I usually have 24 to 25 day cycle and it was never late except when I was on prometrium to cure LPD. I feel it unsual.. Has this happened to any one of you ??
yes it is possible..but then u have a LPD problem..u must have minimum 9-12 days after ur period for implantation to take place..in 6 days period implantation process can';t be completed....watch out ur cycles and see if u always have 6 days after u O till ur next cycle..
B complex vitamin supllement helps with LPD problem..
I used BC pills (Ortotricyclin) for about 8 years. Then we stopped and started TTC. We tried for almost 1 year and then went to our doctor. He did blood work and put me on Clomid (50 mg). At that time he said my pregestrone was low...and was didn't think I was ovulating. After 5 months of Clomid, he referred me to a RE. We tried 3 rounds of IUI with no luck. The RE said that we had undetermined infertility. So, after the 3 IUI, they suggested IVF. That was a year ago.
My Dr has prescribed Prometrium 200mgs to be taken for the 1st 5 days of my next period. Everything I have read about this is that it is usually prescribed for 10 days before your period, so I am confused. Also, he mentioned that Prometrium will help protect me from endometrial cancer and possibly breast cancer. I read that it may increase the risk of breast cancer so I am totally confused.
Can someone help and offer advice? I am going for a 2nd opinion in December with another Ob/Gyn.
I'm a 43yo female. Prior history of cancer. Over 20 years ago. I am a medical mess..i.e. connective tissue disease, fibromyalgia, sjogrens, AIED, stage 3 renal failure... I'm also on methotrexate. I've had a axillary (armpit) lump for 2 months. Non painful, but I've noticed my shoulder is starting to hurt. I'm always tired..like can't make it 3 more more hrs without a rest. I used to be a runner. I've lost 25% of my body weight in 3 months. Went to Dr.
Everything is going great. I am on baby aspirin a day and 200mg 2x prometrium. its working for me! progesterone does an amazing job at holding pregnancies, and the baby asprin is to thin you blood so more goes to the uterus. This can also help if you have a blood clotting issue. i have never been tested for anything but i wanted to try 1 more time first with these medicines and i believe its really helping me.
I've been doing some research on prometrium . I was prescribed prometrium since the month of Feb. In Feb.,I ovulated with the help of clomid and prometrium. My progesterone levels were 34. In March my cycle never came and I contacted my Dr on Apr. 9 letting her know I never had my cycle. She schedule me to take some test to take . On 14 my cycle visited and was very weird . her instructions for the prometrium is to take on cycle day 16 and continue to take until a cycle comes.
I have been on prometrium for 6 months and have found it has helped me sleep as well as with the hot flashes, I take 200mg before I go to bed. The doctor suggested I try cutting it back to 100mg but the insomnia came back so I am back on the higher dose. I now just get the odd night sweat and hardly any hot flashes during the day. It took about three weeks for it to work for me so it's probably worth sticking with.
I was in prometrium 200mg once a day with my 3rd pregnancy..and still i m/c at 17&1/2 weeks.. and i stopped taking the prometrium at my 15&1/2weeks( i should only take them for 12 weeks, but my dr told me to continued the left pills..) still don't know the reason why,, if it's bec. i stopped taking the progesterone supplement or there is some thing else..
I do not know what to give you advise, but the best is call your doctor and ask for their opinion. I think if prometrium helps, then dr will keep you on the med.

I am on 200 mg prometrium /5 mg estradiol, and metformin as well as tirosint. The prometrium and estradiol is for hot flashes. The metformin for prediabetes, couldn't get my a1c down, and tirosint for thyroid disease. My question is this...the prometrium and estradiol are causing my blood sugars to stay high, as well as make me very tired, as well as making me gain weight. I walk briskly at least 1 hour to 1 1/2 hour daily. I watch what I eat, low sugars, etc.
I have had 3 past m/c, but 3 healthy children since the last one. I found out Thurs. I was pregnant. I called my ob. He started me on Prometrium 200 mg vaginally per day. I started that Friday night. Sat. afternoon I had some brown spotting. Was checked at ER and everything ok. hcg was 17-they said was very early.They also checked my progesterone level. Sat. night late had heavier red bleeding like period. Went back to ER they said was m/c most likely.
