1794638 tn?1345155061 Hepatitis C is a reportable disease. All Hepatitis C diagnoses must be reported by the doctor, health care professional, or health care facility that recieves the results. I don't know if they are required to be notified of cures, but they do have statistics on cures so maybe they do. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/001929.htm "Reportable diseases are diseases considered to be of great public health importance.
Avatar f tn t know how the statistics would apply to someone in their 90s; nor if old age has an impact on how quickly the disease advances. I would think that old age could very well take the person before they actually succumb to the disease... but, that's just my non-professional, uneducated guess.
Avatar f tn If pneumonia, is this a new pneumonia, a pneumonia condition caused by the flu virus itself, or standard pneumonia(s)? If a standard pneumonia, will a pneumonia shot five years ago give any protection, and/or would one now give any protection? Also, will Tamiflu from 2004 still work?
Avatar f tn doctors were having some suspections about him as he was a down baby only by his facial appearence.my baby died because of pneumonia and diareah. he was then hospiyalised for 10 days before his death .please advise.
769503 tn?1238496321 well any heart condition is a worry but let me put this into perspective. The UK has very good survival statistics with heart surgery, and the expected survival rate for valve repair/replacement is around 97-98% which includes the patients risk factors. You can't expect anything better really. If it was 50-60% then I would be worried. I hope this puts your mind at ease. If you have any other concerns, please don't hesitate to ask.
Avatar f tn Doctors use statistics to come to many decisions which in my opinion is wrong because it's still down to individual cases and how can you say if someone will be 1% or 99% in the statistical probability. Anyway, here are some criteria for NOT doing CPR because the probability of survival is 0%.... Septal shock, acute stroke, metastic cancer, severe pneumonia. other criteria where CPR may be performed but survival is around 4% Very low blood pressure, kidney failure, AIDS, age > 70.
Avatar m tn I know many of the symptoms of HIV are nonspecific but I got scared when one of the symptoms I heard online were pneumonia. My symptoms were more of acute bronchitis then anything else, as my fevers were very mild and my heart not racing. After taking taking 5 day course of Azithromycin, I feel alot better, but I am still very tired and still spitting up sputum which was yellow at first but the past few days completely clear.
Avatar n tn I am curious what the statistics are for false positives in igg hsv2 testing and how accurate they are. Thanks! I can't seem to find them anywhere.

10947 tn?1281404252 We hope to launch Tracker Statistics in the near future, which will analyze and calculate various statistics based on the data that you enter into your trackers. For example, we might show the average follicular and luteal phases for the ovulation tracker, or 7-day, 30-day and 90-day trends for the weight tracker. In addition, we might show a list of your most frequent symptoms.
Avatar f tn Not so much a question but just a conversation I guess about herpes Statistics... I have been reading this forum for the last couple of weeks and even answered some questions on here... One thing that I find myself to be skeptical of is the statistics that are given about people who have herpes... Supposedly one in five people have genital herpes and anywhere from 50% to 85% of people have oral herpes... I guess I'm just a little bit doubtful that that many people have this virus...
Avatar m tn One thing I cannot find is actual statistics stating how many people actually experience these side effects. 1in 5? 1in 10? Anyone know?? Thanks!!
