Prometrium doens't cause m/c actually it prevents it. Many women take prometrium to support pregnancy. Many women have low level of progesterone so they start prometrium.It is safe to take. I started having some brown spotts the day when i had to do the first beta and my RE started me on prometrium and the spotting stopped. If you're having a m/c is not because of prometrium.Check your levels to see if is a good pregnancy.
my doctor put me on prometrium. 1st month 10 days later i got my period. 2nd month 10 days later i only spotted for a day and no period. Did this happend to anyone? What could it be?
I did the prometrium to bring a period on and started bleeding before I was done. I finished up the pills and had a normal cycle. Call the gyno and let him now it is poradic. Should be ok - but just in case, call and just let them know.
While taking Prometrium for luteal phase defect, I got several faint positives on home pregnancy tests. But then I began bleeding (light but steady full flow). So I stopped taking the prometrium. I've been bleeding for a few days now--still more than spotting though less than before. But I decided to take another home pregnancy test anyways because something felt funny. Two different brands of test were positive, darker than before but still quite faint. What do I do now?
I was in prometrium 200mg once a day with my 3rd pregnancy..and still i m/c at 17&1/2 weeks.. and i stopped taking the prometrium at my 15&1/2weeks( i should only take them for 12 weeks, but my dr told me to continued the left pills..) still don't know the reason why,, if it's bec. i stopped taking the progesterone supplement or there is some thing else..
I got some blood work done and this is my update. Tomorrow I will know if I am going to start on Prometrium or with something else.

I am TTC and taking crinone gel on day 17 until I get my period. I have noticed that I start having some mild cramps around 5 or 6 days after starting the crinone suppositories. Has anyone else noticed this? It seems to be working b/c I am not having mid-cycle spotting anymore and my cycles have gone from 24 days to around 32 days.
A little background first- I am 34 and suffer from spotting 3-5 days before my period. My cycles are 24-25 days long. In the last year they have shortened. When I first got off BCP about 22 months ago my cycles ranged from 28-31 days. About a year ago they started to shorten to 24-25 days with the occasional longer cycle & shorter cycle once in a while. The spotting started only 6 months ago. I have been TTC actively for 8 cycles & have not used protection in 13 cycles.
My husband and I are TTC our first child.
I took clomid 50(cycle2) on Jan 11th (3-7)after 5 days my period has started and i'm still bleeding with clots.Doc has prescribed me the prometrium 200 mg for 5 days to stop.Then he is asking me to take clomid100 for this cycle3. Has any one taken Prometrium for abnormal bleeding? and if so did this medicine really works??.Thanks for any advice, it's very much appreciated.
I talked to the doctor today who told me to stop the prometrium and I should expect my period in 2-3 days. I had my hopes up that perhaps I was pregnant because I know some women who have not gotten a positive on a home pregnancy test until a week after the expected period. I think I had my hopes up too much when the period was late when in fact it may have been the progesterone that was delaying my period. Has anyone had experience on progesterone like this?
I was prescribed prometrium and this is my second month. This month I used an ovulator kit and BD on the right days and took prometrium as soon as I ovulated, so why am I not pregnant. I have all the symptoms; but this can also be prometrium side effects. I really do not believe that I am pregnant because I have not experienced any spotting. I am SO frustrated. Has anyone gone through the same experience?
Had a period 4 days later and nothing since. Took OPK when I thought I should be Ovulating and I thought the test were + I had some spotting that week (Oct. 5-9) twinges on one side, everything I was reading was sounding like ovulation pain. Should have gotten AF around 10/21 and nothing I know it's only 12+ days late w/ 5 - HPT.
Around the 21-22 was extreamly nausous, thought it was AF eventhough never had those symptpoms 10/23 in the pm felt fine.
Had to take progesterone inj for 12 after confirmed preg and had taken 2 wks before the confirmation. Prometrium was for 10wks. Idid have spotting, some light red and some brown and used to get very scared. But was told not to worry, but it is so hard not to worry. Thank god everything turned out well.
I also had a normal Pap in December as well as a normal exam. Last month it happened about 2 days before my period and then my period was normal. Now this time it started Monday and I am due for my period anyday. What could be causing this. I have been been under some stress lately but otherwise nothing significant. I have an appt with my obgyn in two weeks but have been worried and just wanted another opinion.
I have had a migraine every day starting at around noon and lasting until I go to bed. I took prometrium prior to pregnancy for period induction which i took for 10 days and i would get a "withdrawl" migraine for a day or two. Have any of you ladies experienced this? I'm really getting sick of taking tylenol every 4 hours but my head throbs so bad i can't see straight if i don't. I called my doc today and of course he's out of the office.
My level recently went from 2025 to 1871 in 2 days. I have had increased spotting and some bleeding in the past week. I had an ultrasound on Spetember 2 which showed 5 week gestational sac, but empty (5 weeks corresponds to date of my LMP). I also have a question about progestrone levels. My progesterone levels fell from 53 to 25 to 16 prior to knowing my HCG levels. Does falling progesterone cause or contribute to falling HCG levels?

But here goes...I'm due for my period in 5 days and iv been spotting a bright pink today I was wondering why? It's only there when I wipe this is not normal for me I started having periods 11 years ago this is the first time I have been bleeding like this normally I'll have brown discharge in the morning and by the evening it's blood....
