Now it seems I always have to take medication like Provera to bring my periods on. This is the main reason I am having fertility problems, my husband and I have been going to a fertility specialist who is also a well known endo and I've only been prescribed Metformin to take. Should I be taking something else for it?
Sometimes, I feel like I should be taking something else with it. Is it just me being paranoid?

My vagina has been dry since I took depo provera 6 years ago. I get aroused and I've already tried premarin and different Herbs. I think inside is not dry, but the outer part of my vagina gets no lubrication. Please help!!!
So he gave me Provera 10mg for 10 days and tells me to stop taking Premarin. Two weeks later I come back for sonogram, and the findings above is what I see on the paperwork, but, the doctor comes in and says.,have you ever had a biopsy of the uterus? I said I don't think so, he says I would like to do one, your uterus is large and we wanna make sure you don't have pc, or uterine cancer?
I am not sure on the med you are on - but is sounds very similiar to the two I am reading about. Premarin, Provera. The main ingredient is Premarin which is short - from my reading of pregnant mares. This is a horse hormone that is labeled as equillin. There are no traces of this hormone equillin in the table of human hormones. The second component in Prempro is called Provera stated progesterone - but its really not human progesterone or progesterone at all.
He did not prescribe any type of progesterone for me to take but told me to go ahead and take the Premarin. Advised me that I should see a gyn--which I already did and they did not test my hormones at all. I have terrible hot flashes every day, insomnia, anxiety and mood changes. All of which I thought was monopause. I don't know what to do. I am so scared and confused. I had an echocardigram done and the cardiologist said there were some abnormalities.
I have pcos and I took provera for 10 days I usually see signs of a period after the last pill.
also have been CL here for quite some time, kearned much from others experiences, I can say with 100 % certainty that I personally think premarin is the WORST choice for hormone replacement. Could not begin to tell you how many have reported same as you. Premarin is made from urine of a pregnant horse. Bio-identical hormones are newer, safer and can be tailor adjusted for your own personal anatomy. I use Vivelle its a patch I only need estrogen for now, many need a combo.
Thanks ladies... i decided to take the plunge and give myself the ovidrel... even if the outcome is four (or more) babies -- nothing's worse than 3 years of trying with no success... So i choose to trust God to give me no more than I can handle, and we'll see how it goes.

I used to take hormone tablets ,for 10 years and then i developed a lump on my breast .I was naturally scared it was cancer .So i had a mamogramme and an ultrasond ,and it showed up 5 cysts .The radiogist reassured me this was NOT cancer .He said they were fliud filled cysys because i was on hormone tablets.I was advised to come off the tablets slowly .Since then it has happened to me four times .
Once your cycles become more regular, though, you should be able to better pinpoint your fertile days and when to take ovulation tests if you decide to use those. But until then, if you happen to notice stretchy, clear cervical mucus (eggwhite looking), chances are you're getting close to ovulation, which means it's a good time to start trying! Best of luck!
