Ondansetron is the generic for Zofran. Why would you refuse it? It's safe to take or your Dr wouldn't prescribe it to you. There's other meds out there if you don't want to take it. My Dr gave me Diclegis. It helped take the edge off the nausea.

Hello! This is me and my husband's first pregnancy/baby :-) I am 8.5 weeks and the morning sickness is so bad I can't anything! I go from bed to couch back to bed... I work full time and have had to call out several times so far... MD gave me some anti nausea pills they kind of work but mostly put me to sleep...any suggestions?

I wouldn't take it for my 1st pregnancy I took it and I lost my baby a month later, also my brothers wife was taking it and their daughter was born was heart problems she had to get surgery at 2 weeks old and at 4 months she passed away. She recently passed away on July 24th this is all fairly new. I work in a pharmacy and even the pharmacist lets pregnant patients know that this medication is high risk meds.... I just found out I was pregnant and I wouldn't take it ever again!!!

I almost feel guilty for complaining but I need some sort of relief if possible. Did anything work for any of you? What about that constant bitter taste all the time? Please share your remedies/stories with me. Thanks.

Does any of the medicine the docs give for morning sickness actually work? Everything else Ive tried isnt helping and its so terrible! I barely get through work and if it gets any worse Im not going to be able to work I really dont want that!

I was prescribed ondansetron by the hospital for hyperemesis from 6 weeks until 17 weeks after being admitted multiple times due to dehydration and starvation. I tried two others first but they did nothing. I could not keep anything down, even my own spit had my dry retching and I lost 15% of my healthy bodyweight. I still felt ill after stopping at 17 weeks but I was able to cope with it better as it had subsided a good bit.

Its normal not everyone pregnancy is the same. And all pregnancies are different. I was sick 7 days a week for 8 months with my first born. With my second child i had morning sickness a total of 4 timez. With this pregnancy I've been sick twice and ive just hit 12wks today. Be happy u don't have morning sickness it really *****!! Lol.

Sure thing! Also try sea bands, ginger snaps, and I'm not supposed to have salt, but found a lime salt that saves my car rides! My doctor even prescribed Ondansetron (Zofran) for me. I've even tried essential oils, but most have such an overwhelming scent it triggers even more sickness!

I was put on 50 mg of zoloft a month ago and have had nausea ever since. It seems like it's been getting worse over the last couple of weeks. Yesterday I was prescribed Ondansetron ODT 4mg. It doesn't seem to help. Will the nausea go away?
