At the end of February I took a 10 day round of antibiotics to treat strep throat. On the last day of treatment I discovered a largish discoloured, reddish spot on my shoulder. I left it alone, within a couple of days, my one spot had went to a few spots. I tried to get into my doctor and was unable to for one week. Instead I went to a walk-in, they gave me ketocozonole 2% and a steroid 1%. Two weeks later, the spots are starting to lose the redness, just look a little white and dry now.
Recently I came down with an upper respiratory infection and the doctor prescribed me a penicillin to clear it up. I told the doctor that I had a yeast infection the last time I took an antibiotic. I purchased a probiotic but didnt take it till after the 3rd day of medication and the damage was done already. I got a yeast infection and I have had one before due to antibiotics so I knew what it was.
I've been taking Keflex and Prednisone for an ear infection that I've had for 2 months (this is my 3rd antibiotic in the last 2 months) and I have developed a very red rash starting right below the opening of my vagina, the skin beside it(kinda the start of my ver inner butt cheek), all the way up to my anus. The rash is itchy and sore (esp on my anus). It looks like a severe diaper rash. I've seen this type of rash on a friends child who had an external yeast infection.
I just finished taking Prednisone 2 days ago. And now I have a yeast infection. Is it safe to take Fluconazole now?
In December I noticed one tiny tear on right side labia, it was quite sore not like pimple or sebaceous cyst I would be prone to and I also had yeast infection. Treated yeast infection. 2 weeks ago suddenly had swollen itchy left labia much higher up, white cottage cheese etc. treated again for yeast. This time noticed 3 tiny sore tear/cuts inside on the mucosal membrane, LEFT side. Got very worried.
So the accidents in the house and straining to poop happened after the visit to the vet? Did you call your vet back and explain this? Not sure, but it could possibly be a side effect of the medicine for the thyroid medication and/or Prednisone. Google the medicine and see if those are listed as possible side effects. I know constipation can be one of them. Furthermore, Prednisone is notorious for side effects, included of which are gastointestinal problems and behavioral changes.
Hey! I have this problem too. People told me that I had a yeast problem & I said "no way" because I thought yeast meant vaginal problems, which I do not have. I did not yeast can be thru-out your body. any way, for me, & only as a suggestion for you, I use SolarRay yeast-cleanse which you can buy at most vitamin shoppes but if you find it works for you let me know & I will look up where I buy mine for a 1/2 the price. When I returned to the states I developed a mild yeast infection after intercourse—this infection just keeps coming back. Now my boyfriend has prostatitis—likely linked to the yeast. He informed me that he ex-wife used to get yeast infections all the time. I never had a yeast problem before, despite ejaculatory sex and b.c. pills with my ex-fiancé. Could my new boyfriend have been carrying yeast from his ex and passing to me? Or is his prostatitis all my fault? P.S.
Over a week ago I had a bad sinus infection I was given a Z Pak and Prednisone ( this might have nothing to do with this but i am wondering if I am having a reaction to either one) I have been off of both meds for about 3 days now after completing them and yesterday rash started on my neck and upper chest. I’ve been struggling for the last few years on and off with what I thought was a persistent yeast infection. However, I’ve been tested many times and it always came back negative. I felt as my general practitioner was very dismissive of me, so I decided to try a STD clinic earlier in the year. Despite not being sexually active, they did the standard STD test on me as well as testing for yeast and I came back negative for everything.
there were some red areas developing on the shaft mostly on the band right below the head and at the bottom area of the banded section. thought it may be a yeast infection as i've been sweating a lot at work and had to work some very long days and i've been eating like **** for the last month, so I tried some monistat on it and waited till today.

Hi there. Well, could be a yeast infection/overgrowth, yes. If you have never been diagnosed for a yeast infection, I would go the first time to your doctor to confirm. They'll help you treat it then and give you ideas why it is happening related to your period. So, yes, I'd see your doctor at this point.
Ugh. I used to have that issue with yeast when I had Cushings.

It sounds like classic Candida Yeast infection. Ask for the test, I bet it will show positive. It is a yeast that lives in the gut and can cause all kinds of problems, a lot of which you have. Google it, you will be amazed.
To help until you see a doctor, take a good, pro-biotic supplement, this will help but friendly bacteria back in your gut and system.
