I took it through the first trimester and my baby was/is fine (11 months old now). I also took 200mg prometrium and probably 3g of folic acid. What I read was that synthetic progesterone is what is not safe during pregnancy but prometrium is the natural form and it is safe for pregnant women.

I had 2 miscarriages in the past and with this one i went on prometrium and baby aspirin although nothing was ever diagnosed either. i did not experience any bleeding as a side effect of the prometrium though. have you had a scan yet?

My friend had the same issues as you and she took prometrium (progesterone) and baby aspirin and it worked. They couldn't figure out what her issue was. In her mind she was thinking both m/c were boys and something was up with the boys. Whose to say but the pills worked for her.

A friend of a friend has a similar story- no success - started baby aspirin and bingo - healthy baby. I wish you the same success!

hi amanda, I took 81mg of baby aspirin all while attempting IUI and during IVF. it is very low dose,and improves blood flow keeping things moving and free from clots, it is perfectly safe to take before and after O.

ve been taking both progesterone and baby aspirin since the beginning of my pregnancy. Conceived by IUI and had used the progesterone for the two weeks after each procedure (the 6th one worked). Then when in bad my positive test, doc said to start baby aspirin and stay on progesterone until 12 weeks. I'm just past 12 weeks now, 38 and first pregnancy, no history of mc or low levels of anything - I think she just put me on both as a good insurance plan.

I took 100mg for one cycle (BFN) and the dr upped it to 200mg - on the third cycle - I got pregnant. I took it before I went to bed b/c of the side effects until I was in my 13th week. I'm so sory for your loss. I'm suffering multiple micarriages as well ( 8 times). All of them were unexplained early miscarriages , until I found out after the seventh miscarriage that I have a blood clotting disorder called Factor V Leiden. That factor causes blood clotting so blood doesn't reach the fetus and miscarriage happens! I was on blood thinners during the eighth pregnancy but unfortunately miscarried too ! I anyway miscarried. I was referred to a reproductive endocrinologist. He checked for genetic disorders in both me and my husband. He did the clomid challenge test , checked for abnormalities in the uterine wall , checked thyroid level , blood sugar. Everything came back normal.

I got preg in March and they started me on progestrone and baby aspirin. I am 10wks on Mon with a healthy baby. I am watched closely w/blood wk and u/s every other week but I dont care as long as this baby is HEALTHY. I pray this is it and I carry this baby full term....its is the farthest Ive been in a pregnancy to date.

m always very sleepy after taking prometrium even though i take it vaginally. I think is like a side effect along with diziness and headeches.

Crinone vaginal gel, intramuscular progesterone, and Prometrium capsules are natural progesterone preparations which are safe to use during pregnancy. In woman with recurrent pregnancy loss heparin and baby aspirin are helpful to keep open the blood vessels in the placenta. Steroids may also be helpful since they act by inhibiting the cellular immune response. The duration of treatment depends on your particular situation.

You could have a blood clotting disorder that is causing you to miscarry. Baby aspirin should help, perhaps along with Prometrium. Other than that it's a waiting game. Backache does not always signify a problem but because of your history I'd definitely call the doctor and start getting those betas done.

400mg prometrium and 1 baby aspirin a day worked for me. But this won't work for everyone. They are 2 different treatments for very common problems. Good luck.

Now that you mention it I did on my last IUI cycle but I have no idea why. What meds are you on? I was on Metformin, Prometrium, Prenatals and Baby Aspirin.

have you also been taking an 81mg of baby aspirin to help thin the blood? i am on pros supps and the baby aspirin to help prevent MC. what is the chance that you could ahve ovulated later than you thought? are you an average 28 day cycle or do you vary?

In testing done this summer (after two miscarriages and a break down in my regular doctor's office that spawned a referral to a specialist...) it was found I have a blood clotting issue - and baby aspirin is the treatment. It was our third round on baby aspirin and prometrium that worked - I'm not at 17 weeks and doing just fine. The two cycles that I didn't get pregnant when I was on the aspirin - my periods were normal from what I can remember.

i was on the lovenox injections til 20 wks, am off of that now and just take a baby aspirin daily. he said my case wasnt one of the better ones and that my danger zone would have been up to 16 wks. im thrilled to say im almost 30 wks preg with my first and last lil girl!! i dont know anything about endo nor did i ever have any issues getting preg but there is hope- hang in there!! feel free to ask any ques if you have any.

Last monday I have ET done,My fertility docotr put me on prednisone ,baby aspirin ,prometrium and supposotries and Iam waiting for 7 days.I am right now so scared that it will happen to me again.Has anyone had this experienced.Please help.

Great idea on the baby aspirin! I was thinking about that this morning actually. But here's my dilemma with that. I have a peptic ulcer. So my GI dr would never permit me to take even a baby aspirin. But I'm thinking of taking one a day any way because this is so important. They make a kind that has an enteric-coating. I guess that would be better and might get past my stomach and into my intestines before dissolving, so it might not aggravate my ulcer.

Everything is going great. I am on baby aspirin a day and 200mg 2x prometrium. its working for me! progesterone does an amazing job at holding pregnancies, and the baby asprin is to thin you blood so more goes to the uterus. This can also help if you have a blood clotting issue. i have never been tested for anything but i wanted to try 1 more time first with these medicines and i believe its really helping me.

To be on the safe side my doc prescribed me prometrium and said to take a baby aspirin everyday until we see a strong heartbeat . Last night , I took my first pill last night at 8:30 . Around 9:00 - 9:30 I started getting really itchy eyes . I got to thinking maybe I'm allergic . I talked to the nurse and she said that I should stop it . Thinking back my eyes were bothering me cause I was deep frying for dinner , it always burns my eyes for some reason .

I pray to God that my husband of 11 months and I have a baby together some day so I will try the baby aspirin and the progesterone and see what the outcome will be....again I am very happy for you (tearing up as I type) and I dont even know you but that is just how my heart is...........again thank you for sharing, now I am encouraged to at least try again because I was just gonna wait until next year or maybe the year after but my husband wants to keep trying so I pray that this will help.....
