1145751 tn?1262133453 Ok so I got these Prometrium capsules and it states on the package insert that these capsules are oral capsule. My OB's direction is to insert it vaginally as a suppository. Im concerned because the capsules outside gel is pretty thick. I just dont want to keep shoving these things in me and it not dissolve. Has anyone used oral capsules as suppository?
13495566 tn?1431029924 Does anybody have the package insert that comes with HARVONI- section 8.7 -says not proven to help cirrhosis. That is one of my denial reasons--I don't know if it says that. Trying to find out.
Avatar f tn I switched from a RE in Czech Republic who did my IVF and supplied my progesterone- vaginal suppositories, to a local OBGYN who gave me a further prescription for progesterone in the form of prometrium capsules (the little pink 100mg balls). My prescription says to be taken vaginally, but the info leaflet says to be taken orally. Can you take the same capsule either orally or vaginally as a suppository?
1318306 tn?1276180824 m taking Prometrium vaginally. When should I use the prometrium before or after. Should he wear a condom. Will the prometrium do anything to him? anyone have any advice.
Avatar f tn My RE put me on Crinone gel 8% after my iui--it says on the package that it's 90 mg of progesterone. Does this seem low? Before (with a different dr) I was on 400 prometrium and then switched to 800 mg compounded progesterone in a vaginal suppository. Are the dosages somehow different or am I getting 1/8 what I was before?
1416390 tn?1333901604 having a little issue during the day with gel cap sliding out (or part of it sliding out) when I am active- or it falling into the toilet. hope this is not tmi! I try to insert it as close to my cervix as I can. The coating is slick. I am concerned I am not getting enough progesterone into my system. Any suggestions.
Avatar f tn All medications come with something called a 'package insert' which has labeling that includes any risks. Did you tell your doctor that you are expecting? I would just call the office to be safe and tell them you are pregnant and want to know if the antibiotic prescribed for you is safe during pregnancy.
1169053 tn?1278116232 I am 2 dpiui and have been instructed to decrease estrace to 2mg tablet once daily and to add prometrium once daily. My question is, can I insert them at the same time or should I be doing the estrace in the morning and prometrium at night? I called and left a message with my RE but I haven't heard back! On a side note, for those of you who have used baby aspririn, do you know when you should stop using it?
440684 tn?1204742363 0 or lower your at risk for a preterm delivery. I am measuring 2.2. So she started me on Prometrium that I insert vaginally every night. Has anyone else had to use this and what are the effects? Did it stop your shortening of the cervix? It doesnt effect the baby at all, right??
Avatar n tn I do have the insert at home. It said if there were NO lines it was inconclusive, but nothing about a line in the circle and nothing in the oval. The way it reads, for it to be positive, there should be a line in each opening. I will be taking another one tonight, hoping it is more conclusive. thanx!
Avatar f tn Yes, I read the insert. So your saying that its accurate rite?
175665 tn?1306459024 Is anyone here on Prometrium now or used it in the past? I have had 6 miscarriages in the past, most recent one was twins Christmas Day. I just got a BFP Saturday night and went and had my 1st Beta drawn this morning as well as my progesterone level. Well we are expecting horrible weather, ice and up to 20 inches of snow, so my OB's office decided to close at 2:30 this afternoon and for will be closed tomorrow, possible the rest of the week.
1582478 tn?1296591223 Hi hun first what metformin does is regulates your hormone levels which for some women helps you start you period and in time helps with ovulation! So yes metformin will help you get pregnant!! In fact if you read the package insert it says to use protection if you don't want to be pregnant. Recent studies show that metformin alone is just as effective over time at inducing ovulation as clomid and metformin combined.
Avatar n tn They all come with a patient package insert that explains it. If your pack no longer has that insert, you can ask your pharmacist. Most require you to use them for 7 days before considering yourself safely protected.
Avatar n tn If you can't get suppositories for that, you can get some comprozine suppositories for nausea. Can you try taking your medicine in any kind of food? Sorry for my spelling!
652899 tn?1284047173 I am on Prometrium 100 mg suppositories used once a day at betime. I start this 2 days after IUI. Good Luck!
422823 tn?1229736847 I took 100mg for one cycle (BFN) and the dr upped it to 200mg - on the third cycle - I got pregnant. I took it before I went to bed b/c of the side effects until I was in my 13th week. I'm now 30 weeks - I'd say, 'what could it hurt'?! I had two miscarriages and they ran a bunch of tests and found I have a blood clotting issue. So when we started TTC again I was told to take baby aspirin and prometrium.
Avatar m tn These are not listed on the package insert, but I note from Dailymed.com Viread did cause fever in clinical trials (i.e., Truvada is a combo of Viread and Emtriva).
Avatar f tn I actually am continuing the progestesterone but I cut back a little with only ONE vaginal insert a day and still the prometrium every night. I'm goin to up it to the normal again to see what happens. I was also eating peanut butter every day recently in my oatmeal for the protein and maybe to much of the peanut oil was causing an elergic reaction which is also found in the prometrium. Hopefully thats all it was!
Avatar m tn I would look up the package insert online because they are all available online. That's what any doctor or pharmacist would be looking at if you asked them.
Avatar f tn Your chances are slim to none of being pregnant. Taking plan will cause disruptions in your cycle, it says skin the package insert. Taking it on top of all the other meds you're taking will surely disrupt your cycle even more. I wouldn't think twice about it. I'd be more concerned that the plan B messed with your thyroid levels or caused some issue with the effectiveness of your PCOS meds because that is much more likely.
Avatar f tn My doctor put me on Prometrium 200mg. Has anyone else had to take it too? When I looked it up there was a lot of info for women in menapause. Very confusing. Does anyone know what it to help you with if you are expecting?
Avatar n tn As far as the package insert, there is no indication that this would be in any way harmful to a fetus. I would not be concerned.
Avatar m tn I haven't used detartrine myself but according to the package insert, the 150 RDA does not erode enamel and there is no contraindication for use in sensitivity patients. The only contraindication is allergy to the material. Try using some sensitivity toothpaste to see if it helps.
