prometrium and vitex

I had really low progesterone and was taking Prometrium with no results. Then I added maca in addition to the Prometrium and my progesterone was completely normal. Vitex is great for balancing hormones, too. I have the liquid tincture thing. I should be doing it 2-3 times a day (I think 1-2 ml). I think it's supposed to help with ovulation, too. I think I once heard it called the natural Clomid. Both maca and Vitex are adaptogens, so they're not actually hormones.

5 mg day 3-7, followed by overlap Gonal F 150 units day 6-10, IUI April 25 and 26 (Sunday, Monday) and about to start Prometrium tonight. My Beta is on May 9th. Good luck to everyone! Here's hoping to keeping each other sane and a BFP soon!

I thought about vitex, but did research and decided against it. I have regular cycles and ovulate, so I'm worried it would mess up my cycles. I am on progesterone...I've had 3 m/c and low progesterone with all, tho probably more of an egg issue I'd assume bc of my age.

t the best thing to wake in the morning testing and thinking about where it should be or not. Try and relaxe and stop for a month or two.

hi there, curious to know about peoples experiences with using b6 to lengthen luteal phase. how did you use it and what were the results? did you find it helpful and would you recommend it? i've got a complex here that i'm planning on taking but would love to hear about everyones experiences. my last luteal phase was 10 days. i have one child and have had 2 miscarriages. and am having difficulty getting pregnant again. thanks!

I have been on BC pills and Prometrium (progesterone) several times to induce a period. one or the other has always worked and then on Clomid to ovulate. BC pills last month induced a bleed, but was very light and then I didn't ovulate. So I just finished prometrium, had a normal period and hoping that this cycle of Clomid will do the trick! it is super frustrating, but it has worked for me in the past. I wish you all the luck and I would talk to your dr.

t thrilled to learn I had started using a cream, and she prescribed oral Prometrium after my first appt, which I took through week 13 of pregnancy. Just for the record, I'm not advocating doing anything without a Dr's supervision; I'm just telling you what I did. ;-) If you went the official route through your OB/GYN, if you explain your concern and give them reason to believe you may have LPD, I think they would test your progesterone levels at Day 21 of your cycle.

I am taking macaroot and vitex per the suggestion of another member. I have been taking them since late April. No success yet, but I have heard lots of good stuff about both.

I get my period so randomly that it feels impossible for me to get pregnant. I just went 7 months and finally got it. I took Fertilaid after 5 months of no AF and after 2 bottles/ 2 months it came which was the 7 months. I skip anywhere between 2 and 9 months of getting AF. I hate it but I have become hopeless with my situation and trying over and over and over again. I stopped taking the pills but I think I might start again.

There are a couple of other natural things that are supposed to help balance hormone levels and thereby boost progesterone levels. Vitex and maca root. For me I noticed the most help from maca root. I spent 3 months starting first w/progesterone cream (which did nothing), then Prometrium (by itself did nothing at that point), then progesterone suppositories (also didn't help). P levels kept being between 4-6 at seven DPO.

And have become pregnant 2 times, once resulting in a Tubal and a miscarriage and so i read on line about Vitex and decided to give it a try and stick to it and see and document my progress and this is what I have come up with. Not only has it helped shorten my period went from 8-9 days down to 5 days 3 of them being medium type bleeding. And 1 heavy day and a light day.

but when i misscarried my doc told me to take a break.. so i then decided to do some research and found that vitex helps to regulate cycles and possibly trigger ovulation..so before i started vitex i got a baseline blood test done which showed no ovulation and then three months after that my bloods came back normal except my progesterone was too low (below 4).

It takes a while to regulate you I got my AF on time the first month and then after. I Love Vitex it help me get normal AF and better not even bleeding alot and short AF are great. Ov on CD 12 thats even better. but as for Rachey I would see what your doc says about why you late with AF might need to do a Blood test to make sure your not pregos. m using vitex as well. and I really notice a difference in my cycles. I have quite irregular periods and the vitex really helps to regulate them. Also helps with my ovulation. The reason i started using vitex is because i didnt know when/if i was ovulating. And this cycle i'm also charting my CM, which is soo helpful! I can finally know when I'm ovulating. By the looks of my CM i should be ovulating today or in the next few days!

They told me to stop my Prometrium today and since it was my first time on it, I was wondering if anyone knows if AF will be heavier?

My Naturopathic Doctor wants me to try Vitex now because my levels are peaked and thinks Vitex will help maintain it. How much do you take and for how long in your cycle? Did you get any side effects from it? Thank-you.

My hubby and I went through almost 3 years of infertility treatments and testing...Vitex Fruit gave us our little miracle. I had only taken it for 3 weeks when it worked. Since then, I have recommened Vitex to 2 close friends, one with PCOS, both are now pregnant after only taking it 2-3 months. I refused the birth control pills and said that my husband and I are trying to conceive, that was when I was 31, as I am now 33. I read and researched and I found vitex and started taking it. I had 2 miscarriages in the past and with this one i went on prometrium and baby aspirin although nothing was ever diagnosed either. i did not experience any bleeding as a side effect of the prometrium though. have you had a scan yet?

I had an IUI a few weeks ago and then started taking prometrium for ten days. I finished up last Wednesday so it has been 5 days. How long until I should expect my period after my last prometrium?

I took 400mg of prometrium a day and shots every other day for the first 12 weeks of my pregnancy.

Have you tried a natural progesterone or even a natural herbal treatment? I have tried vitex but since my cycle and hormones are all supposed to be normal and good it didn't work for me. I have a friend who was not having a cycle for about 6 months and she tried vitex because they wanted to have a child. She went to many doctors but nobody could tell her what was going on except that she had a hormone problem. She took vitex and that month she was pregnant.

I am currently taking Vitex and **** Quai, they are natural herbs that may help because I have no periods and I dont ovulate, and I am plannig to go get a pap smear and to see what is wrong tomorrow at a clinic, but I am wondering if any of the herbs can affect my pap results or any other tests for that matter?? Does anyone know about this?

I have never engaged in any sexual activities and do not understand how I got this disease. I took Prometrium in the past to regulate my menstruate cycle. I did some research on this drug and one of side effects for this drug is Herpes. Is it possible this medicine could cause a false positive or a positive blood results for Herpes Type 2?
