Common Questions and Answers about Oxybutynin ditropan

ditropan

Avatar f tn Sometimes anticholinergic medications like oxybutynin (ditropan), detrol or vesicare may help. Please consult your doctor, he will prescribe appropriate medications for you. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
Avatar n tn The surgery was a success and I was sent home with 4 medications. Oxycodone, Ciprofloxacin, Docqlace, and Oxybutynin Chloride. Was not a fun few days after. I had a stent put in and have an appointment to have it removed on the 31st. I thankfully didn't need the pain medication after 5 days or so, so I stopped taking them but still took everything else. I started feeling more 'normal' and more so after no kidney or bladder pains while I'd urinate.
Avatar m tn Is Oxybutynin dangerous to dogs? I am not sure my dog ate a pill, but I did drop 1 or 2 on the floor. I found one. My 6-month-old spaniel/lab mix is about 30 lbs.
Avatar m tn My urologist prescribed Ditropan, which I took for about a year, which helped at first. Flomax was added the following year, which again worked for awhile, but the symptoms returned after 6 months or so. The Flomax caused retrograde ejaculation, which bothered me because in the past, I had always shot a fairly substantial load when I ***.
Avatar f tn I have started Ditropan XL 5mg HS without any change in the droplets. Any ideas as to what I should or could try next? My urologist thinks my sxs are overactive bladder. How can this be resolved?
1188179 tn?1350116119 I have been on Ditropan, then Ditropan XR (or EX, don't remember which is correct) and after about 10 years that didn't work, so my doctor put me on Enablex and that works pretty well. Then I got a new Dr. and he wanted to switch me to Vesicare. That didn't work well, either, and I began having episodes of incontinence and urgency again. It's almost open enrollment for Medicare Part D, and the plan that is the most affordable otherwise doesn't cover Enablex at all anymore.
Avatar f tn I have had total bladdure failure and have taken Detrol and Ditropan with no good result. I am seeing the ururologist tomorrow and am worried that he will chalk this up to MS and tell me to live with it. Have any of you experienced this? Are there other remedies out there for this? I dont want to live with this, making me very upset. I appreciate it and thanks.
Avatar n tn Hi, You can ask your doctor to prescribe some antispasmodics, such as Ditropan, for relieving the bladder spasms. If the spasms are under control even the frequency will decrease to a considerable extent. Additionally, you can also request prescription for some low-dose sedatives, maybe from the benzodiazepine group, to get you through the first week or so. Do not continue the sedatives longer than 10-12 days as they have the potential to cause dependence.
Avatar f tn Funny enough you mention this I took Oxybutynin for awhile and a bit excessively, I keep thinking that this messed up my gut and caused this curse of a phenomenon.
Avatar f tn Can I take 2 or 3 Ibuprofen and 1 phenazoptridine 100mg and 1 oxybutynin 5mg The Dr, gave me Cipro to take 2 hrs, before I go to Drs, will this help me or not? If not what can I do to prevent the bad pain I hear about after stent removal. please help me.
Avatar f tn I'm 33 year old male, I was diagnosed with phimosis 2yrs ago. I've been having the constant urge to urinate but with only a low flow and sometimes spraying. I've been through testing for uti, std, bladder cancer (cystoscopy) but yet know one can give me an answer as to why I always have the urge. I've taken meds (flomax, oxybutynin, and diptromin) none of them worked. Help!!! I'm to young for this to be happening.
Avatar m tn The Hyperhydrosis can be treated with Ditropan or its generic. A colleague took this on an as needed basis during stressful instances and he said it worked well. However, I don't think its related to the three other challenges you face: dandruff, eczema, and tinnitus. Each of these show signs of some underlying allergies. There are skin allergy tests, blood (RAST) tests, and elimination tests.
Avatar f tn Hello Everyone, I am a 32 male, 5'10, 205lbs. I work out 5-6 times a week and eat on the healthier side. As far back as I can remember I get hot extremely easily and sweat profusely on my forehead, middle of my chest, and middle of my back. The heat seems to come in almost a wave, and I can feel it rising until it reaches my head(hope this description makes sense), and I can never seem to cool down. An odd part about this is, on occasion, my feet will be extremely cold at the same time.
Avatar f tn Hi, The med methotextrate has a warning on the packet in australia for sun exposure. It has a warning that sun exposure can make you feel ill and exacerbate any symptoms. Hope this help Take care.
Avatar f tn What rmprdl1964 said... ask your Urologist for an anti-spasmodic. I've used Ditropan generic name: oxybutynin) and it's worked extremely well for Foley discomfort, but there are a ton of anti-spasmodics/bladder relaxers on the market. If it's actual pain your feeling and not discomfort, again, what rmprdl1964 said. Narcotic pain-killers are an unfortunate necessity in our business of urinary system issues & problems.
Avatar f tn Get your urologist or GP to prescribe you an anti-spasmodic medication. I use Oxybutynin, as it works best for me, but there are numerous others on the market. Are you sure your stone is 4cm??? That's awfully large for a kidney-stone. There are 'staghorn' stones that form inside the kidney itself and fill the cavities of the kidney (the 'poles' of the kidney) that may get that large, but the chances of having a 4cm stone in your bladder are slim.
Avatar n tn On Aug. 16, 08 I took my 3yr old daughter in because she said her pee hurts. After doing a urinalysis it showed that she had an elevated wbc so they put her on amoxicillen she remained on that for 10 days. On the 7th day of the amox. she went back to have a repeat urinalysis when those test results came back it showed that the amox. wasn't working. So the Dr. prescribed Septra on Aug.25th She remained on that for 10 days. On the fourth day off the Septra the "bad pee" was back.
Avatar f tn PS. The other drugs I'm taking are...Chlortalidone, Oxybutynin, and Lisinopril. I take cal/citrate, fish oil, flax and E along with those prescribed meds.
Avatar n tn My 7 y.o. is awaiting a pediatric urology appt but is currently taking oxybutynin 10 mg. After months of her primary thinking it was vag related, a ped gyn dx'd bladder contraction/spasms. These are daily... all day... and now waking her in the night. She is going half crazy from the constant discomfort, which she eases by pressing on her vag area. This is interfering, of course, with her everday life.
