I'm taking it twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. 200mg. I take it with food so it won't make nauseated. My doctor put me on it to stop my bleeding and since I've been on it I've had none. I only have to take it for 2 more weeks I think. 5 weeks total. My doctor said it was completely safe. And it stopped my problem. So I'm not worried.

I was on prometrium (progesterone) vaginally 2 months ago and was fine! It was messy that's for sure..so use a panty liner but as far as side effects from it the only thing I had was I was REALLY tired all the time. I'm not sure about your panic attacks and what not but if you were wondering about the side effects from the medicine, that's all I had personally. I don't think having panic attacks and or anxiety can be caused from progesterone problems.

HI everyone I am 3 weeks pregnant and my doctor said my progesterone levels are low and prescribed Prometrium for me to take vaginally until I am 10 weeks pregnant, I am worried because I read up on the drug and there seem to be some serious side effects. Hi there. I was on Prometrium this past cycle and I thought that it was going to delay my period. However, my AF still came on the day it was supposed to while I was on Prometrium. I took it for one more day but I suppose my AF had its own mind and still continued so I stopped at CD2 when I tested BFN. Guess it differs for each one of us.

put me on 10 days of Prometrium. I had few side effects, fatigue, dizziness and some nausea. After the 10 days on the pill I am supposed to get my period and on day 3 of normal mentration return to the clinic for lab work to diagnose polycystic ovaries. It's been 7 days and no period yet. My breasts hurt and I'm nausous now that I'm NOT taking Prometrium. Wondering if these are normal post medication symptoms or if I might actually be pregnant.

Ladies were any of you were/are on Prometrium. I was on it since week 6 till week 15. I am so concerned about it leaving any effects on fetus. Does anyone know anything about it?

My doctor put me on Prometrium 200mg. Has anyone else had to take it too? When I looked it up there was a lot of info for women in menapause. Very confusing. Does anyone know what it to help you with if you are expecting?

Hi! I just found out that I'm pregnant this week.I estimated that I'm around 4 weeks along. I want to be excited but my last three pregnancies ended in miscarriage. Is there anyone out there that's gone through several miscarriages and went on to have a healthy baby? Just need some encouragement right now.

t give you any advice, my prometrium is oral. Maybe post on the mail forum because I know several women on here use the suppositories.

So I called and talked to the NP on call and she talked to the on call doctor and they decided to call in a script for Prometrium to be on the safe side. I have never used this before and was just wondering from experienced users. I am not sure how far along I am yet, I m/c 5w2d ago, didn't get AF and I have no idea when I O'd because I had NO signs of it. So I know I am early in the game so this is good. Hace you had good experiences with this? Any side effects?

thanks. I was thinking back and i think the first 2 days I took it it did make me feel a bit ill (I think I posted about it back then) but then it was like I wasn't even taking anything...felt just fine. Who knows. But I still feel like yuck.

-( The doc now has me on 5 days of prometrium, I think to facilitate a period and start the whole process over. Anyone know about prometrium being used to facilitate a period? How many days later should it start? Any side effects? Thanks for the help.

The side affects are pretty bad it sux that my dr didnt tell me about any alternative before i took this, if i have to go on it again i will be asking for the prometrium, thanks BabyKat2009.

I pretty much knew on my own I had low progesterone from my last miscarriage in July and because they wouldn't prescribe anything until more bloodwork the next time I was pregnant I took matters into my own hands a little and decided to use progesterone cream as I had read a lot about it and saw the positive effects... Most likely the reason I've held onto this one so far I'm only 4 weeks 2 days and progesterone level was 16.11 they want above 20 and hcg was 295...

I have been spotting since the 22nd and been on prometrium since the 28th. So you will still bleed on prometrium. Is this sound clear? I'm listening (haha) to my husband while I'm typing!

I haven't used prometrium yet, but am scheduled to after my IUI next week. How many mg's are yall on? I think i'm scheduled to take 200mg vag suppository at bedtime, sounds like most people are on more than that, should i ask to do it twice a day>??? Did yall have any side effects from it? I currently start taking prometrium right after ovulation. For those of you that took baby asprin, I am wondering if you took it just after ovulation, or waited until you knew you were pregnant. I ovulated this week, so I don't want to hold off taking it until I see her if I should be starting it right away. My old OB wasn't very clear on the "when to start".

I am in the same boat as the original poster. I have been taking prometrium vaginally the day after IUI which was on May 25th and i have started headaches today....

I think it did delay when my period started but not that I would get it. Also - the side effects of prometrium are the same as implantation bleeding and PMS - drove me super nuts. I would have sworn I wasn't pregnant the third go round with prometrium but in fact I was - due to deliver in July. Good luck.

t know anything about if this is normal... side effects, etc.? I decided to wait to not take it at this time and go back on Friday and see if there is any changes for the better without taking it. Is this carless or cautious? I would like to know if any one has had problems because they have NOT taken any progestrone so early on. Besides that all symptoms have been normal. Light cramping, brest tenderness, slight fatigue, no morning sickness yet though. Thank you.

Hi everyone, I haven't been on in like 5 months. If you don't know me, my husband and I have been trying to have a baby for over two years. I haven't been on because we stopped trying for a little while. But I'm back. This is something I want so bad I can taste it. I'm not ovulating and my OB won't give me anything to induce it. I'm on provera which is supposed to induce my period and that isn't working either.

you can use prometrium or provera they both induce af. the side effects of prometrium are horrible, i have never taken provera but i have heard good things. you might want to start tracking your bbt to see if you are ovulating.

I was in prometrium 200mg once a day with my 3rd pregnancy..and still i m/c at 17&1/2 weeks.. and i stopped taking the prometrium at my 15&1/2weeks( i should only take them for 12 weeks, but my dr told me to continued the left pills..) still don't know the reason why,, if it's bec. i stopped taking the progesterone supplement or there is some thing else..
