pacemaker

Avatar f tn After watching the video.. I truly believe he (DJ) was a really good person.. who CARED about people...
Avatar m tn Thanks for the info, that was a huge needle but you don't really feel it? I saw on the right hand side there was a video for the "human decomposition of a body in a casket" The poor person in that casket will never know he had his 15 minutes of fame.
Avatar m tn Also he has a pacemaker, presumably this was to assist heart function? What was his ef when he got the pacemaker put in? Is he able to do any exercise? Presumably he has exercise tolerance issues? Exercise is usually the doctors opening line of discussion. He may need a review of his current medication , and some meds do help boost EF. Dont know if this helps......
Avatar n tn the 3 wire pacemaker could need to be programed again after a year of instalation?
341190 tn?1295467125 Hi All, I had a pacemaker fitted last april since then i have been really tired, i have had a few problems along the way, my lung collapsed then i had water on it now i have blood on it, but it,s the tiredness i cant cope with even if i sleep for over 12 hours, im wondering if anyone else has been through this.
Avatar n tn Also, since the conduction system of the heart runs close to the aortic valve, when the valve gets calcified as is the case with Ank Sp, one can develop heart block and require a pacemaker.
Avatar n tn My hobby had a bi v pacemaker put in 4 years .workedcfine so far. Unfortunately he caught some bug , turned out to staff auri or something. Inf d team strongly suggested removal of the device so it was done. Now heis without on. He is 72 y old. His choices. Amio Duran or life vest. A miowould help with the hr. but we r concerned about the other issues. It will be at least 6 months before they put. A new device.
Avatar n tn The nurses are in here since mid week listening to my heart like every fifteen minutes. I also have a low grade fever for the past couple days. They want to give me a pacemaker. Why are the nurses listening to my heart so much and I feel like they should hurry up and put the pacemaker in sooner. My ejection fraction I heard the cadiologist tell my husband is 8. How do you suggest they treat my condition and what is happening to me. I feel like I am going to be on a transplant list soon.
572651 tn?1530999357 DJ is in a serious medical crisis and currently in ICU. She has been there since Tuesday and I have been waiting to know more before telling you this news. You probably remember that she recently had her morphine pump exchanged for a different unit. Unknown to the surgeon, she has an extensive abdominal and bladder infection.
611606 tn?1315517767 Hi, DJ. It's so nice hearing from you again, even if the news is not good. I'm so sorry about your increase in pain. It's good that you're being seen right away. I did want to say that what you and Moki are going through is far worse than tics. A tic is more like a tiny muscle twitch, but the body or extremity doesn't actually move. People often get tics in eyelids, and I'm having one now in the heel of my hand.
Avatar f tn It will be important for the cardiologist to review the video, and try to correlate it to the current anatomy. Depending upon how often these events happen, some type of heart rate monitoring should probably be performed to see if you can document any arrhythmia during these episodes. If that comes up negative, then it may need to go back to the neurologist for video-EEG monitoring. When reading your posting, my thought was seizure activity.
572651 tn?1530999357 Cat, indeed! Poor DJ has been through so much! I'm glad she called you, and, DJ, if you're lurking, I send lots of love and hugs, and wishes for speedy recovery.
572651 tn?1530999357 Hey everyone - here's the news. DJ and her daughter Lori are on a United flight out of LAX Saturday morning, 10:30ish. It is a direct flight to PA, so no layovers. Please keep a positive thought, say a prayer, spin around three times and spit - whatever it is you do! LOL - that they have a safe journey and encounter kind, compassionate workers at LAX, in the security line, on the flight and arrive intact and in good spirits in Pennsylvania.
572651 tn?1530999357 Saying prayers for our DJ today.
572651 tn?1530999357 DJ continues to be a guest of the hospital in Arcadia. They removed the intrathecal morphine pump last week. The spot where the lines went into her spine continue to leak spinal fluid, so they are going to do a blood patch on Monday. Here's hoping it helps. They have not yet found a way to handle her pain that she gets from the extreme spasms she experiences, and she is relying on the oral morphine to take the edge off. The movers come Monday morning for her household goods.
572651 tn?1530999357 Happy, happy birthday DJ!!! I hope it is a wonderful party! Thanks for letting us know, Lulu.
Avatar f tn It can also manually capture an “event” if you use the external activator at the time he is symptomatic. It is then “interrogated” like a pacemaker, so that all events can be viewed. Certainly, for a 6-year old, a heart rate >230, especially at rest, is likely to be abnormal, such as supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), so this should be further evaluated as needed and treated. With a history of structural cardiac disease, he is certainly at greater risk to have SVT.
572651 tn?1530999357 I am so glad you were able to make it over to see DJ. What a special day you both must have had. DJ looks like she is feeling better and G-d willing this new neuro will be able to help her with the pain. I hope DJ will tell us about her experience with the sitting MRI. I've heard of it before but don't know a single person who has done it yet. Sounds better than lying down. She'll do great. Love to you both.
Avatar f tn Ive never been to a baby shower with a dj either lol. Ive had two babyshowers now and been to several.
572651 tn?1530999357 s mama is her lifeline in so many ways, and lives in the same building and helps with the daily tasks that would be impossible for DJ to do on her own. They truly are partners, and DJ constantly tells me how important her mama is to her. The fear of losing her, on so many levels, is truly difficulty to begin to understand unless you were in DJ's position. Getting to the hospital is difficult, because DJ uses her motorized wheelchair to get around town.
