732206 tn?1237293122 I would highly recommend avoiding diet pills while still nursing as you will be affecting your child unaturally. Think, diet pills are temperary as when you stop them the weight usually comes back. Although pregnancy will contribute or cause weight gain be aware that it takes a bit of time to loose it. It is usually about what we eat, when we eat it, and how often we eat assuming your hormones are not imbalanced.
Avatar n tn I haven't had a period in 3 months but pregnancy test are still showing negative what could it be?
Avatar m tn How were you treated for Graves Disease? Are you now hypo? Are you on thyroid replacement hormones? If so, which ones, what dosage and for how long have you been on it? It's possible that you need to increase your med dosage, if you aren't losing weight. Typically, when thyroid hormone levels are adequate weight will come off. If you have current labs you could post, that would be helpful for us.
Avatar f tn They call it the mini pill. It doesn't have the extra female hormone in it. Its the only pill I can take even not breastfeeding becuz the extra female hormone makes my headaches unbearable. The one I used was called errin.
Avatar n tn Your doctor should monitor you closely during your pregnancy to be sure hormone levels are adequate. Pregnancy and childbirth can wreak havoc with healthy thyroids, so it's important to start out with your condition under control.
Avatar f tn I took a pregnancy test yesterday morning and it was negative. Hopefully it's not premenopause since I'm about to be 26 next month. I'm going to take another test Thursday morning, a week from when I was 'late' if you want to call it that. I did just move from Alaska to Mississippi so I'm not sure if that might have something to do with it as well.
Avatar n tn ANYHOW, I WENT TO MY DOCTOR WHO IS FAMOUS FOR PILL PUSHING.........SHE DID BLOOD WORK AND A URINE TEST......MY NERVES WERE ABOUT SHOT AT THAT TIME AND MY ADRENALIN WAS REALLY FLOWING FOR A FEW WEEKS FROM THE NONSENSE AT WORK AND WORRY ABOUT GETTING A JOB TRANSFER........I TOLD THE DOCTOR ABOUT MY PERIOD AND STRESS AND SHE SENT ME TO AN OBGYN.......WELL, THE OBGYN FOUND NOTHING OUT OF THE ORDINARY......HE SAID THAT I HAD A HORMONE IMBALANCE DUE TO STRESS........
Avatar f tn Is it ok to have sex when you got out off a hospital for hormone imbalance about 8 day and they put you on birth control or do you wait
Avatar f tn Regarding taking the morning-after pill after transfer, it might be dangerous to you due to the massive hormone loads involved already with IVF and the hormone loads of the morning-after pill. It also might not work. In the run-up to IVF, you will be monitored at least once by ultrasound and blood test to see how thick your uterine lining is and what your hormone levels are.
Avatar f tn I know it is advised that during a pregnancy is not the time to diet or lose weight. I'm not necessarily interested in losing weight but this is my forth pregnancy and my last three ive gained 100+ pounds no matter how hard I tried not to. Ive lost it each time and right now I weigh 135 lbs. I'd like to take one oxy elite pro per day to keep my weight gain within the normal range for someone my size.
20922415 tn?1661860103 During the reproductive years, the pituitary gland in the brain generates hormones (follicle-stimulating hormone [FSH] and luteinizing hormone [LH]) that cause a new egg to mature and be released from its ovarian follicle each month. As the follicle develops, it produces the sex hormones estrogen and progesterone, which thicken the lining of the uterus called the endometrium.
1363590 tn?1277807077 For a certain period I would go through a special diet rich in protein (no carbs) and meanwhile my body "thinking I'm pregnant" would start to get "food" from my body. Eating my fatness. So there I'd start to loose weight. My questions are: Is that safe? Would that somehow mess up my hormone system? What the side effects? Thank you so much;. God bless you. Marcella.
Avatar n tn I dont want to go on the pill are there any other ways other than the pill. Also in regards to pregnancy ive heard there are tablets you can take is this true? Can anyone help me im desperate for answers!!!
Avatar f tn I haven't had my period in over 5 months, after coming off the pill for 6 years, when I did come off I had maybe a light period that lasted a couple of days the following week after coming off the pill. I haven't had anything since, I have had an unltrasound done to check my eggs, ovaries and so on but they are fine and my hormone levels are fine, why don't I have my periods?
Avatar n tn Chronic health problems such as diabetes can cause problems with leg cramps. Hormone imbalances, pregnancy and vascular problems can also be the cause, as can a bad case of the stomach flu with diarrhea. A deficiency in the electrolyte, potassium may bring on leg cramps. Potassium is an essential element the body requires in order to regulate heartbeat and blood pressure.
1124121 tn?1267135738 You sound a lot like me when I was younger! Yeast infection EVERY month right before my period. Was seeing specialists that diagnosed me with chronic recurrent candida by the time I was 16. I could never tolerate birth control and am also allergic to latex. My chronic yeast was caused by my hormone allergy. I'm allergic to my progesterone which is the hormone that increases drastically right before you start your period.
Avatar f tn Other things that can delay a period is stress, weight/diet change, hormone imbalance (this can be from the pills) or some medications you are on, having a virus etc. Worrying about it being late can only delay it more so try and relax, it will show up.
2215568 tn?1339764975 What is HCG? Human Chorionic Gonadotopin is a hormone produced by pregnant women during the first trimester of pregnancy. The body produces this hormone to ensure that the fetus is able to get the necessary food and nutrient it needs to develop normally. It allows the fetus to access the mother’s abnormal fat stores. The ability to access tap these stores allows the fetus to maintain a healthy weight regardless of the caloric intake of the mother.
Avatar f tn My cycles were regular on the pill, and were fairly regular before I started. I have not had any bleeding for 5 months, and all of the pregnancy tests have been negative. I was told that it could take a few months for my cycles to return after stopping the pill. A bit about me and my history: I am a college student, graduating in the fall. I am overweight, but am in an exercise program (not too hardcore). I have a healthy diet, and a happy life with minimal stress.
Avatar n tn Are you seeing an RE? Have you had all the other hormone levels checked? An FSH test, for example, could give you an indication of your egg reserves. Good luck!
Avatar f tn I have PCOS and have been on the pill for 3years, I never missed my period whilst on the pill, but the doctor advised me to stop to see if my cycle had gone back to normal. I stopped in NOVEMBER and that was also my last period. However, from December I started having unprotected sex with my partner, whilst on holiday with him in December, i spotted atleast 3times for three consecutive days. I thought it was my period but no it wasn't.
Avatar f tn My gyno switched me to a stronger pill (orth-tricyclan) in April 2013... I took that for 2 months and was having dizzy spells so after my pack in May, my husband and I decided that I would just go off birth control totally and we would worry about other ways of protection. Since May, my life has been HELL. It started almost exactly a month after I quit birth control. I started getting burning pin pricks of pain all over my body. They only last a few seconds.

Avatar f tn It is possible that you could be pregnant. The home pregnancy tests look for the presence of the pregnancy hormone hCG in the urine. If the hormone level is not high enough to be detected you can get a negative result. The tests are most accurate 1 week after the first day of your missed period. Additionally you should test with the first urine of the morning. This is usually the most concentrated, and therefore has the highest level of the hormone.
