My ob/gyn has put me on Prometrium to help regulate my menstrual cycle. My husband and I are trying to concieve our second child. With my first child I was put on prometrium for the first trimester due to low progesterone levels. This month I thought there was a chance I was pregnant and he told me instead of taking it days 16-25 I should remain on it until I know for sure if I am pregnant. I still have not gotten my period, and I am 3 days late.
They said since they switched, and have started using the prometrium, their success rates have skyrocked and success rates have went through the roof!!!! I also take estrace 10mg a day and a baby asprin to help thicken the uterus.

I have been TTC for 1 year and 1/2. I have had 2 miscarriages, both at around 6 weeks. I was transfered to a fertility clinic late last year. The fertility doc wants me to take 400g of prometrium from 4dpo to 13dpo. He says it doesn't matter whether I'm pregnant or not as the progesterone only helps during implantation and according to him stopping if I am pregnant will not have a negative effect as a valid pregnancy will generate enough progesterone on its own.
2 days again I had to inject myself with Ovidrel 2 days ago and need tomorrow in need to add Prometrium to me. Has anyone use these and gotten success?
So I have taken 5 rounds of clomid with each round preceded by prometrium to induce af. on my last cycle af never came, apparently my lining was too thin to have af. my doc wanted to put me on bc for a month to build up my lining but I can't take birth control (the high estrogen makes me grow precancerous lumps in my breasts). So she put me on flaxseed oil, she said it is a plant estrogen which might help with my lining. Has anyone done this?? Did it work?
Maybe I will ask him to add prometrium in addition to crinone. Originally he had prescribed only prometrium but it was a vaginal suppository. I did not know you can get those in pills, maybe I should ask for that

Anyone have experience with progesterone replacement and successful pregnancies? Anyone have any statistics on success rate with progesterone replacement? I had spotting x1 day and this stopped on progesterone. Is this a good sign?
hi everyone i have a question for you guyes i am trying to get pregnent and my doctor give me 100 mg clomid day 3 to 7 i ask her to low dose she said thats not too much and she also give me estrodial and prometrium estrodial day 8 to 13 prometrium day 17 to28 i am using clear blue easy digital ovulation kit today is day 12 on my period i am taking early morning test can any one tell me when to cheak please help me this is my first round and i also have a very regular period
I've been doing some research on prometrium . I was prescribed prometrium since the month of Feb. In Feb.,I ovulated with the help of clomid and prometrium. My progesterone levels were 34. In March my cycle never came and I contacted my Dr on Apr. 9 letting her know I never had my cycle. She schedule me to take some test to take . On 14 my cycle visited and was very weird . her instructions for the prometrium is to take on cycle day 16 and continue to take until a cycle comes.
I am currently taking Prometrium twice a day to supplement a drop in progesterone early in my pregnancy. I am already at 13 weeks, have heard a heartbeat and seen the baby in utero doing well. My doc said that it is safe to discontinue the use of the Prometrium at this time. Just wondering what others' experiences were with progesterone supplementation. I am so nervous to stop supplementing!

I anyway miscarried. I was referred to a reproductive endocrinologist. He checked for genetic disorders in both me and my husband. He did the clomid challenge test , checked for abnormalities in the uterine wall , checked thyroid level , blood sugar. Everything came back normal.

I was put on Metformin 1500 mg and Prometrium 200 mg. There was no success on just that so I was then put on the clomid, estradiol and progesterone cream. I really pray for a postitive soon!! Good luck to all you that are trying. It is a very hard process but I know I will have a good outcome and it will all be worth it one day!!!
I was in prometrium 200mg once a day with my 3rd pregnancy..and still i m/c at 17&1/2 weeks.. and i stopped taking the prometrium at my 15&1/2weeks( i should only take them for 12 weeks, but my dr told me to continued the left pills..) still don't know the reason why,, if it's bec. i stopped taking the progesterone supplement or there is some thing else..
I am supposed to stop my prometrium when I'm 10w which is this thursday, but I have read that some people have miscarried because ur body is not making enough progesterone of its own. I been trying to get preggo for almost 4 yrs and to miscarried now would be devestating. I have also heard that if ur preggo with twins which I am its good to keep taking the prometrium to minimize the chances of premature labor.
I got mine the next day, as soon as I stopped prometrium I started spotting and the next day I got my AF.
I ovulate on my own however I have had 2 miscarriages within 6months. So the doc decided to put me on Clomid 50mg cycle day 3-5 and Prometrium 200mg starting cycle day 18. I have pelvic pain that starts usually around Cycle day 17 and last for about a week. This makes my 2nd cycle on the Clomid so far. I usually have no trouble getting pregnant it's just staying that way, we are thinking we need better egg quality so that's why we added the Clomid.
I have had 3 past m/c, but 3 healthy children since the last one. I found out Thurs. I was pregnant. I called my ob. He started me on Prometrium 200 mg vaginally per day. I started that Friday night. Sat. afternoon I had some brown spotting. Was checked at ER and everything ok. hcg was 17-they said was very early.They also checked my progesterone level. Sat. night late had heavier red bleeding like period. Went back to ER they said was m/c most likely.
