Common Questions and Answers about Pink discharge before labour

Avatar f tn Hi girls i am 31 weeks pregnant and i have just gone to toilet and noticed pink discharge? is this normal?
280369 tn?1316705641 I am only 29w 3d and I am now freaking out because I went to the bathroom had some pink discharge when I wiped. I have been feeling weird down there today as well. I don't know how to describe it. I'm scared and don't want this little one coming now....I had more contractions than normal today...but they are dwindling down again. Only a couple were really strong..the others just felt like BH. I am getting ready to call my midwife....
Avatar f tn I was using the bathroom and this big brownish with red n pink mucus thing came out of me and now im cramping so bad.. does anyone know what it could me???
Avatar f tn I had a small bleed straight after n then light pink discharge for rest of the day. The next morn I lost a lump of Brown tinged mucus which in guessing was my plug. Since the sex I have had painful Braxton hicks on and off. I did have a lot of aching like before u get your period but that has worn off now. Could these be signs of early labour. It's tues night now how ling do u think could take before things actually happen?
6520484 tn?1399085998 Im sorry to hear that you are at high risk, but thank God you made it to the third trimester! Just try not to put to much stress on your body, such as exercising and such. Preterm labor often starts without obvious symptoms. But you may notice one or more symptoms, including: Menstrual-like cramps, with or without diarrhea. A feeling of pressure in your pelvis or lower belly. A persistent, dull ache in your lower back, pelvic area, lower belly, or thighs.
1171250 tn?1268738422 Well i don't know how much help i will be as both my babies were ceasers. However with my first i was in labour for 10 hours before i had the c- section. I think they say real labour is when the contractions are regular and have been coming for a fair amount of time. Most of the time you should go to the hospital (depending how far away you live) when contractions are regular and about 5 minutes apart or when your water breaks as leaving it too long can lead to infection.
Avatar f tn So I know there's a time differance within UK and the US so I hope this makes sense. Yesterday morning at 4am I had a show of pinkish blood. I'd had a bit if tightening and the day before a few shooting pains down below. At 4pm the same day after id wiped a noticed a jelly like transparent substance in a clump then a few hours latter I got another smaller amount of it. I'm assuming this is my mucus plug am I right. Its now 1.
Avatar f tn 37 weeks and have been cramping a lot. I noticed earlier today some brown discharge when I wiped and then when I went recently, there was a lot of pressure when I peed and the discharge was more noticeable and darker. Does this mean labor is coming soon?
11003842 tn?1433999358 Ever since have been having regular pains and tightenings and again before went to the toilet, wiped and had more pink discharge! Hopefully this is it and we get to meet our little mister or miss very soon! If not, i'm booked in for induction Monday night anyway :D SO EXCITED!!!
Avatar f tn This morning 30/06, l had a large black cottage cheese like lump discharged followed by small black/brown lumps with brown/pink spotting when i wipe. I have been cramping pretty badly from 2 days after transfer until yesterday, very mild cramping so far today. My nurse told me that crinone gel was stopped because my progesterone & hcg levels were healthy 65 & 255. Can someone please please let me know the the required progesterone and hcg levels 14 days post transfer?
353148 tn?1293064764 I have not personally gone through IVF yet, but I have heard a lot of people talk about having discharge (even bloody discharge) and still come out being Preggo! so not sure exactly what it means, but I do know that it could be a good sign!!! Good luck, i'm hoping this one does the trick, when do you test?? I'll be praying for you that you get your BFP soon!
Avatar f tn I also have this problem (age 31)-- watery discharge with my period and gushes of it! Only recently have I noticed the watery discharge mid cyle -- or about 10 days before my period started. My obgyn has no clue as to what the fluid might be. I've been pretty exhausted lately and after a recent series of blood tests, was diagnosed as very anemic. I don't know if the two are related -- possibly fibroids? I've also been plagued with yeast infections for the last 5 or so years.
Avatar n tn I got belly ache after that. I got it 2 weeks before my period which I'm sure before I got Implantation bleeding my periods were irregular but the thing is I received my period 2 weeks later which was strange I guess I'm not pregnant cause If I am I would be a few Months pregnant and not know.
