prometrium and sore breasts

I had a lot of breast tenderness last month bc I was taking prometrium and esterdiol, when I told my doc she said prometrium was causing it, this month I'm only taking esterdiol 2mg a day and I have extermely sore breast again. Not sure if it's due to esterdiol or I'm pregnant.

Was just writing on my journal and realized that even wehn I was pregnant last month and was taking prometrium 200 mg. 2X a day, I was never ever this nauseaus. So I think I'm just getting really sick. Sorry didn't realize this sooner and don't knwo how to delete a post.

my dr said I'd get pregnancy symptoms--like sore breasts--but did not mention cramping and I forgot to ask...

My wife has been off of Prometrium for about a month and a half, and was originally prescribed it because she had very heavy, long periods. She ended up becoming very anxious while on the medication, so her doctor told her to stop and take birth control starting on her next cycle. My wife did not take the birth control, as we were in the process of moving and she wanted to consult a doctor in our new city. Since stopping the Prometrium, we've noticed that she has the following symptoms. 1.

I will tell you that it made my morning sickness much worse than with any of my other pregnancies and my breasts were extremely sore and I was always exhausted until I came off the meds. So don't be surprised if you begin to have some of these symptoms. Zofran can help with the morning sickness just ask your dr about it. good luck!

On my CD1 I had a normal but light period and very sore breasts that continued through to day 13 today. Normally I would have much mucus and a positive ovulation test today. Both my ovulation test and pregnacy tests are negative, yet my breasts are very sore, I have zero mucus, and only a faint second line on the ovulation test. I can feel that my estragin is low (I am tired and not in the mood). What could be going on? Why don't these sore breasts settle down like usual?

If you have low progesterone levels ( short luteal phase ),and you get pregnant, do you think you are less likely to have sore breasts and fatigue? Without the proper progesterone do you think these pg symptoms would not appear at 5-6 weeks. I know low progesterone can lead to early miscarriage if you dont take supplements.

I am taking Prometrium and took it my last pregnancy. If your Progesterone is low you will miscarry. Likewise if there is a genetic issue with the little embryo that would cause miscarry Prometrium won't "save" the pregnancy. But at least you'll be able to get far enough along using the Prometrium to see what is going to happen and possibly prevent a miscarriage in the event your little bean is healthy as can be! Prometrium makes me feel really dizzy.

This, my 3rd were sore around 14 and now at 16 weeks are starting to really get sore. AND grow..... Each pregnancy is different, I'm sure you are just fine. I think I missed your BFP? Congratulations to you!!

Yes ma'am!!! Progesterone always made my breasts huge and sore. It has been a few months since I've been on it, but yes, I can completly relate to your symptoms! As for the "don't take when pregnant" label, this is how it was explained to me: taking progesterone supplements then abruptly stopping them is a way that a doctor can use to make you start AF, thus, they need to put that label on there.

m on Prometrium twice a day and I called my nurse, she said to continue taking the Prometrium and test on Sunday like the doctor told me to. What do yall think? Thanks for the comments and Good Luck to everyone!

t have any symtoms yet except feeling tired and irritablity. Do you take Prometrium? could be from that. Clomid since you took it for awhile, it's will not stay in your system by now. I am on Prometrium for 15 days after IUI. Let's hope for BFP. the mind does plays trick on us and makes us think we are pregnant. Just relax and wait until your AF due..... I will take my HPT on 5/26.

Are you on prometrium vaginally? If you are on that, af won't start until you stop it. I am 8wks now after two tries with IUI. My bb's were sore, like AF was coming but around 10DPO, the soreness lessened and just my nips were sore. I also had some cramping like AF was coming, too. Based on my experience...the less signs you have may be a good thing! Good luck! Keep us updated!

This is my first time posting a question so bear with me. I'm a 24 y/o F who has been trying to get pregnant since last April. I have very irregular and missed periods so my Dr. put me on 10 days of Prometrium. I had few side effects, fatigue, dizziness and some nausea. After the 10 days on the pill I am supposed to get my period and on day 3 of normal mentration return to the clinic for lab work to diagnose polycystic ovaries. It's been 7 days and no period yet.

Every woman is different. Just becuase you don't have sore breasts does not mean something bad will happen. Keep using the Prometrium as prescribed and hopefully this little one will stay!!!

I had symptoms, but I am not entirely sure if it was the prometrium, the chlomid or a combination of both. I had really sore breasts, headaches and fatigue. I hope in your case it's a BFP causing the symptoms...keep us posted and good luck!!!!!!!

I also take prometrium and the only side affect I have is sore bbs....other than that im fine I take it right before i crawl in the bed like i was told to....

Ok, who am I kidding. Should read just plain paranoid. I'm curious though. I have been on prometrium for every pregnancy except the first. Always 100 mg X3 taken orally. I have always experienced tender breasts, headaches, but only ever mild nausea. This time I am so sick. Not vomiting, but constantly nauseas, and it's really knocking me off my feet. No tender breasts though...a little bit I guess, but nothing overly noticeable. This time I'm on 200mg X 3 vaginally.

ve noticed in just one week my breasts have grown a lot and theyare very sore.

ve been on progesterone suppositories since 3 dpo and the last few days have been feeling really cruddy....bbs are sore, nausea on and off, bloated feeling....I know these can be from progesterone or pg. BUT, I've also got the sensitivity to smell really bad lately....went to the grocery store to find something for lunch yesterday and was so turned off by the smell in the deli! I also have no clue what I want to eat....nothing sounds appealing....not hot, not cold, not crunchy, not sweet..

m going to wait to take my 3rd pregnancy test, in the light of your comment here, but I am displaying multiple symptoms of early pregnancy - missed period, nausea, frequent urination (with more secretion), extreme weepiness, backache, headaches, weight gain on tummy and breasts (which are sore - very much the way they get before period and I think the areola are darker).

After all my pregnancies I would take an ace bandages and wrap them around my breasts as tight as I could handle it and after a few days I was completely dried up ....

So, obviously, we have been bottle feeding. Now that my milk has come in my breasts are really sore and heavy.. Does anyone have any suggestions to help ease the pain? Thank you.

m 32 weeks 3 days and currently on bed rest due to risk for preterm labor and I woke up and my breasts are soooo sore and feel soooo full! It hurts so bad and they are leaking a lot. Is there any way to relieve the pain!

Hi all, i am a 19 year old female and have sore breasts, i had a full period just over a week ago and my breasts around the side are sore, it feels like muscle sore, but i have not been doinf any physical activity of late. I am extremely safe when it comes to contraception, i understand things happen but i have been VERY un safe in the past (to the point of rediculously unsafe) and have never fallen pregnate. i am extremelly worried.

Other important causes are fibrocystic breast disease,ductal ectasia,mastitis(inflammation of breasts),galactoceles,benign and malignant pathologies of breasts,referred pain from liver or musculoskeletal system,arthritis of the ribs,costsochondritis and inflammation or sprain of pectoralis muscle. I feel that an examination by a gynecologist will be the best.

Periodically I feel stabbing pains all through my breasts. Or does it just feel sore like when you workout and your muscles are sore and tired??

Oh and for the soreness i use a warm cloth and put them on them and also warm bath i just soke them in and helps the pain...

Mine get soar all the time too, it can be hormones and even your breasts are still growing at your age. The soreness comes and goes its nothing to worry about. But I suggest you not to touch them alot it tends to make the breasts more sore depending on your size..
