I am in so much pain, abdominal. But I am also very constipated. And if I tale Motrin I get really big blood clots. Out the butt. I'm currently taking prednisone because my rectum blow up like a balloon. Motrin will give you all that pain. It's very hard on the stomach and causes reflux and gerd. Take a Prilosec and walk. Get the gas out. Gas pain can be extremely painful and stressing about it will just make it so much worse. I know this is an old post but wanted to help anyone reading.

I am currently on motrin, icing and electric stimulation to try to reduce inflamed area. Progress is slow at best. Should I consult a chiropractor?

I dont know where to post this but I had a really bad case of tonsilitis with sever swelling. my doc prescribed me prednisone 6 days pack and amoxicillin and 2 days into boh the medications i broke out in a rash. They immediately made me stop taking both medications and said since my symptoms were viral they didnt need to put me on any different kinds of medicine and to just stop with everthing I was taking before.

This stopped and later that night I woke up with a headache so severe I was bawling. I took two aspirin and 2 motrin and then drank a bottle of water. Hi im not sure about motrin but can tell you that for a while i was taking tylonolpms to sleep but they caused heart arythmias and a friend here told me to stop taking them as i dident know they were the cause and from the time i stoped useing them the heart arythmias stoped so im not saying the moltrin is the cause but yes that could be the cause but you should see your cardiologist to rule out another cause.

I am not very good with taking meds (consistently) and I really don't like how many meds (including over the counter type stuff) makes me feel. 4 months ago I began a therapy with prednisone (25 mg per day) and one month lather I got tested for hiv 1-2, the result hopefully was negative and all my blood exams were normal (but antibodies against HBV positive, without virus). My doctors said me that hiv is not a problem for me. However i began to worry again because it was been told me that prednisone is an immunosupressant and I fear that it could hide my hiv antibodies. What do you think about? Sould I have to get another test?

elavil has been found to help as well as nuerontin and prednisone if needed...i am a nurse and have seen patients in pain from sickle cell and i know it is excruciating..addiction and a disease like this would be tough...i wish u the best...relax if u can and drink plenty of fluids...have u tried steroids before for a crisis?

I would not be concerned about someone taking prednisone having sex and passing it to their partner. Are you allergic to prednisone for why you are asking?

I took prednisone 60mg plus 2 steroid dose packs plus a short acting and long acting steroid injection in the past 6 weeks. I have had 3 FNA's and they do hurt, and my throat hurt afterwards, the last 2 being done on the same nodule were the worst. Depending on where the nodule is, in my case at the back, low down and pressing on my trachea, you might get the pain you are talking about. The nerves run from front to back into the spine, so if you have had a nerve hit which is also a branched off nerve, you might be having pain there. Think of a tree.

No motrin is not safe you cant take any ibeprophen or asprin only tylenol is safe

Now when it happens it starts in my back and goes to my bottom and the backs of my legs. And even my stomach. I cant stand for anything to touch my skin when it is like this. The lightest touch puts me in tears. It has gotten worse each day so far. And i have been getting these random stabbing/shooting pains in different places. I went to the doctor today and she stated that i had bronchitis. But since there isnt anything on my skin she does not know what it is.
