Common Questions and Answers about Oxybutynin for sweating

Avatar f tn Sometimes, I will sweat around my armpits when it is cold out. This is not enough to cause dripping sweat, but it is enough to darken the armpit-area of my clothes and feel moist to touch. It started when I was 17, but actually went away for a couple of years and I have noticed it coming back. I would not consider this excessive sweat, just inappropriate sweat. Using certain-dri has helped, but I would like to try and find a way to deal with this without things like that.
Avatar f tn Hello Everyone, I am a 32 male, 5'10, 205lbs. I work out 5-6 times a week and eat on the healthier side. As far back as I can remember I get hot extremely easily and sweat profusely on my forehead, middle of my chest, and middle of my back. The heat seems to come in almost a wave, and I can feel it rising until it reaches my head(hope this description makes sense), and I can never seem to cool down. An odd part about this is, on occasion, my feet will be extremely cold at the same time.
4133020 tn?1350310377 My 13 year old daughter is swelling in her hands and feet very bad! Her finger tips are turning blue and she says it hurts in the palm of her hand. Her feet when swelled burns whens she walks. She's had a sweating problem for awhile now and takes Oxybutynin Chloride 5mg x 3 a day. Even though the med had been controlling the sweating, she's sweating very bad. She's freezing cold and then the next minute she's hot. She's very tired and weak.
Avatar m tn That is NOT good for your dog. Watch for any odd behaviors, and be ready to go to the vet at anytime.

Avatar m tn My kid had his Nephrectomy (right) at his 1 year age and is adviced to undergo Urodynamics for analysing his bladder capacity. Need to know at what age is a urodynamics study suggestable in children. We feel like he is too young to undergo this study. Also, we are now using Oxybutynin - 2.5 mg per day through which he is able to sustain for 3 to 3.5 hours. If we stop using that, the child starts a little drizzling in drops. We are using this medicine since last 1 year.
Avatar f tn WHAT CAN I DO? IT IS VERY EMBARRESING FOR HER. SHE MUST ALWAYS COVER HERSELF WITH SOMETHING TO HIDE THE WETNESS. ANOTHER DR SAID STRESS IS CAUSING IT. THIS DR DID BLOOD TESTS.
Avatar f tn All of these symptoms were brushed off for the last year or two but a few months ago I was put on oxybutynin for palmar hyperhydrosis, which helped for a while until I began to feel out of it. This is when all my symptoms started happening at once to the point where it is debilitating. I got off the medicine and felt a little better but still not normal. Met with an endocrinologist and had a blood pressure of 165/76 and bloodwork done. Lab Work 1: TSH 1.35 (.45-4.5) uIU/mL Free T4 2.07 (.
Avatar f tn Can I take 2 or 3 Ibuprofen and 1 phenazoptridine 100mg and 1 oxybutynin 5mg The Dr, gave me Cipro to take 2 hrs, before I go to Drs, will this help me or not? If not what can I do to prevent the bad pain I hear about after stent removal. please help me.
Avatar f tn Funny enough you mention this I took Oxybutynin for awhile and a bit excessively, I keep thinking that this messed up my gut and caused this curse of a phenomenon.
Avatar m tn hi ya thanks for replying im desparate for help !. i am 28yrs old they have tested me for urine infections, stones also testing me for clamadia ?..
Avatar f tn I'm 33 year old male, I was diagnosed with phimosis 2yrs ago. I've been having the constant urge to urinate but with only a low flow and sometimes spraying. I've been through testing for uti, std, bladder cancer (cystoscopy) but yet know one can give me an answer as to why I always have the urge. I've taken meds (flomax, oxybutynin, and diptromin) none of them worked. Help!!! I'm to young for this to be happening.

Avatar f tn It affects mostly hands wrists elbows and occasionally feet. I also have marfan syndrome (mild) and have had cardiac ablation for 2 extra pathways through AV node still have an inappropriate sinus tachycardia. My question. I get parasthesias starting I'n my hands and feet starting a few hours after sun exposure. I try to minimize sun exposure but not always possible. After a sunny week parasthesias will last into the first few cloudy days. My rheumologist says he has never heard of this.
Avatar f tn Get your urologist or GP to prescribe you an anti-spasmodic medication. I use Oxybutynin, as it works best for me, but there are numerous others on the market. Are you sure your stone is 4cm??? That's awfully large for a kidney-stone. There are 'staghorn' stones that form inside the kidney itself and fill the cavities of the kidney (the 'poles' of the kidney) that may get that large, but the chances of having a 4cm stone in your bladder are slim.
Avatar f tn I've been taking Lovastatin for 2 months. For the past couple of weeks I've been experiencing aching kidneys and I'm very tired. I had blood work done today for follow up of the drug and notified the doctor that I had this problem. My body temperature is 96.8, which I realize is a bit low, but perhaps normal? Could the achiness be due to the Lovastatin? I'm quite concerned about this and have had kidney problems as a child.
Avatar n tn My 7 y.o. is awaiting a pediatric urology appt but is currently taking oxybutynin 10 mg. After months of her primary thinking it was vag related, a ped gyn dx'd bladder contraction/spasms. These are daily... all day... and now waking her in the night. She is going half crazy from the constant discomfort, which she eases by pressing on her vag area. This is interfering, of course, with her everday life.
461014 tn?1233100391 My 6yr old still has issues with wetting the bed at night and having accidents during the day. We have had her tested quite a few times in the past few years for bladder infections and we have even tried Oxybutynin. The doctor can never seem to find any "problems" that are causing her to have these accidents. He just says she should out grow it. But it's only seeming to get worse. She wets the bed almost everynight and she's been having more than one accident a day at school.
Avatar f tn What treatments have worked for you? The Dr. recently put me on Vesicare, but I heard it has some bad side effects, anyone have any opinions or thoughts on that?
Avatar f tn Also I urinat about 20 times a day and about 15 times at night yes I have tried vesicare and oxybutynin. I also have just had a bladder distention but all this was going on before the bladder distention.
Avatar m tn I had been on Methimazole for my hyperthyroidism but the reason why I had to stop mine was because of hives. As for profuse sweating--I had the profuse sweating (amongst many other unpleasant symptoms) BEFORE I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism (Grave's for me). I have been taking PTU (prophylthiouracil) for almost 4 years and no major side effects.
Avatar m tn For about two years now I have been experiencing incredibly odd excessive sweating. The sweating comes out pretty much every inch of my body - head, chest, shoulders, arms, back, legs, etc. Nothing in particular tend to bring on the sweating sometimes I'll just be watching tv, driving in the car, reading. I'll often wake up in the middle of the night sweating as well, often needing to urinate as well.
1888430 tn?1322319949 A cold washcloth on the forehead will help with that - the sweating went on for me for quite a while - like the others who posted, it was less and less with time - in fact, stopped for a while, only to return months later. But eventually it stopped for good.
Avatar m tn Since it's been 2 years since the last time I was clean (for awhile anyways) I cant seem to remember when those "fun" sweats go away. I'm over 8/9 days clean and still have them somewhat...from time to time. It's much more mild then they were and seem to be getting a great deal better but anyone that has had it knows its uncomfortable regardless. To those that have experienced it how long did it take you for that to go away?
