Avatar f tn I went home in dire pain. Today is the 17th and while I still have a bit of pain in my groin area, the REAL pain is when I have a BM or I urinate. Is this unusual?
Avatar n tn This month I have been extremely fatigued and have had some chest pain. I had a EKG, Cardiolite Stress test, and now am scheduled for an angiogram. They tell me that everything seems normal, but a concern of a low ejection fraction and wall motion abnormality (expulsion of 45%). What will they be looking for with the angiogram?
Avatar m tn Has anyone had an angiogram with the catheter inserted in arm or neck instead of the groin? I don't think I could take the groin without serious nerve spasms.
Avatar f tn I had an angiogram 5 days ago, the first two days I couldn't move my leg too much, the 3rd day I was much better, 4th and 5th day (today) I have quite a bit of pain in the groin area, all around the site of the angiogram, quite a bit of bruising which I was expecting, but I don't know if this is normal or if I should go see a Dr.? The pain is not there all the time only with movement, ie. walking or standing even, if I just lay down it is not painful.
Avatar m tn Is the angiogram of leg advisable for the patients suffering from diabetics and foot ulcer? Please do reply for my question....
Avatar f tn I have just been scheduled for an angiogram and I'm scared to no end I have a 3 year old son I love to death same as my soon to be wife. I'm so scared something will go wrong during the surgery how coming are complications? Also my ej is 73 is this bad?
Avatar f tn Another thing to check for is leukemia as leg pain is a symptom. Our relative had blockage in her legs which the doctor said was nothing to worry about. She had to have her leg amputated and almost lost the other leg also. Better to be safe and get all the tests done.
Avatar m tn Had cath done yesterday closed with collegan plug..am in 7-8 on pain scale..can't put pressure to even go to bathroom..or put weight on right leg without pain..how long till this will diminish? Am at home now..what can I expect?
776302 tn?1241091853 I also passed out when they first got me out of bed in recovery (anesthesia reaction?). Leg pain and swelling was significant for over two weeks, and has been slowly getting better. My thigh was almost purple-black for over a week, but it has lightened up, and spread further down my leg. The color is almost back to normal (3 weeks later). I am using leg wraps and pain meds (Note: don't mix Tramadol and Narco! You may pass out) to reduce the swelling and discomfort.
Avatar f tn This is best diagnosed by duplex ultrasound (color dopplar) or by angiogram. Pain can also be felt post unaccustomed exercise due to muscle strain. Pain in the lower leg area can also be due to pinched spinal nerves in the lumbo-sacral area or a pinched nerve at the knee joint. A nerve conduction study should be done. A MRI of the lumbar spine should also be able to throw some light.

Avatar n tn hey my dad is suppose to go in for an angiogram but he fears what might happen to him if he does. i was wondering if there was possible any alternative procedure or something else he could possibly do.
Avatar m tn i had my bypass surgery done in1995 becuse of 3VD at that time. I was advised a Coronary Angiogram, after I complained about my chest pain after breakfast. Angiogram report came thus: LMCA :Normal LAD: total (100%) occlusion at mid segment ; LIMA to LAD patent LCX: total occlusion at mid segment ; SVG to OM - total occlusion at origin. RCA: Dominant ; total occlusion mid segment ;retrograde filling via bridging collaterals ; SVG to RCA - totally occluded at orogin Impression: Severe 3VD.
974371 tn?1424653129 t say we have the best doctors where I live. Anyway, I am afraid an angiogram will be ordered and I really do NOT want one of those done. No way could I get through that and understand they keep you awake? Wondering if there is an alternative and if anyone has had the angiogram done and what your experiences were.
Avatar m tn My husband had an angiogram days before Christmas they placed a stint in his left leg. for a few weeks, things seem to be fine, the color in his legs was looking better .Then a few days ago his right leg starts hurting to the point he can't walk then the swelling starts up his leg and spreads to the other leg and the groin. He had ultrasounds done and it;s not DVT. He was admitted to hospital where they gave him antibiotics to treat an infection and then discharged him a few days later.
Avatar n tn I have had an ECG stress test and a Myoview scan, both of which have shown an abnormal result. I now have to decide whether to have an angiogram but am worried about the risks involved. My cardiologist doesn't seem to think that any problems I have are too severe and that in fact there's a chance that both tests could be giving false positive results. I wondered whether cardiac MRI or cardiac computed tomography are a viable alternative to an angiogram ? Any advice would be appreciated.
Avatar m tn I still have some discolouration from that fall. I sometimes have knee pain on that leg to. I am 120kg which I know doesnt help and a bad asthmaticwhich keeps me from being active even with mediation. Would that brusing feeling come from the fall or something else?
Avatar n tn When l had an angiogram, l ended up with a large blood clot, in the top of my leg, which l later had to have removed, in order to save my life. Can l take any action against the person that did the original angiogram?
Avatar m tn My symptoms were chest pain in center of my chest, jaw pain and head pressure pain and dizziness..one strange symptom I get off and on is leg pain when I walk, the pain comes from my calves and feet and it's very painfully..does anyone know what might be going on, Im strongly considering going to see my doctor today and pushing for an angiogram. I did have stress test that was normal twoo years ago. And now he refuses to order any more test.. Thank you for you time..
1213000 tn?1280463161 On May 19, after a MRI stress test was abnormal and an angiogram showed diffuse restonosis of the LAD stents, I underwent CABG (4X). 10 weeks later, another abnormal MRI stress test and on 30 July another angiogram. the results of thst angiogram was, all stents are now closed, all grafts are open but there is flow irregularities that may be caused by size mismatch between the vein grafts and the native arteries. This is being treated with Metprolol 25 mg and Diltiazem 120.
Avatar m tn If he is having chest pains while resting it seems it may be vasospasms. I have these and my biggest complaint is the spasms that wake me from a dead sleep. I have to get up and take a Nitro tablet to stop the pain. I have had as many as 5 in the same night. The odd thing about these spasms is they started after the stent was placed in '04. As soon as the stent was placed in the artery it (possibly that part of my heart) went into a spasm.
Avatar m tn Hi i read your post...the main thing to do is to call the doctor for advise on this to make sure that it is nothing more that area sensitivity to the cath being inserted. I don't think anyone can suggest pain killers but the doc should have told you what to do if you still had pain...no doubt they will tell you to ice the immediate area howeve if the area is red, hot, swollen and painful you need to call the doc immediately to let them know...
