premarin and provera period

Am on these pills to make my period come and am wondering do it prevent my from getting pregnant.

What are these medications used for? And have they worked for anyone? I recently used Premarin to "jumpstart my AF" I just don't know if I'm ovulating. Does the Provera get you ready for the clomid, and the clomid help you ovulate? Is this a pill or an injection??? I just need to make sure I'm ovulating so I can get pregnant!

im bleeding for the whole month of december up to now.my ob gyne prescribed premarin and hemostan.

I was on 6 months of Lupron and ended in March. Still waiting for my period to return. I was just given Premarin and agyestin to try and "jump start" my period. Has anyone used Premarin to help jump start their period? And if so, how long did it take? I am on it for 25 days (Premarin) and then starting the aygestin after the 16th day.

Hi, my name is Chanel and i've been on my period for about 3 weeks now and i just left the doctor's office. She prescribed premarin to help stop the bleeding but i'm very skeptical about taking it. I looked it up online and the side-effects are very frightening. The last time this happened, I was prescribed vitamin K to stop the bleeding. I know that technically the way provera causes your period is in the stopping of the provera. Since your body normally produces progesterone and then stops before af, it's the drop in progesterone that "activates" af. However, if you haven't been on it that many days, I could see how if you were actually about to get your period naturally, that you may just get it anyway. I personally think anything is possible.

The provera worked and I had my period about a week after finishing the pills. I took the clomid when scheduled, and we tried as best we could to get pregnant. My question is... if I don't get pregnant this month will I have to take provera again to get another period, or will taking the clomid help me have a period since I did ovulate??? I want to get pregnant, so my gynecologist has given me a prescription for Provera and Clomid. I take 5 pills of Provera of the first of each month, then I need to wait for my period, and on the 5th day of my period I start taking 5 pills of Clomid. My question is: Should I continue taking Provera if I dont know Im pregnant? I mean,,, I can do the test on the 3rd (5 days before expected period) but it will be the 3rd day of taking Provera. I read Provera can cause miscarriage. Please advice.

My vagina has been dry since I took depo provera 6 years ago. I get aroused and I've already tried premarin and different Herbs. I think inside is not dry, but the outer part of my vagina gets no lubrication. Please help!!!

So he gave me Provera 10mg for 10 days and tells me to stop taking Premarin. Two weeks later I come back for sonogram, and the findings above is what I see on the paperwork, but, the doctor comes in and says.,have you ever had a biopsy of the uterus? It seems odd to follow fibroid surgery with estrogen HRT (premarin and estrone are both types of estrogen) since estrogen causes fibroids to grow... You should call your doctor and ask when your period should start. I'm surprised your doctor did not tell you to use protection (condom, diaphragm) until you are ready to get pregnant since Premarin does not prevent pregnancy... I wish I could be of more assistance...

I am taking just 500mg of metformin (increase to 1000mg tomorrow and so on) and I took provera to get my period. Usually when i take provera alone my period is pretty heavy and this time around (first timeon metformin) its really light. Like in 4 or more hours it barely covers the tip of a tampon (sorry TMI) has anyone had this on metformin the lighter periods? thanks girls!

I have been on my period for two months now non stop. so my dr prescribed provera for 14 days to try to get me to stop and have normal cycles. it says not to get pregnant while taking this medication. what will happen if i do get pregnant while on provera.

Recently I decided to try the Pill so my dr put me on Provera 5 mg for 5 days 3 times a day before starting the Pill. Its day 5 after completing the course of Provera and still I have not gotten my period. Do most people on the 5 day course take longer than this to get their period? My last period was on 4 of february 2010. My docter said to me to begin using provera on the fifteen day after my first day period. I began to take the provera on the 18 of february 2010 for 7 days (ending on 24) Till now my period didn't come and i take pregnancy test (home) on today 9 of march it is positive. So, it could be not the Premarin, since I take that every month, and the premarin cream I've added isn't a large amount. I have been on provera for almost a year and it work perfectly my period always came the day after my last pill(never got pregnant). I am trying to conceive , but I never had my period until 2009 and it's been a year that i am on provera. I told my doctor last month that i was trying to have a baby and he started clomid 50 mg last month.

So my doctor prescribed me provera for 10 days and stated that once I get my period to take clomid for 5days. Now on the prescriptions I have 5refills for both but my question is do I continue on provera the following month? Does anyone who has been prescribed these medication know any more information? and the doc said i am to start my period 3-7 days after..Its been 10 days and still not period....I have no symptoms of starting my period either...Has anyone ever taken Provera alone and started there period after 10 days....How long does it normally take to start period?....I am really concerned if something is wrong????...please reply..any advice will help..Thank You!!!

this is my first month taking provera as well and i did ask my doctor and she said that provera does not interfere with ovulation and there shouldnt be any harm to the fetus if u end up pregnant..

Thanks, well its CD39 and no AF , beta came back negative, so now I am going to be taking Provera for the first time , and also the Clomid, Does the Provera work, how long before you start AF, and are there side effects, Im afraid im going to take it and AF will be sooo long that me and my husband wont be able to try before he is deployed, should I just wait and see if it comes naturally?

This is my 3rd month of taking Provera and in the previous months I started my period on days 8 and days 11 while taking the provera. I take 1 pill for 10days. I noticed brown discharge like I'm about to start yesterday but that has currently stopped. I am having lower back pain, cramping and a mild headache. I'm even fatigued like I should be on my cycle. I have taken a total of 5 home preg test and all were negative. I have an appointment with my OBGYN scheduled, in two weeks.
