RE prescribed prometrium for me. I was a little squeamish about taking the suppositories so I received the tablet form. I need to take 2 tablets 3x a day. I'm looking at the bottle right now and I'm a feeling anxious about it. I'm worried about the possible side affects. I'm scared about fooling around with my hormone levels. Please, please tell me I'm being silly.

Hey ladies Just a quick question- can anyone share their experiences with PIO vs. vaginal tablets. My RE says success rates are the same and I can choose. I will totally go with the tabs if they are just as good. But I didn't come this far to let something like a shot (granted I hear it is the worst) hold me back. Any thoughts?

Since my progesterone was low during a miscarriage, my RE has me take it two days after ovulation until I got my period. I took two pills at bedtime because they make me sleepy and a little silly. Then I would just start the cycle again. It didn't matter if it was a medicated cycle or on our own. I didn't have to see him in between if we didn't want to. The difference is that I had prometrium prescribed that I took orally.

You should call your nurse and ask her about the stain. Originally my doctor said i would be on progesterone for 8 weeks but I only ended up taking the progesterone shots and suppositories from 2/20 - 3/12. My levels were high enough that I was able to switch from shots to pills. I'm now taking ESTRADIOL 2MG TABLETS (2x a day) and PROMETRIUM 200MG (3x day). It seems to be working. I now only have blood draws every 2 weeks.

I've been doing some research on prometrium . I was prescribed prometrium since the month of Feb. In Feb.,I ovulated with the help of clomid and prometrium. My progesterone levels were 34. In March my cycle never came and I contacted my Dr on Apr. 9 letting her know I never had my cycle. She schedule me to take some test to take . On 14 my cycle visited and was very weird . her instructions for the prometrium is to take on cycle day 16 and continue to take until a cycle comes.

Now I am on 2 tablets of 2mg Estrace and 1progesterone suppository in the morning, noon and evening. Now I feel a lot of lower back pain and dizzy all the time. I had 2 ectopics already. therefore I am very scared. Can anyone gone throuth this type of experience tell me what these syptoms tell? thanks.

Does anyone know if you're taking Prometrium, and you are miscarrying, can the prometrium prevent any sign of the m/c ? i.e. can it prevent spotting/bleeding/cramping , or will the m/c go through anyway.?

He gave me the tablets and put me on bedrest with only bathroom privileges. Yeah I'll have to call to make sure. I'm so nervous to take it even though it'll keep my baby inside longer and keep him alive!

Yes, Prometrium does delay your AF. First time when i was on prometrium, i didn't get my AF until CD40.

I was in prometrium 200mg once a day with my 3rd pregnancy..and still i m/c at 17&1/2 weeks.. and i stopped taking the prometrium at my 15&1/2weeks( i should only take them for 12 weeks, but my dr told me to continued the left pills..) still don't know the reason why,, if it's bec. i stopped taking the progesterone supplement or there is some thing else..

I am supposed to stop my prometrium when I'm 10w which is this thursday, but I have read that some people have miscarried because ur body is not making enough progesterone of its own. I been trying to get preggo for almost 4 yrs and to miscarried now would be devestating. I have also heard that if ur preggo with twins which I am its good to keep taking the prometrium to minimize the chances of premature labor.

Anyway, I had started prometrium 100mg 2x a day 5 dpo. Since BFN this month I am wondering if the prometrium will have screwed things up for next month? Doesn't it prevent o? I stopped taking it last nite, but I hope that its not to late and I'll still be able to get a BFP next month.

I got mine the next day, as soon as I stopped prometrium I started spotting and the next day I got my AF.

I have had 3 past m/c, but 3 healthy children since the last one. I found out Thurs. I was pregnant. I called my ob. He started me on Prometrium 200 mg vaginally per day. I started that Friday night. Sat. afternoon I had some brown spotting. Was checked at ER and everything ok. hcg was 17-they said was very early.They also checked my progesterone level. Sat. night late had heavier red bleeding like period. Went back to ER they said was m/c most likely.

The doctor prescribed prometrium for her. She is scared to death to take the medication because it has a strong warning on the label "DO NOT TAKE IF PREGNANT OR ANTICIPATE GETTING PREGNANT. Why would the doctor prescribe prometrium if the twin is OK at this time?

m wondering though if provera is essentially the same as Prometrium? I know Prometrium is more of a natural progesterone and Provera is synthetic, but I have already done 10 days of prometrium and no period came. Ugh...so frustrating! I have not been diagnosed, but I have heard of Metformin. Of the symptoms of PCOS, the only one I have is the absense of a cycle. I will for sure ask about it...it's worth a shot!

I am on 200 mg prometrium /5 mg estradiol, and metformin as well as tirosint. The prometrium and estradiol is for hot flashes. The metformin for prediabetes, couldn't get my a1c down, and tirosint for thyroid disease. My question is this...the prometrium and estradiol are causing my blood sugars to stay high, as well as make me very tired, as well as making me gain weight. I walk briskly at least 1 hour to 1 1/2 hour daily. I watch what I eat, low sugars, etc.

I've been taking prometrium vaginally twice daily for 13 days now (started the day after my IUI) and on day 10, I started noticing a headache, a dull gnawing sensation on both sides of my head. It is day 14 of prometrium now (CD32) and I am still feeling this. If I bend over to pick up something it hurts even more.
