It just finished my last pill on Sat, so now a waiting game. A friend took prometrium for 5 days and had her period 4 days after she took her last pill. Heard it can take up to a week?
This is only my 2nd month with RE and 1st time I'm taking any type of meds besides BC. Then RE said she's going to put me on Estrace one my cycle comes? I'm hoping for the best? We also are trying to get pregnant. Isn't so frustrating!

I was on progesterone only once a day, prometrium (vaginally) am and pm, and finished my antibiotics. how much progesterone are you taking?
In IVF women use it in addition to estrace to strengthen their uterus. Women in IVF normally stay on progesterone and the estrace combo until they are 12 weeks pregnant. I hope you DON'T miscarry but if it happens, see about being put on progesterone before you try to get pregnant again since you now know you produce low levels of progesterone naturally. Mine was 4.5mm last Tuesday, and my RE upped my estrace dose. I am doing a frozen cycle. I go back this Tuesday to see if my lining has improved.

oh ps... i did get pregnant when my lining when it measured around 5.5mm. I m/c'd but it was due to adhesions, not my thin lining

I used one crinone every day and I also took two prometrium pills (am and pm). According to my RE, crinone is just as effective as the shots, if not more effective, since the hormone is delivered right there where it's needed and does not have to go through your whole system first (like the PIO shots do). Wishing you all the best for your upcoming cycle!
If you were my patient, I would be tempted to give you 14 days of progesterone (Prometrium seems to have fewer side effects) and then repeat the ultrasound before doing a biopsy. If you wanted to continue Vagifem, I would consider scanning again in 3 months to see if the lining was building up again. If so, you could stop the medication, or consider a small daily dose of progesterone.

While I still feel better than I did before my hyst. (pain wise anyway) there has to be some way to control these hot flashes!

This is my first time having a frozen embryo transfer (FET) and the doctor has prescribed 4mg of Estrace a day for 8 days and then 6mg for another 8 days before the transfer. Now that I read the prescription, it says that it is classified as type X drug, NOT to be taken while pregnant or breastfeeding, as it causes birth defetcts!!!
What should I think?
Now I am on 2 tablets of 2mg Estrace and 1progesterone suppository in the morning, noon and evening. Now I feel a lot of lower back pain and dizzy all the time. I had 2 ectopics already. therefore I am very scared. Can anyone gone throuth this type of experience tell me what these syptoms tell?

I know I take prometrium and will throughout the entire first trimester. I asked about just stopping meds, especially after a history of loss. It was sort of complicated, but the general gist of it was that by that time the placenta and normal body hormones are strong enough to sustain it. Its the first few weeks that we sometimes need a bit of help. You have a nice strong heartbeat, so that is a really great sign. Things are obviously progressing the way they should.
t have many symptoms either, and the symptoms that I am having I wonder if it is b/c of the hormones i.e. (estrace, prometrium!) Any advice?
I have 5 days left to find out, so I am just 1 day behind you. The only symptom I feel is very sore bbs. I am taking estrace and prometrium, so I am sure that is what is causing it. This is my first month taking those medications, so I am unsure of what is common for me. Good luck Thursday!
