Did not take Prometrium the night before due to being told I was having m/c. I called my OB Sunday. He said to keep taking the Prometrium and have my hcg rechecked Monday. I did. Monday my hcg was 44. My bleeding was only light spotting by then. My Doctor said I was still pregnant-could be tubal, molar, or normal. He did not know. He said Progesterone levels taken previous Saturday would tell if it was tubal or molar. Monday night my bleeding became heavier and red like period again.
m taking 200mg/day of Prometrium). The nurse who called with the results said they were fine. I think the hcg seems kind of low. With my last pregnancy at 15 dpo my hcg was 269. Any opinions? I am worried. Thank you.
I too am on prometrium, and we are watching my hcg closely because the numbers are low, although they are doubling every 72 hours (minimal requirement). I started spotting Sunday night and it went from brown to some pink on Monday morning. My hcg is still climbing so he upped my dose of prometrium (up to 3 x at 200 mg now). The spotting has lessened quite a bit and is mostly brown now, but it's still there. It's been about 44 hours since I took the first extra dose of prometrium.
Now i did miss about 2 or 3 does of the prometrium since the first test but the hcg is high and going up so why would the beta drop? could this be from missing those few doses? I'm super worried and has any other women experienced this that has been on prometrium?.
Thank you so much that gives me some reassurance. They are happy because my HCG went way up. With the previous pregnancy my HCG went up slower which was due to the blighted ovum. I'm just very nervous and scared. The doctor said that they are hopeful that the prometrium will take care of the problem I have not had any bleeding or anything like that so that also makes me feel better. They are waiting to draw my blood until Oct 6 when I go to my ob appointment with the nurse.
When I found out my HCG level on the 3rd, I was told to up the dosage of prometrium from 100mg to 200mg. When my HCG level dropped, I was told to stop the prometrium due to the impending miscarriage. I go for an ultrasound on the 8th, but, at this point, I am in the process of having a miscarriage. I passed some tissue earlier this afternoon and have had the spotting turn to bleeding, which has been pretty consistent. I am pretty much just numb at this point....
I am now pregnant and doc is concerned with low hcg/progesterone levels. I have cycles that last 33-35 days, always an extra week in bewtween. Tomorrow I will know results of the second HCG and progesterone test. I am so worried. I have symptoms, but the doctor has a presription for prometrium on hold for me awaiting these results. Any thoughts??
m only 4 weeks 2 days and progesterone level was 16.11 they want above 20 and hcg was 295... Now they called and prescribed promethium 4x a day and I pray to god that this helps!! I'm glad to see I'm finally getting the help I knew inside I needed but still it's so scary... Any advice from someone that's used it?

Also, does anyone here use progesterone supp? I will be starting tomorrow 2x a day. Could you please advice as to what to do and not to do while on it? Please share tips. It will be highly appreciated.
Because I had a miscarriage last year. They put me on prometrium. As soon as I found out I was pregnant. I went to get my HCG and progesteron checked. it was HCG 130 and progesterone 45.8 which is good. But they put me on it just in case. I started seeing a new doctor now and she she is sending me to a specialist for the medicine to see if I really need to keep taking the medication, because it could be harmful to a developing fetus. My appointment is Friday.
215 progesterone:23.5. Then on Feb 10 they were HCG: 1850 progesterone and 32.5 and yesterday Feb 14 they were hcg: 8880 progesterone: 28.5. My doctor called today and put me on the prometrium capsule in the morning as well. Is it normal for progesterone to fluctuate like this.. My doctor likes to see it above 35.. On the most recent blood test my doctor told me my hcg was rising, but my progesterone was had dropped from 12 to , 9 and then 7. I am really worried now. I went in for an ultra sound and they a saw sac but no fetal pole yet. The nurse said I am at where should be at 5 weeks, but I just have to wait and see. My doctor prescribed 200 mg of prometrium once a day. I am miscarrying. Any Answers Would help thank you.

While taking Prometrium for luteal phase defect, I got several faint positives on home pregnancy tests. But then I began bleeding (light but steady full flow). So I stopped taking the prometrium. I've been bleeding for a few days now--still more than spotting though less than before. But I decided to take another home pregnancy test anyways because something felt funny. Two different brands of test were positive, darker than before but still quite faint. What do I do now?
My HCG was low normal and progesterone very low at 4 weeks. My doctor prescribed progesterone. My HCG has increased minimally after 2 days, but the progesterone has normalized. Anyone have experience with progesterone replacement and successful pregnancies? Anyone have any statistics on success rate with progesterone replacement? I had spotting x1 day and this stopped on progesterone. Is this a good sign?
