prometrium and nausea

Does anyone take estrace and prometrium? I have googled information on those, but not finding what I want.

t have any symtoms yet except feeling tired and irritablity. Do you take Prometrium? could be from that. Clomid since you took it for awhile, it's will not stay in your system by now. I am on Prometrium for 15 days after IUI. Let's hope for BFP. the mind does plays trick on us and makes us think we are pregnant. Just relax and wait until your AF due..... I will take my HPT on 5/26.

Was just writing on my journal and realized that even wehn I was pregnant last month and was taking prometrium 200 mg. 2X a day, I was never ever this nauseaus. So I think I'm just getting really sick. Sorry didn't realize this sooner and don't knwo how to delete a post.

I have had a few days of really bad nausea this pregnancy, and I bought a product called Ginger Beer (nope, not an alcholic drink..lol) that really worked well. I found it at my local grocery store. I too am on prometrium and have been since the beginning of this pregnancy. It's pretty common. Congrats on your excellent ultrasound results...that's great! I wish you a healthy remainder of your pregnancy!!

put me on 10 days of Prometrium. I had few side effects, fatigue, dizziness and some nausea. After the 10 days on the pill I am supposed to get my period and on day 3 of normal mentration return to the clinic for lab work to diagnose polycystic ovaries. It's been 7 days and no period yet. My breasts hurt and I'm nausous now that I'm NOT taking Prometrium. Wondering if these are normal post medication symptoms or if I might actually be pregnant.

Hi! and Congratulations! It is most likely the pregnancy and not the Prometrium which is causing you to be sick, and I'm not sure whether that is good or bad news! So, no it won't stop when you stop the Prometrium, however, it might stop (pregnancy associated nausea and vomiting aka morning sickness) often gets better as you get into your second trimester--week 13-14 or so.

I am taking Prometrium and took it my last pregnancy. If your Progesterone is low you will miscarry. Likewise if there is a genetic issue with the little embryo that would cause miscarry Prometrium won't "save" the pregnancy. But at least you'll be able to get far enough along using the Prometrium to see what is going to happen and possibly prevent a miscarriage in the event your little bean is healthy as can be! Prometrium makes me feel really dizzy.

All I can tell you is that I did not take prometrium in my pregnancy and I had day long, bone-numbing nausea starting about 3 weeks - so my vote is on HCG. I feel for you - it was no fun. Mine got slightly better at around 8 weeks and was pretty much gone by 10 weeks - I was never so relieved in my life. To be honest, that nausea is what makes me afraid to get pregnant again - it was like going to work every day with GI virus (but I never threw up either).

I had 2 miscarriages in the past and with this one i went on prometrium and baby aspirin although nothing was ever diagnosed either. i did not experience any bleeding as a side effect of the prometrium though. have you had a scan yet?

I was on prometrium suppositories for my first iui and nausea is one of the listed side effects. I suffered from it starting 2-3 days after my first dose. It can also make you tired, dizzy, cramps, bloating, worry, irritability, headache and sore bbs. Unfortunately some of those are also symptoms of pms and possible early sign of pregnancy. It really messes with your head as you get close to the end of your ttw and you are trying to guess where your symptoms are coming from.

Hi, I am 5 wkd pregnant with twins following treatment for endometriosis and recurrent miscarriage (5 in 2 years). My doc recently upped my prometrium after I started spotting & now the nausea is relentless. I want to give these babies the best chance but I'm worried that the nausea may do more harm since I can no longer eat. I've only succesfully held down nibbles over the past 3 days & feel weak & awful.

I have never engaged in any sexual activities and do not understand how I got this disease. I took Prometrium in the past to regulate my menstruate cycle. I did some research on this drug and one of side effects for this drug is Herpes. Is it possible this medicine could cause a false positive or a positive blood results for Herpes Type 2?

My first daughter was born premature at 32w 6 days. My membranes ruptured (no cause was determined) and my daughter is now 4 and in great health. My doctor prescribed PROMETRIUM, 2 capsules to be taken intra-vaginaly, every day from week 18 to 32. I know Prometrium is primarily prescribed to women having trouble convceiving or having repeated mc.

I went through an ovulation induction cycle and was put on prometrium (progesterone) to support a healthy lining. I am now 20 days past ovulation, no period, and three negative home pregnancy tests (it is now day 33 of my cycle and I am typically a 28 day cycle, like clockwork). I have had a migraine every day starting at around noon and lasting until I go to bed. I took prometrium prior to pregnancy for period induction which i took for 10 days and i would get a "withdrawl" migraine for a day or two. Have any of you ladies experienced this? I'm really getting sick of taking tylenol every 4 hours but my head throbs so bad i can't see straight if i don't. I called my doc today and of course he's out of the office.

They only took my progesterone levels once after I started the Prometrium to make sure it was theraputic and it was in the 20's don't remember exactly. But they haven't taken it again. But I've had 4 ultrasounds where we have seen baby's heartbeat and everything is well.

Hi! My daughter's name is Jacey! I wish you all the best! A progesterone level of 15 is consistent with a viable pregnancy, so, that is good. There is no set level that we aim for when we supplement, and there are a lot of different opinions about what to use, my RE didn't believe that Prometrium would work, so I got daily shots--ouch. If you were my patient, I would probably re-check the progesterone level, for both of ours peace-of-mind.

5 mg day 3-7, followed by overlap Gonal F 150 units day 6-10, IUI April 25 and 26 (Sunday, Monday) and about to start Prometrium tonight. My Beta is on May 9th. Good luck to everyone! Here's hoping to keeping each other sane and a BFP soon!

I had to wear bra shirts because my bras were all too tight. Combined with the nausea, constipation, bloating and exhaustion I couldn't wait for the 10 days to be over!! A few days after AF it finally went away completely.

Hi Elaine, So after 3 miscarriages I am pregnant (age 38) again with great hcg. And went for my 1st ultrasound at 6 weeks yesterday and they found the fetal pole and the hb was 116 bpm. So Im very happy... I would like to continue to have sex with my partner but do you think its safe? Could it cause a miscarriage? Also I\m on prometrium until 13 weeks so I;d hate to miscarry after sex and not know it.. Thank you.

I had my follow-up ultrasound just yesterday 9/15. **sigh** I can't believe I will be having another miscarriage, my 3rd. They said I'm about 6w4d pregnant. When I was 5w pregnant, a gestational sac was found and a yolk sac was starting to form. Now, the gestational sac has almost doubled and there is no growth to the yolk sac and it looks abnormal. They were expecting to see a fetal pole, but it's not there.
