Yes I did tell them. The pneumonia symptoms are starting to clear up I don't have a fever, never had a cough, starting to breathe better, and I have a lot more energy but still a bit light headed and throat is kind of sore and my voice hasn't return fully. I have been tested will get the results tomorrow.
The past few days I thought I had a minor cold since I was coughing a bit, have a headache, and feel a bit of pressure while breathing. I figured I would just wait it out because a cold isn't anything to worry about. Well, my husband had the same symptoms as well, but when he woke up today, it was harder for him to breathe so he went to the hospital and found out he had walking pneumonia but was given nothing to treat it because they said he has to get over it himself.

The development of more symptoms, in the face of antibiotic therapy, is worrisome as is the “side pain” which I assume to be pleurisy and suggests that this infection may fall into the category of complicated pneumonia. In this circumstance you should definitely request careful reevaluation by your doctor or his designate to include at a minimum a repeat chest X-ray, a complete blood count and culture of your sputum.

Diagnosis is done by physical examination. Sometimes chest X-ray may be needed.
I feel that you should get yourself examined by a physician so as to reach a confirmatory diagnosis as treatment is diagnosis specific.
I have had bronchitis 3 times, pneumonia once, and a sinus infection once...in the past 3 months. I feel confused alot. My blood test show highly elevated white blood cells. First it was my lymphocytes, then it was my neutraphils, then it was my lymphocytes. Then my WBC dropped to a normal level, but my neutrophils were really low. The doc says she thinks its an autoimmune disease, a blood production disease or cancer.
One might suspect that you have underlying asthma and that when you get a viral infection each year, it triggers pneumonia –like symptoms. (Most HIV infected people who get pneumonia have been seriously ill for several months before pneumonia appears. Pneumonia out of the blue does not suggest HIV.) The "vaginal infections", diarrhea, gingivitis, sinusitis, and your self-diagnosis of enlarged lymph nodes probably are meaningless as well.

You are very confident in those test. Swollen lymph nodes, rashes, aphthous ulcer, rasping breath sounds and a very dry irritating cough, tiredness etc. doesn't look like suspicious to you. OK, I don't expect that you will say "Ooh you have those symptoms, you are positive." No! Actually I was only asked a question about PCP pneumonia. Can someone have PCP pneumonia for 3 months without temperature?
I'm 21 years old. I've been sick for about 6 weeks now. My symptoms are extreme fatigue, weight loss (about 12 pounds), difficulty breathing, and bruising very easily. I just checked out of the hospital yesterday, where I was admitted for pneumonia and a high WBC count. When I checked out, I was told my WBC is still too high, and that I'll need to get it checked soon.
It's not safe to be sick while pregnant. Your temperature should not exceed 102.5 or so for the health of your baby. If your mom or anyone close to you is sick it is highly advised you stay away from them till symptoms subside. My brother in law lives with us and has bad allergies and though they aren't contagious I enforce him taking his meds like crazy! You should definitely go to a doctor to be safe. Better safe than sorry.

i have been showing signs of pneumonia lately and also felt a small bum under my armpit but cannot see anything. what i want to know is can the axillary lymph node be linked to pneumonia because usually i hear it swells in the neck? i also was using doxycycline 100 mg and septra for chlamydia. its kinda strange how pneumonia just popped up a while after my chlamydia and cleared up. i am really freaking out im going for a test today.

from the immense amount of reading i have done on the web, diarrhea is one of the symptoms but i have also read that the hiv symptoms do not occur in singles, so u'd have a lot of other symptoms also together, but i 'd let one of the doctors confirm it for you.
A1C normal as well. my symptoms have become more progressive over last 6 months. i had pneumonia in 2009 with radiologists declaring after several cts, bone scans that i possibly had metastatic cancer or possibly "myelo -something leukemia". after 9 months of testing nothing showed up. i continue to be followed every 6 months by oncology. could this possibly be some form of leukemia. i feel something is off.
