About two weeks into my new Wellbutrin regimen (150 mg. SR added to my nightly dose of 33 mg. Remeron), I developed a pretty intense bout of heartburn. This heartburn has stayed with for most of the entire past week-and-a-half, and I've recently added a daily Prilosec to my cocktail, which clears up the problem almost entirely. I'm getting ready to bump my dose up to a second WB 150 SR daily, and am worried about this heartburn issue, as I seem to really be responding to this drug.
My main symptom at the time was numbness in my arms and legs and fatigue. Chiari fit since I also had neck and shoulder pain. I had decompression surgery in 2011. The neck pain has gone away and for some time there was an increase in energy, a slight increase. Initially the numbness went away too. But the numbness has come back and is pretty constant now. Since then I have been tested for Neuropathy, we found none, 2013.
I was wondering if anyone else wakes up feeling sick to their stomach in the morning ? I have been finding myself lately waking up to nausea and stomach pains. It will last most of the day and dissipate in the evenings.
I was nauseous for months and thought it might be my stomach meds (I got sick earlier that year and they put me on Prilosec) so I stopped the Prilosec and felt a little better, but the nausea persisted. I knew it was my anxiety and that I would just have to deal with it. Months later, I had forgotten to take my Zoloft for three days and miraculously felt nausea free! So I stopped the Zoloft in May of 2010 and the nausea went away.
I really don't understand why your Dr even put you on Wellbutrin because like I said, it can be stimulating and is used more for depression.
How long have you been completely off of it? It can take a while to get out of your system. So you may either be going through a little bit of withdrawal or it's still in your system.
Obviously concerned about cancer. I am a 29 year old female, 22 BMI, also on Wellbutrin and take Ambien fairly regularly to counteract Wellbutrin-induced insomnia. Family medical history is unknown.
OK....so that was a lot of info. Can someone just tell me if this sounds like it could be serious or is probably just nothing? I realize that ultimately the ENT will be the one to tell me but it's 2 frickin' weeks away.
I've had occassional PVC's for 20 plus years. I also have Mitral Valve Prolaps. About 2 months ago I started taking Prilosec for reflux. I then began to have a huge increase in the number of PVC's. Sometimes lasting all day. I've been on an event monitor for the past 2 weeks. I didn't even think that to relate this increase in PVC's to the Prilosec until about a week ago.
ve had 3 docs prescribe prevacid and prilosec and one who said its bad to have any. I miscarried when I wasnt on anything and the babies I've had are all fine despite the prilosec. Some docs are more cautious. My doc now is a high risk ob/gyn with experience in fetal development issues and he says its fine. Talk to your doc or a different one...its not good to be so miserable you can't eat...for you or baby.
I have been having some GI issues for almost 2 months now and was first diagnosed with Gastritis. For the Gastritis I was given 15 days worth of Prilosec. While on the Prilosec (and before) I had diarrhea and loose stools every day. Being as I was having that before, I never attributed it to the Prilosec but now I'm questioning whether or not the Prilosec contributed to the loose bowel movements as I am now back on Prilosec and am having loose stools once again.
My doctor diagnosed me almost a year ago with "the worst case of acid reflux [she'd] ever seen." Literally, I would drink a glass of water and get reflux issues. I was put on Nexium for a long time, and I have since switched to Prilosec OTC because I ran out of health insurance. It's been about five days on Prilosec but I keep feeling nauseous in the morning after I take it, but it's nothing too bad and it goes away fairly quickly.
I am currently taking 15 mg of valium a day and just started 100 mg Wellbutrin a day for severe anxiety. The only information I read is that Wellbutrin is for Depression, is this also a medication to help with anxiety?
No spicy foods, not eating anyting real solid 3 to 4 hours before sleeping except maybe a popcile. Trying to lose weight and exercise and trying to lay off the caffeine and carbonated bevereges(which is extremly hard for me but Im doing it.) I havent been able to nail an actual flare up food, it seems I'm nausous off and on all the time.
I have been taking prozac and wellbutrin. Some Drs. say its ok and some dont. I have been going on my second week with no wellbutrin and am staying nausea all the time. I felt like the Wellbutrin was causing me to gain weight.
The risk that does exist would relate to the fact that alcohol withdrawal tends to lower the seizure threshold and Wellbutrin does the same. And believe it or not, you experience mild alcohol withdrawal during the night after you drink more than two drinks of alcohol (hence the disrupted sleep). So, the risk depends on how much more than two drinks you have....
I was recently put on wellbutrin and xanax. I had been having severe anxiety attacks. In the past I've taken wellbutrin for depression but got off of it because I felt that was able to cope with my problems on my own without medication. It's been 3 years since I've last taken it and when I took it before I don't remember getting perscribed xanax. So, my questions is...
I would switch gradually to Cymbalta and see what happens rather than being on both. As for the Wellbutrin added to the mix it could help with libido since dopamine is in play. Both Zoloft and Wellbutrin sounds like something you could try before getting on Cymblata. I don't think you shoud mix Cymbalta with Wellbutrin personally.
Thanks. Called the pharmacist and find Wellbutrin is a SSRI so taking the 5-HTP would not have a benefit. He said one would cancel out the other. Hmm...guess it is time to start riding the bike!
s natural and less potent than Wellbutrin and there is no risk and you can have the same benefits of Wellbutrin with it apart the fact that it won't affect the norepinephrine neurotransmitter but rather the serotonin which is related to happy mood therefore non-depressive mood.

Has anyone ever responded to the original questions posted in 2010? I am curious. I have been taking 300 mg Wellbutrin and 200 mg Topamax since May 2016 and have lost approx 30lbs. I wasn't aware of the side affects and my doctor said as long as I feel fine there is no reason to run tests. I just want to make sure others are having this same significant weight loss.
