90% of my use was vicodin. I just had a 3 week or so relapse. I took percocet for the 3 weeks. I had worse wds from that short amount of time than I had with 2 years of vics. Hey there.....I don't know about percocet but I took tramadol with vicodin before. I take tramadol and my script was running out before I could get it refilled so I took the vicodin to help make what tramadol I had left, last. So, medically I think it wouldn't hurt anything to take them. You just have to be very careful with tramadol! I am in the process of trying to ween off of it and my dr.

Okay I am getting so many mixed messages!! I am getting off of Vicodin and Percocet..but I have a chronic illness that every month puts me in pain. So doctor says if I dont take the ultram, the pain will make me pass out, which I have done many times,then have to go to the ER, yea it SUX! So my question is..If I take like 2 ultrams a month..is that going to ruin everything I have accompplished and turn into a problem. I have been clean for 14days.But took 1 ultram because of my problem!!

From my pain management/spine specialist, I am currently prescribed percocet one tablet of 5-325 twice a day as needed for pain. I am also prescribed Tramadol 50 mg tablet: take one tablet daily as needed for breakthrough pain. Currently I have been taking one tablet of tramadol mid morning and one tablet of percocet at night. My question is are any of you prescribed 3 different pain medications?

My question relates to liver damage related to the use/abuse of pain medication. By pain medication I mean OTC(Tylenol/Advil) and of course, Vicodin and Percocet. The short version is: For the last 10 months I have struggled with lower back pain. I am 24 years old, 6'5'', 220lbs and generally healthy/athletic build. I started taking a lot of Tylenol(4g a day, but never more), sometimes mixed with Advil to curb my back pain. I then moved on to the doctor and go prescribed Vicodin.

Percocet has oxycodone in it rather than the hydrocodone in Vicodin. Oxycodone is stronger than hydrocodone. In my experience, the oxy worked better and I had less side effects (upset stomach and "dumb" feeling).

hello my name is tim ive been doing between 10 to 20 perk 5mg a day if i cant find perks i take vicodin ive been trying to quit for the longest i now have my mind really set on it , i quit about a year ago the withdrawls were so bad im scared to quit again but i have to can anyone give me some advice on anyway to make the withdrawls easier or if i should slowly get off or what i could do please help.

I have been treated w/Vicodin for awhile now for chronic pain. I have now moved from the US to India, where it is not available. Any recommendation for alternatives? I can't take codeine long term, and take Effexor, neurontin and metformin daily, w/Soma PRN as well. I can have scripts shipped here if need be, but wold prefer to avoid the hassle/expense.

I am assuming the dentist gave you the Vicodin. The percocet is a bit stronger than the vicodin. I would go to the ER as they are usually very good about treating this kind of pain when you can't get into see your dentist. Where are you getting the percocet? Is it from an older prescription?
