Hello my 12 year old was taking omnicef for a ear infection and 10 days into it she got hives all over her body and they come and go and really ichy do you think it's from the Omnicef?
That depends on your doctors comfort levels in prescribing , a patients ability to tolerate side effects, other medical conditions, effectiveness of using opiates, but typically- most physicians will not prescribe over 90 to 100 MME mg dosing per day-(Morphine equivalent dosing per day)- and typically only for patients who have been on opiates for some time. MME dosing combines both long acting and immediate release types of opiates to reach 90-100mg MME daily.
I have had a round of Avelox a few weeks ago and recently Omnicef 600mg/day for 10 days and still have discharge. Question,

Exactly - the med is the same, the strength is the same - the pack is just an easier way for your doctor to prescribe it rather than actually figuring out how many pills to prescribe - and also probably easier on the pharmacy for them not having to write out all the instructions on dosing.

Hey old-timers.... I was perusing the "official" dosing instructions for Pegasys on the pharma company site. After you poke yourself, you're supposed to pull back slightly on the plunger. They say if blood appears in the syringe, STOP and DISCARD the whole thing.

1. I know this indicates you've hit a vein, but whats the big deal - why do you have to stop? It's still going in the old body.

Unfortunalty I'm allergic to alot of antibiotics. It's good to hear that your tinnitus went away. I'm just scared of the antibiotics making it worse. 2 years is a long time! Are most of your symptoms resolved?
Tylenol is unveiling new maximum dosage instructions for paracetamol or acetaminophen in the US. The new instructions state a maximum total daily of 3,000 mg versus the old maximum of 4,000 mg. Additionally, it states to take the over the counter dosage every 6 hours instead of every 4 to 6 hours. Hi all, wondering if you have come across information indicating that flagyl can treat babesia at the same time it's treating Lyme. I understand it's also a antiparasitic, so not sure if that counts. You don't need to go to anyone for medical help, but try to read the instructions more carefully. Over a longer term such a misunderstanding could cause problems. Usually the 50,000 unit dose is "once a week" for non-compliant patients who don't remember to take their pills.

Yes. But like all OTC drugs follow the dosing instructions on the bottle and don't use it too many days in a row. With my last pregnancy I got so big and uncomfortable at the end I would never had gotten any sleep if it wasn't for a little benedryl once in a while lol.
Just make sure you follow dosing instructions for the drops. It is important that you take all your drops! Other than that there is not much for you to do. If you were instructed to maintain a certain position then continue to do so unless your surgeon says otherwise. However, it will not effect IOP. The only position that would effect IOP is having your head lower than your heart, like doing a headstand.
My 4 yr.old son had an allergic reaction to Omnicef. Hives all over and swollen hands, arms and feet. It's been 18 days and still gets a slight case of the hives . Within the last week( 3 times) he's had leg pain(muscel pain) joint pain. He has a hard time walking, usually the next day he can, it lasts anywhere from 12-24 hours. The 3 times he's had the leg pain he's either been swimming or riding a bike, took him to the hospital, blood work, x-rays and urine all came back fine.
