Has any one taken Prometrium for abnormal bleeding? and if so did this medicine really works??.Thanks for any advice, it's very much appreciated.

My family doc gave me a prescription for Prometrium (200 mgs) because I was terrified of taking the Provera again due to side effects and heavy bleeding. Any information on how one feels while taking Prometrium (vs Provera) and whether it works to bring on a flow but, not a flood? I'm confused and cannot get my OBGYN by phone or even and appointment to talk to her. Any help would be much appreciated.
I have had a migraine every day starting at around noon and lasting until I go to bed. I took prometrium prior to pregnancy for period induction which i took for 10 days and i would get a "withdrawl" migraine for a day or two. Have any of you ladies experienced this? I'm really getting sick of taking tylenol every 4 hours but my head throbs so bad i can't see straight if i don't. I called my doc today and of course he's out of the office.
t bleed more than a day. Never got my period. Saw the doc on Oct 13 and did blood work and started Prometrium 400mg for 10 days to induce period. Finished Prometrium on Oct 22. Today is Nov 3 and still no period. My doc said I should get my period within a few days of stopping the Prometrium. Data for Prometrium says should get a period within 7 days. It's now been 12 days since stopping the Prometrium. The bloodwork showed hCG level at 1, TSH at 1.32 and Prolactin at 8.9.
i take 1 shot of 40mgs lovenox a day, one folic acid tab, one prenatal, and prometrium after i ovulate (prometrium is for my progesterone issue). i have had 3 failed pregnancies before i found out, and one failed pregnancy after i found out. i have been ttc again since june with no luck. if you have any questions just ask! i know how confusing it can be!
It has not been a heavy flow until this last weekend. Three days ago I began passing clots and having heavy bleeding. I feel worn out. I went to Kaiser and had a blood test. I am not anemic. I feel like I am not being listened to or taken seriously. They wanted me to take progesterone in heavy doses. Is this normally the only soloution? Or are they just doing their usual minimum treatment? I have been on bio-identical hormones for 3 years and they have worked wonders until recently.
Well i called today to get more answers as to what was causing the bleeding, and apparently i have blood clots forming in the layers of the placenta where its suppose to attach to the uterus....but the clots should be dissolving on their own. Currently on light bed rest and no sex.
Has anyone experienced this before its called Subchorionic hematoma...
My mom has had a headache for 2 months straight now and was in the hospital for a while and they found out that she has a blood clot in her head in the transverse and sigmoid sinuses. It is the length of the middle of her mouth all the way back to her neck. It is still there and she is still having very bad headaches. She is on Coumadin and pain medicine. Any suggestions on what we could do help her get rid of this clot and to ease her headaches.

Good day, I have been passing large(and small) blood clots for the past several months. I went to my gyn and he found that I have polyps. Understanding that, I am still passing clots intermittently and it is detrimental to my sex life. Although my husband doesn't say anything, it's like playing russian roulette. You just never know when the clots will appear, could be before, during or after sex. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. Could this be related to endometriosis? How can this be resolved?
When it comes to heavier bleeding or actual blood and not the brown dried up blood, or passing clots it's best to be seen at er asap.
Well I started my period 2 days ago and noticed it was heavy..I have since then seen 5-6 blood clots come out ... One the size of a loonie..Im starting to worrie again but I cant see my doc for another 2 months b/c they are soo full.. On July 2nd i had a colonoscopy, July 3rd (spent 8 hrs in the ER) diagnosed with a DVT in the upper extremity stemming from my IV injection site.