551604 tn?1333986735 This has never happened to me before. Did any of you ladies get this before giving birth? I like your responses better than my OB's, lol. Any experiences would be helpful.
Avatar n tn I will be 38 weeks on Wednesday and my discharge (gross!) is thicker and heavier. Is this normal? It is not pink or anything, but I have definently noticed it. I have also been experiencing abnormal contractions for the past 2 weeks on and off. They go away after a few hours and don't come every day. My doctor told me to time them and if they start coming regularly, to go to the hospital. I have an appointment with my doctor on Friday to schedule my induction for 39 weeks pregnant.
Avatar n tn What you're noticing is probably normal leukorrhea (NOT LEUCORRHOEA) — the odorless or mild-smelling milky discharge that you occasionally noticed in your underwear before you were pregnant. There's just a lot more of it now, partly because of increased estrogen production and greater blood flow to the vaginal area. This discharge is made up of secretions from the cervix and vagina, old cells from the walls of the vagina, and normal bacterial flora from the vagina.
Avatar n tn I am 30 and this is my first time trying to get pregnant. I have had had 2 "chemical pregnancies" in the past 6 months. (Chemical pregnancies are early miscarriages at 4-5 weeks.) I am currently 4 weeks pregnant again and keeping my fingers crossed that this one is going to last. With my first 2 miscarriages, I had a lot of dark brown & pink discharge that was kind of stringy when I wiped. I knew right from the start that they wouldn't hold.
272759 tn?1270489194 ) Much labor to you guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Avatar n tn I have never had this before either could this be a sign of pregnancy? The discharge started around the time of my missed period and is still there.
Avatar f tn (It is not absolutely necessary for this to happen before labour, as it can also be passed during the labour and birth process). If it is a show, it will normally be very thick and mucous-like. It can be grey, pink, brown or blood stained in colour. The show may come away in small dribs and drabs as you wipe yourself with toilet paper over a few days, or it may come out in a large 'blob', sometimes large enough to fill your hand.
1477979 tn?1288013894 I had no pain, or cramps and had very high HCG levels at one point.. The most I had prior to finding out was a slight pink discharged a couple days after I found out I was pregnant and it did not last long and I didnt find out the pregnancy was not viable until 7 weeks after that (when I was apparently 12 weeks pregnant - the gest sac measured 7 weeks 5 days). Best of luck but there is definately a chance you might end up miscarriage.
Avatar f tn It's really globby and stringy a LOT of it. For me it was anyway. You can always loose it earlier but it will regenerate itself if it's not close to labour time.
Avatar n tn i was reading about this yesterday, your uterus actually drops so it does affect the measurement so don't worry. same with losing weight before going into labour. and at this point the pink could be either from the exan or the internal may have got things going a bit. so i guess you just have to wait and see!
8171031 tn?1399331234 My midwife discribed it as a a bloody mucus discharge. (Pink in colour, or red tinged mucus) even if you get it, it does nt mean your going to go in labour, it could be weeks before you actually go into labour after loosing your mucus plug.
Avatar f tn i had sex like 2 days ago but the same day after i have sex i went to the bathroom and i discharge something that look like a sperm cell and today i went to the bathroom and i discharge this pink thingi is there a possibilty that im pregnant
7642836 tn?1410614640 Im going to call my doctor in the morning, maybe they will see me
Avatar f tn So im 37week about to be 38weeks in a few days and today ive been peeing even more frequently than usual n every time i go to the bathroom ive been having a lot of discharge and like my ovaries or something feels really sore and tender sorry for the tmi lol. And ive been getting a lot of cramps like right below my belly but not in my stomach. Is that my mucus plug coming out? And do u think im having small contractions or possible braxton hicks? Is this jus my body getting ready?
Avatar f tn Still having pink discharge so I'll definitely go this afternoon. You're right. .
Avatar n tn It is pretty thick, and like a larger amount of vaginal discharge. It is whitish/clear, and may also be tinged with pink or brown. Some women lose their plug a few weeks before labor, and some just in early labor. If you are pretty sure you lost it, pay close attentio to your body. Don't be embarassed to call your Dr. either.
